OK, how is it that I've literally lived across the street from this place and never tried it until just very recently?? If you're eating wings anywhere else in Volusia county, and maybe even all of Florida, you are seriously missing out!! Mulligan's has THE BEST wings, hands down, of any place in Florida. (Sorry Houligan's, Wing House and Hooters...these guys have you beat!) And if you read my other reviews, you might notice that I'm something of a "wing nut"! Try the "Mulligan" wings...they're simply amazing! The sauce is they're own concoction of "sweet, sour, BBQ and spices", and it's mouth-watering delicious! Have them grilled for an even more awesome taste treat...I prefer to have mine "wet", AFTER the grill...I know, it's just gluttony!! The wings are true "JUMBO" wings, very large and meaty. I'm a big eater and a basket of ten, sometimes with their amazing french fries, are enough to stave off even my appetite. The rest of the food is just as tantalizing and I've heard really positive things about their Reuben sandwiches, their 1/2 racks of ribs and their Fried Green Beans. But as awesome as it is, the food isn't the only reason you should come to this very friendly, Cheers-style pub. The people who work at Mulligan's are some of the friendliest you'll meet. The term "neighborhood bar and grill" fits this little place to a tee, and from the extremely amicable bartenders to the affable and never-far-away wait-staff, you'll feel like you're part of the family the first time you come here. Now for us beer drinkers, they have the usual "yellow fizzy" culprits on tap, but they also have a seasonal brew or two (such as Sam Adams Summer Ale or Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale). Of course they have Guiness Stout on tap and, in bottles, they have DogFishHead IPA (60 minute!), Spaten Optimator, Red Stripe, and all the usual Buds, Bud Light, etc. They round out their menu with an impressive dessert section for a bar and grill. Lately, they've had two home-made goodies available...a Peanut Butter Crunch Pie and White Chocolate Cheesecake. The Lady and I tried to get the Chocolate Decadence cake that still graces the menu, but alas, it is no longer offered. We tried the Peanut Butter Crunch Pie...it was delicious and decadent. We also tried the Key Lime Pie, and if there's anything that this establishment does NOT do well, it's the Key Lime Pie. I don't recommend it. I DO, however, recommend coming to watch the game on one of their MANY flat panel TV's or joining the crowd on Friday or Saturday night for one of the best Karaoke parties in the area. There's quite a bit of talent that shows up, and the party goes on until 2:00 am! So if you find yourself in Port Orange craving some AMAZING wings, and an all-around great time, get down to Mulligan's and check it out. It used ti be very good. Things have really changed. The beer has gotten really expensive. Now, french fries, tator tots and more are now premium sides and they are charging $1.99 extra for it. Regular sides have now become burned homemade chips and they are horrible. Salads are very nice, but their famous italian dressing have become oil and vinegar. The shrimps are flat and tasteless, probably frozen more than once. They also charge you extra for using credit cards. We're never going back. read more

Place has gone down hill over the years. My husband and I have been going here since they were at the Publix plaza across the street. Took my 11 year old there this past weekend. She ordered the potato skins and ate two of them. Says they were too burnt. I got the 6 piece lunch wings with Garlic-parm sauce. Absolutely disgusting!! I asked the waitress for a different sauce to dip them in because they were so overcooked and dry. I told her this and you'd think maybe she would have asked me if she could have the cooks remake them but nope. She never asked. Im just not one to point out to a server my food is bad. When the ranch dressing is crap (they are now using Craft dressing) you pretty much know everything else will be also. We used to love eating at Mulligans. Not anymore. the new owners don't know what their doing used to go their all the time the salads were awesome now their small and very disappointing ordered a drink and they must have waved the bottle of liquor over the glass all I had was club soda. I started with an order of water and clam chowder. The chowder was really good and I enjoyed it quite a bit but my complaint comes with my order of Nachos. I am not exaggerating when I say hands down that was the worst order of Nachos Ive ever ordered. There was almost no queso and the little queso there was was cold. They topped it off with cold shedded cheese. If I wanted better Nachos I could have had my friend joel make me a better plate of nachos with what we had in the fridge at home. Been going here for years but the service has been going down hill and it's finally at the bottom. Hidden up charges are finally the last straw. Ordered the Captain Platter, states it comes with Soup or Salad plus 1 side. Got the French Onion soup and fries and was upcharged a $1.99. Waitress said it's not on the menu but it costs more to make so they charge more. Refused to deal with it, very unprofessional, which is about all they have now. Came here on a Friday night with family. Ordered a few dishes, 2/4 were an issue unfortunately. Boneless wings with three different sauces, all of the sauces tasted off. The sweet and spicy sauce they advertise is just Frank's sweet and spicy, the garlic parm tasted spoiled, the hot sauce was a strange Tobasco. This used to be a two week favorite of mine.Onion Soup and a salad.I ordered onion soup and it was all Croutons and very little soup.The next time I went in I ordered a salad and onion soup no croutons it was great. Today I went in and ordered salad and onion soup and was told it was no longer on the menu and the people at the next table were told the same. They Changed the menu and its terrible and off went the onion soup. We have been coming here for years, almost every week for trivia fun but recently I visited this restaurant and noticed a patron who brought in two dogs. I asked the server and she said that it was the owner. I then noticed the owner bringing his dogs behind the bar and into the kitchen. I immediately handed my check to the server and told her that the owner can pay for my bill because I refuse to cater to restaurants that allow this. In hind sight, I should have paid for my meal. That was a bad decision on my part. I was told not to return but that's okay. I'm not going back to a place that allows animals (not service animals) not only into the restaurant, but into the cooking area, kitchen. We where very excited to Karaoke, but we felt discriminated since we weren't regulars. We were skipped over, and as a table if 7 we got one song, while every other table full of regulars got a song each. Our young children became very sleepy and wanted to do 1 more song as a table but we were told that person who ran karaoke said that the regulars would be very upset if he were to make an exception and break the rotation rules. We asked all the others there if they wouldn't mind letter our 4&8 year olds sing one last song & they were completely fine with it, however the karaoke runner was not trying to satisfy us non-regulars. Went there today, the food was really really bad. Drinks and prices great (draft beer and wine). Crust on the fish was so thick and hard sent it back, onion rings not crispy and inside was slimy. Really good bar food. Went on a Sunday and they had great specials. Ordered the sweet potato waffle fries with the mallow dip which were phenomenal. Not greasy and the mallow dip was a sweet addition. I had the beer cheese soup (as a side) which also very tasty and a grilled chicken teriyaki wrap. Honey had the 1/2 lb of boneless chicken with the Thai sauce and it was very impressive quality, flavor and portion for $7.95 for the Sunday special. She also got a side house salad with the wings for the $7.95. We had two drinks and the bill was $30 before tip. Definitely great bang for your buck. My fiance and I loved the wings here!! He ordered Hot and I ordered mild. I've got to admit that I liked his better but I got what I ordered...they were definitely mild. They were huge, wet, and crispy! (Haha). We also ordered the fried pickle chips and fried mushrooms. The pickles were the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside..the same goes for the mushrooms.
