Then the real knee issues. Swelling pain and randomly non weight bearing. Complained for over 16 months. Only to find out incidentally during a burn scan that I have a large cyst behind that knee. Went back. This Dr didn't even examine me or ask questions or look at the pics I had sent in. Then had the audacity to write a progress note saying he did. NOW MY CYST JUST RUPTURED. IM IN AGONY. This practice is awful. Big egos and smug to add to it. Jerks. So I've been in pain for over 16 months thanks to them. Again Horrible practice.

After many years of going to pain management for neck pain, I felt it was time to see an orthopedic surgeon. I thought I had made an appointment to see Dr. Sutton, but a Dr. Ranelle came into the room instead. This guy is a trip. He made a grand entrance, spouting comical remarks that fell flat and awkward. He asked me a few QUICK questions I felt he already knew the answers to. I didn't get a chance to tell him of my neck history because this guy already had an agenda. That agenda was to push GABAPENTIN and physical therapy. I informed him that I would not be taking gabapentin due to its side effects - some quite serious - and if he asked the right questions, he would have found out that I am not a good candidate for that drug. And if I was going to take gabapentin I would have stayed with Pain Management. Mr. Wanna-be-the-next-Eddy Murphy did not like my response and went into a spiel of condescending and intimidating remarks that bordered bullying, going into a rant about how "he doesn't know ANYONE who wouldn't take gabapentin," while shaking his head and alluding to me being strange as he continued. I felt like I was in the twilight zone and just wanted out. He also kept telling me to "trust him." Look, if a patient doesn't want to take a certain drug, ACCEPT IT. I left disappointed. I was hoping that this doctor would be the one that would talk to me, give me options, and let ME decide what treatment is best for me. I do want to point out that the staff people were very nice and professional. I will not be returning to this office.

Little did I know that without my knowledge I signed myself out. Not once do I recall this doctor discussing my problem with me. he was more concerned about his relationship with a former boxing champion, than my problems. When I complained about a patient sitting in his wheel chair covered in vomit, I was told that I was not his doctor, and it was none of my concern. When these same nurses complained to Bonner about my outburst on patient care, he agreed with them and told me to shut. This is why Bonner wanted me out of this rehab. when I complained about the lack of care myself and others were getting, his response was "If you feel that way then you should go home'. Once I returned home and saw the amount of medication he prescribed, 9 different pills 4 times a day equals 36 pills before bedtime, I called his office as instructed on my paper work. When secretary told him who was on the phone and why, he refused to talk to me. He could care less what effects these pills had on me, or my wife. outbursts of anger along with stress thinking about what I was taking or what good they were doing. After several attempt to get him, I gave up and call a druggist for help. Was advised to shelf the meds and see how I feel. Took his advise and am happy to report that most of the rage, and anger is gone. what bothers me more than anything is that this 'so called doctor, and these nurses" will never have to account for what has been done

Jean was my Therapist, her 30 + years experience was evident in how she attends to her patients specific needs. The staff are all trained in the Graston technique of breaking down scar tissue, deep tissue massages, therefore reducing inflammation and pain for quicker recovery. At EXCEL, I experienced more tools and techniques to aid in healing than at any other clinic. It is a very clean, relaxed and fun atmosphere and always looked forward to my treatments there.

We worked out a treatment plan, and I have to say I have been able to take the edge off whenever I needed to. I refuse to be completely pain-free, since that's often how addictions start. I am consulted on every change, and expect to be weaned completely off by September.

Imagine, if you will, that Dr. Soon Jung of SEPA Pain & Spine asked me, a mason, to build a brick…read morewall. My first task is to dump a ton of bricks at the work site, which I do, but directly on top of my client. I heard his screams clearly, but my focus was on doing my job. Undeterred by his agony, I commenced building the wall, brick by brick. Eventually, I uncovered Dr. Jung's battered and crushed body, and he is in severe pain. Fortunately, Dr. Jung recovers fully, with maybe a touch of PTSD. The wall I built was strong and straight, level and plumb, and met all the building codes and customer's specifications. But for some reason, Dr. Jung now seems more than annoyed at all the pain I caused in the process of flawlessly doing my job. The analogy is perfect: although Dr. Jung's procedure on me worked, temporary though it may be, the procedure itself hit an 11 on my Scream-O-Meter. No true physician would permit this, but would immediately stop and apologize if it happened by accident. If the job of a physician is to minimize pain, Mr. Soon Jung is no physician. Final note: General anesthesia has been used in medicine since the mid-19th century. Not using it, here in the 21st century, on a patient with no specific contraindications, is truly barbaric.
