There's so much to see inside, with all kinds of book genres all well-organized and easy to search. The staff was incredibly friendly and approached me twice to ask if there was something they could help me find. They knew where everything was and knew sometimes even before they'd look what was on the shelves and what wasn't (or what just sold a couple of days/weeks ago). The selection of used books is astounding, and the varying levels of quality was unexpected too - nothing was garbage, and while there are clearly used books here, there are also really nice, mint level books too. To give you an idea of the scope of books I'm talking about here, I left with a mint paperback of Starship Troopers from 1997, and a high quality copy of the published 1896 Pennsylvania School Laws (yes, that's a very old book). The staff are incredibly helpful and know their inventory well - don't be afraid to ask for help finding something if you've spent 20 minutes lost in treasure hunting mode. I cannot stress enough how great The Book House is - it is the quintessential used bookshop where you'll find yourself fully immersed in the browsing experience. Street parking is available, and it is an easy walk even from around the corner. One of the noticeable things is the new location's building is in much better condition. There are almost certainly less books for sale now, but it's also less crowded, and everything is much more organized. Books are located on both levels of the shop, and they have one of the larger used selections you'll find at an independent shop. Other media for sale also include various movies and comic books. If you like independent used bookshops, this is worth a stop.
