My experience was not great I bought 19 plants for 4500.00 plus tax. Oh and just to be clear there was line items for delivery and planting in that total. I got my delivery date and the Team showed up on the day and time. Very courteous site manager. HOWEVER after planting half of the plants they acted like they were done and I was confused to say the least. I asked what about the 7 limelight hydrangeas? And I got a puzzled look, and then after some checking the site manager says "oh we didnt have those in stock yet. since it is the second week in March in East Tennessee, I think ok I can go with that; when are those coming? what I hear is oh we will get those probably in 2 weeks and we will get those delivered and planted for you then. WELL, it's April 30th, no hydrangeas, multiple phone calls and text messages and an empty bed. I even got a text message asking me to send a picture of the hydrangeas. my reply was "picture of what?" The response "of the dead hydrangeas we need to replace". My reply "I don't think we are on the same page here I NEVER got the hydrangeas!" Radio silence after this. Got a message from corporate about scheduling a check on the plants for the guarantee they offer. So I thought okay I will ask them about my hydrangeas. Got no response. So needless to say my vote is NOPE to Moon Valley. Too expensive and poor customer service.. Rate them a zero If I could.

This past spring I've had to spend around $5,000 here for the landscape of my farm and a few other…read moreprojects. That's alot of plants! Typically I've been pleasantly pleased with the customer service. Now, I've been told you cannot return (which I understand), but if need be you can exchange. Anyways, I purchased 6 PEARL GLAM shrubs. Took them home watered them, and then we had rain the next 3 days. Out of the 6 there was ONE that was "crunchy". I said to myself "surely they will exchange this". Now their receipts only show pricing, not what you bought, nor does it have the return/exchange policy. But I'm not even going to use that as leverage. I walk in with my shrub, and politely ask if I can exchange this? My others are in perfect condition. The young woman asked another associate, her name Brooke. Brooke looks at it, and starts by saying they don't do exchanges, but she will this one time. NO. Not done yet, she continues to ask me questions, I answer and follow up with questions back about what could've happened. Her response " I don't know I'm not there". Ok so I said so you're making me feel like I'm being interrogated, yet I'm asking you how I could've prevented this and there's a HUGE standoffish attitude. She's like I can't resell this, that's why I'm asking questions. I'm like FULLY aware, but I'm saying to her I did the same thing to all the plants and the other 5 are perfect, so maybe it was in the down and out before I took it home? Anyways, she points to them and walks off. RUDE. Really considering taking my business elsewhere if a continuous customer is getting treated this way. I understand policy, I'm a business owner, but to play gatekeeper and provide poor customer service while interrogating me in front of staff as if this what I want to be doing (driving 35 min out my way). Just really disappointed. On the bright side, GREAT selection! I've had great results on all my properties.

The selection was great, and while prices were a bit on the higher side, that's expected when you're supporting a local business rather than a big box store like Home Depot or Lowe's. You also pay for quality of the plants and service, so don't let the prices scare you. My only complaint is the limited selection of perennials. They had tons of houseplants, annuals, and other varieties, but the perennial section felt a bit lacking. Still, the overall experience was amazing. One tip: if you get easily distracted or overwhelmed, maybe visit once just to look around, then come back with a list. I made the mistake of trying to browse and shop at the same time and ended up leaving empty-handed because there were just so many options. (Not a bad problem to have--just be prepared!) The staff was also super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend checking this place out!
