What followed was a nearly nine-hour wait to diagnose what ultimately turned out to be kidney stones. Even more concerning, during that entire time, not a single doctor came into the room to personally evaluate, explain findings, or discuss a treatment plan. Healthcare professionals are entrusted with caring for people during some of their most vulnerable moments. Unfortunately, this facility failed to demonstrate even the most basic standards of communication, compassion, and patient care. The lack of urgency, professionalism, and respect we encountered was deeply disappointing. This was, without question, one of the worst healthcare experiences I have witnessed. Based on our experience, you would likely receive more attentive and compassionate care at many urgent care centers than at this hospital's emergency department.
