Not likely to return for a meal. This isn't the first meal I've had here. Previously I scoffed at…read morethe cutting board they served my burger on for barely being the same size as the burger. This time was just pathetic. There was a smell as soon as you walked in, that should have been enough to get me to turn around. The carpet ,who puts carpet in a restaurant, was fraying and nearly made me trip. The table hadn't been wiped down. We had to ask for silverware after the food arrived. The menu stated that the soup came with crusty bread. The table next to us had it with their soup, but when mine came there were two pieces of sliced sandwich bread. The mushy peas with the haddock was garden peas not marrowfat peas. The chips had a bunch of black rotten bits. The music was so depressing, it all sounded like Lana Del Ray. Could not get out fast enough.

We were enjoying ourself in a small circle just a few steps from so called "DJ " Punchbowl Pete. One of our friends touched Christmas decorations which were dangling above his head .Then Punchbowl Pete without any word of explanation or warning approached him rapidly from behind and hit the back of his head with his fist. Then equally rapidly he withdrew himself back behind the console. So when our friend turned back he could not even see who the hell hit him. And rest of us who were in front of him, even if we could see it all very well, we gazed confused and surprised by such state of affairs. I have to say I've been to many places and I've seen many things but I've never encountered such outrageous behaviour of a owner of the establishment towards his customers. To me such thing is no more no less but a criminal offence. However, all of you who are reading this review, please be advised, you don't have to expose yourself to this kind of treatment

i have got to write a review we visited the ship on saturday night for a meal and it was fantastic,…read moreso much choice on the menu personally i would recommend the steak done to perfection there is so much to choose from, from starters to sweets there is something for everyone the sweets are so moorish just what you need to finish a great meal. there is alot of drinks to choose from good real ales and great house wines. it is set in a beautiful location with a huge back garden there is also play equipment for the children (let them use there energy). highly recommended we will most definitley return again.
