Update, Apr 29, 2018: Highgate was very professional with me when working through this process. I was referred to their sister office and had my bite adjusted. Since then, the pain has subsided and my overall oral health, I am happy with. This was all possible because Highgate worked with me and listened to my concerns and worked with me to resolve them and for this I'm being grateful. Update: I am in continued communication with the office and am working towards a resolution. I met with Dr. Katy once again. She was very polite, professional, and organized. When we met originally and things were somewhat chaotic, that was her first week in that office. Perhaps things have settled in and my initial visit was just off the cuff. I will continue to keep Yelp updated. Original Review: I would like to speak to the manager here. I had a root canal by Dr. Katy and I'm still experiencing pain. I find this rather odd as I should have absolutely no feeling in that tooth. I've had a root canal before and that tooth is fine. No feeling and no problems. I also found Dr. Katy's chair side manner quite unprofessional and very disorganized. When I went in for this root canal, I said I wanted an implant because I didn't want to deal with the process of a root canal again. I was talked out of this by Dr. Katy and I'm rather disappointed as I feel I wouldn't be in this predicament had I trusted my gut instinct. read more

It's a great dental clinic. I've been a patient there for years now. High quality care is always given. All the staff is so nice and professional and I feel so welcomed as I am constantly greeted with friendly smiles. The questions I ask the staff about my oral health are always answered in a very clear and concise way and I highly recommend this dental facility. read more

And not any apology, no clear explanation. I even sent them an Concerns with treatment email and they didn't respond until I called. The dentist was yawning all the time during my treatment, and complaining about being busy preparing food for a party the night before. Did significant damage to my wife's tongue. Yawned and complained of being up late the night before. Did not even inform my wife of the damage done to her tongue (she saw it in the mirror and was shocked). Did not apologize, in fact acted angry at my wife for "complaining." Terrible dentist, inept, uncaring, and cowardly. do NOT go to this clinic. In response to their reply: My wife does not feel safe in your care, and I don't blame her. Very fitting that you try to blame this on her biting her own tongue, that's right in line with how you have handled it so far. UPDATE I wasn't going to make this public but decided to now since they seem to ignore private messages. So the permanent retainer that was popped off accidently by one of the hygienists, has came off for the second time in 1 year!! I called to give Highgate Medical Dental another chance and to resolve this issue that they created. I called for an appointment to get this re-glued at no cost to me as I was charged last time, and also due to the fact its already came off again.. I don't think enough of the bar was glued. Instead of being understanding or even talking to me in a decent way, the receptionist was SO RUDE to me. First, she threatened me saying they wouldn't even consider helping me until I took my negative yelp review down, and kept bringing it up in the conversation. When I told her I am calling to book an appointment, not discuss the review she said "this is about your yelp review now". Then she proceeded to accuse me of breaking the retainer myself (?). She was speaking to me rudely and then informed me that because they have a new dentist, I may have to pay to get it fixed but I wont know until the day of. So, even though I was charged last time... they want to charge me again? Horrible. If I am going to have to pay I would rather give my money to a dental office with nice receptionists. Its a shame because the hygienists are good but the receptionist I spoke to ruined any chance of me ever coming back. read more

Didn't use this dentist office:however, from what I'm hearing how the receptionist talk to their clients, I will NEVER go to this dental clinic! The caucasian receptionist that handles the calls is so rude, pushy and obnoxious! The owner of this clinic should really consider keeping this one with customer service training or get another to save his/her business. read more

The dentist and his dental assistants do good work and are good at explaining everything, etc. However, one of the receptionists was extremely rude to me about a year ago and it really made me think twice about going there again. I see that a recent comment on Yelp confirms that she may still be working here. I have decided to give it one more try, but if I get the same service from the receptionists I will definitely lower this rating and look elsewhere. I will also be more than willing to increase the rating if things have improved with the attitudes of the administrative staff. read more

My husband and I just went there to get cleanings done. We were not greeted at the front when coming in. I had to initiate why we were there. Then they said nothing else til we were called into room. We came in for cleaning...they booked us each 1 hour and 45 min. Telling me we would have cleaning, xrays and dental exam. We both only got half our teeth cleaned! And not even a full clean..no polish etc. Just scraping and water pick. It has only been a year since seeing dentist not like it was years. The hygenists said i may have to come back 2 or 3 times? What? But he also said my teeth weren't that bad? If they had of done the cleaning first they could have done xrays, etc. the next time. Then 2 people came in without a mask...one lady crying and her husband talking loudly. I had to make note I was uncomfortable with the person with no mask on. The staff said nothing. We won't be going back. I told them my husband has very sensitive teeth and bad anxiety due to previous dentist work. So he is not happy camper. Feels like gouging to me. I spent $140 on our teeth being half cleaned. The only good thing I can say is my husband said his hygenist was gentle. My mouth was throbbing after poking my gums. Not good experience. read more

I wasn't going to make this public but decided to now. Over the years we have seen several doctors at this office, and they were all incompetent. We also experienced disrespect and other problems with the support staff too. One referral for me was absolutely vicious! I was told that if I didn't attend this specialist, it will cost $100. I told her to cancel that appointment. Other referrals were misplaced or forgotten. The staff at this office are just lazy. We had to phone this office to change the time of an appointment with Dr. Rezvani to late afternoon the same day. After being shown to the exam room, Dr. Rezvani came in and he was obviously angry about something. He treated us like criminals, and made us beg for our pain medications. Then he yelled "SHUT UP" at my wife! I immediately told him not to talk to my wife like that. Rezvani was rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful. We were totally confused by his behavior. I was terrorized by Rezvani during our last few visits! When Dr. Hassam found out about the problems with our appointment, he called us in. We complained about our visits with Dr. Rezvani. Hassam would not listen, minimized and disregarded the effect Dr. Rezvani had on me, and then banned us from the office! We have been cut off of our pain medications now. The other doctor's offices around our area will not prescribe these types of medications! Dr. Rezvani and Dr. Hassam have denied us our basic rights to proper and decent Canadian Medical Services. I'm sure they got paid well for the many hours we spent in this office! Seriously, if I treated people the way this office staff does, I would have been fired from my job immediately. I was going to the dental clinic for a few years but last week the receptionist talked to me in a condescending manner. She was asking me why I wanted to reschedule when I had confirmed my appointment already a few days ago. I told her that I had to go out of town, which I did. Fortunately my life does not revolve around a dentist appointment. I did give my 48 hour notice and she first said that it wasn't. I called 3 hours before the 48 hour time window. She was rude. Excellent staff, Dr. Katy did my fillings for me, very thorough. Every time I have gone for a cleaning, always been satisfied. I skipped about 10 years or so and when I went back I had to have two appointments to get both top and bottom done. They take very good care of my teeth and me. My hygienist Neetu is excellent and her job. front staff are friendly and accommodating. No issues here. read more

I had not gone back to this dental office for almost a year, because the receptionists tended to be rude. However, there was one receptionist (Julie) who was quite helpful and pleasant. For that reason and a practical reason, I made an appointment for today (May 15, 2015). I was "greeted" by this rude Asian lady. Her attitude was obnoxious. I felt as if I had interrupted her day and that I was there - to irritate her. That I didn't belong there. That I should have gone somewhere else and not going near her!!!! After registering that I was there, she brushed me off and told me to sit down. After stewing for five to ten minutes, I had realized that guess what? This receptionist is in a service industry and she should have a pleasant manner, no matter how bad her day was. If she doesn't like her job, go do something else. Don't irritate us customers!!! I've spent a considerable amount of time over my 49 years sitting in a Dentist chair and I have NEVER come across such an "OUTSTANDING" Dentist as Dr. MOUSAVI at Highgate Medical and Dental. She is extremely Gentle and very Informative through every step of the dental process to ensure your Comfort. Her work is Absolutely Impeccable. You will not find such a Caring Considerate person or Dentist as Dr. MOUSAVI. I also found the Reception and Staff there to be extremely Polite and very Knowledgeable. Donald Walker. read more

I went to high gate dental for a check up and cleaning. The price was good, the service was okay.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Absolutely worst dentist I have ever been to. The receptionists are completely rude and condescending. The dentists are terrible at what they do, painful and uncomfortable. Also, if you're looking for any cosmetic work DO NOT COME HERE. They are barley qualified to do fillings. And don't expect to build any relationships with the dentists because that place is a revolving door and no dentist stays there longer than a year. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more
