I found this shop completely by accident whilst looking for a wool mattress topper on line. Living…read moreoutside of London, I quickly fired off an e-mail to see if what I wanted was in stock. Next day a friendly call from Isolde to advise me she will happily keep my item ready for collection next day. Wow, what a little secret this store is, tucked away. No frills or anything fancy. But clean, very well organised and professional. Isolde had answers to all of my questions about the wool topper. I managed to find out that she has been there for 19 years, and yes she is Austrian. This shop also does duvet cleaning, including refilling, adding more feathers/removing feathers, plus making up special size duvets. Is that a service or what! ABC sell silk, down and wool duvets, including of course wool toppers. I slept like a film star last night. Got out of bed and felt fanstastic. Oh while I remember there is a 10% sale for all personal (walk in) and telephone customer orders. This won't last though, I'm getting another wool topper. If you are going to treat yourself to anything this year in the sales a topper or duvet from this store is a must. Trust me it will be the best money you have ever spent.

I like this store because it has beautiful bedding and faux fur throws. I like this store because it doesn't abuse colour and has nice terra cotta robes. I like this store because it has two floors and sells a multicoloured owl (for 35.00?!). I like this store for the glasses, for the laid out rooms with lime paint ( and I hate Lime but it works here). I like Habitat for it's naff prints for your wall. I like it for rugs and bumpy sofas that are comfortable yet slightly ill fitting. Yes, I'll be richer one day and shop at Habitat. I'll live in West Hempstead and be raw and bleached regularly. Unfortunately we can't bring funishings back with us, but we did however find great articles for around the house. Why would we travel with these items from the UK to the USA? Well, they were beautiful and get this, even with the dollar to pound conversion ... cheaper than we can get here. It is true! Pretty and not pricey. I love it!

I love the furniture in here and there are some stunning trinkets and exquisite storage ideas that have an exotic look to them. The pieces in this shop could really transform the interior of a place. I would love to buy some of the striking items in here but everything is just a little too pricey for me. If I had the money I would have bought the whole shop by now and I understand why the items are expensive because of the craft and skill gone into making the beautiful pieces.
