Throughout my appointment, Dr. Gregonis demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to understanding of pulmonary medicine, coupled with their unwavering her attention to detail, and inspired confidence in her ability to diagnose and treat complex respiratory conditions with precision and empathy. On March 9 of 2020, Dr. Erica Gregonis began her career as chief medical officer at Baptist Health in Richmond. Dr. Gregonis, has served as chief medical officer for Baptist Health Richmond and a physician with Baptist Health Medical Group Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. I arrived about 15 mins prior to my appointment, I was processed thru and in a room in about 30 mins of my arrival. There were complications with my insurance provider that was beyond the control of the staff, however they worked quickly to resolve what ever the issue was. Dr. Gregonis's clinical acumen is truly impressive, as evidenced by her ability to develop a innovative treatment plan that was tailored to my unique needs. She demonstrates vast experience in managing chronic respiratory diseases, conducting pulmonary function tests, and most importantly inspiring confidence in her patients. Dr. Gregonis approaches every case with a blend of expertise and compassion that inspires confidence in both patients and colleagues alike. Moreover, Dr. Gregonis has excellent communication skills and demonstrated a willingness to collaborate across disciplines have significantly contributed to the success of our pulmonary care team. Beyond her clinical excellence, Dr. Gregonis is deeply committed to advancing the field of pulmonary medicine through research and education. I have came here twice now within the past two years so I say it's a good time to write a review. I…read morealways get an early appointment because it gets busy, so when I arrive I'm the first. When you have an appointment you have the ability to complete all your paperwork online AND they send you a packet of paperwork to your home WAY ahead of time in case you don't have internet access. The staff is friendly and professional, the office is clean, and they move quickly. For the particular appointment I come in for I am told takes 3 hours. It's more like 2. I know that, that seems like long time but it's not when it's cut down by an hour. I trust the doctor here so I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My only experience with Dr Gregonis relates to a family member having a Bronchoscope procedure. She…read moremay be talented in the OR but her bedside manner needs work. I felt like I was annoying her asking questions after the procedure. She wanted to rush away from us after the procedure. She actually stood up and headed for the door when we still had questions. Also her office must be disorganized because we received an entirely different report from her nurse practitioner (two positive cultures) than we did from Dr Gregonis. When I asked about the differing information she brushed me off with "I called my office to check and only one culture was positive". No apology for the misinformation. We were made to feel like we were in the wrong. I am not expecting a physician to be super chatty but I do want to get my questions answered and I want to a least feel like then genuinely care abut their patient's well being. Didn't get the impression she cared at all.

They're not great about answering the phone and will place on hold and not pick up. They even turn…read morethe phones off during the day if they do not feel inclined ot answer or they get ringing too much. I witness this while I was in the office for an appointment on day, so that is not a rumor. They have no voice mail set up as such you cannot leave a message, if you do leave a message with staff, you never hear back. I've also had them cancel scheduled appointments with less than 24 hours notice. They have a patient portal, but never check messages nor respond. If you do not specifically ask to see the doctor, they will place you with a APRN, instead. You do ask, you never get a response. If you have any testing done, do not ask them to explain it you, or you will get a response like I did, "Well I could explain the result to you, but you would not understand". You only hear from them when a bill is due or a problem with insurance. No communication or concern for patients. If you have a lung problem go straight to Lexington. I had my PCP refer me to another physician, over 60 miles away, not happy about the distance but very happy to have a provider that is truly patient centered. I would have given them zero stars but YELP will not allow a review to be posted without a rating of at least 1 stare. Do you research, this experience is common thru other reviews of this place.

Everyone is so nice and welcoming. The Dr and staff know how to treat patients in a kind, and…read morecaring way. They do testing for all Allergies and shot in the office. No touching things you just use your card to log in or tell front desk you are there. Right beside First Baptist Church so in the middle of town.
