The cutest, coziest little coffee shop I ever did see! I got a drip coffee, which was surprisingly good and strong (but not overly so). BUT, the real stars of the show were the *home made* baked goods. I got a lemon and poppy seed Bundt cake which was just divine. Then, I got one of the chocolate chip cookies and oh my godddd- I swear the experience was transcendent. DO NOT PASS ON THE COOKIES if you're in; I would k!ll for this recipe. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop. I often drive 30 minutes from my small town to Mugs in order to write my sermons there, because the space is just so nice and pleasant. There is plenty of space and plugs for electronic devices. It's very cozy and the service is always friendly. The coffee is great as well! This is my favorite coffee shop by a long shot. read more

The atmosphere was calm and very friendly going in. Probably a great place to study as a college student in Commerce when you don't want to go to the library or stay in the dorm. This is the perfect coffee shop. Sits in an historic town square. Inside an historic old building. Has the brick walls, wood floors and comfy chairs that make you feel like you want to spend time hanging out. Then you meet the friendly ladies who make your fantastic Signature Latte. I wish I had a place like this closer to home, but then it would be in the big city and couldn't be this. Will always stop here when I'm riding through this part of Texas. read more

I am so happy I decided to walk into this coffee shop! Commerce is really lacking on food selection. There really aren't any local spots, but this is an absolute gem in their small downtown. It's only a couple min from the University, so that was super convenient for me. They have so much seating, and outlets everywhere! Perfect for college students. I chose a little table with and outlet and sat for 4 hours and was so comfortable the entire time. The whole place is just so cute...cute decorations, cute seating, tables, etc. the workers are friendly and the menu is great. The bathroom is cute and clean. I got a medium dirty chai latte...it was delicious! They have many flavors for drink options and some bakery items as well. My now go-to study spot! read more

Found a new happy place! My coffee was less than 4 dollars and they do refills for a lower cost since I was here for a while doing homework. A "Texas fall" snickerdoodle brewed coffee, Mexican vanilla and half and half... it was amazing! Was filled with families, some town group gathering, people reading, working, planning weddings (ALL 3 daughtersat same time!) and several group friends chatting. Great place! read more

I am from out of town, but still working. Being at this coffee shop was so amazing. I felt at home, the customers that worked here all day would chat with me, and the wonderful people working here made me feel at home. This is such a beautiful coffee shop all around. On top of that, the coffee here stands up with some of the more famous local places I have been to. You're missing out if you're not coming to get coffee here. A great place to have a cup of coffee and tables are far enough apart one does not hear the other people talking. Great 'public' place to meet someone for a first date. Mugs on the Square is every coffee lover's dream. This quaint little coffee shop is the breath of fresh air that Commerce didn't know it needed. The atmosphere is rustic and filled with southern charm. As a college student, it is a great place to study and sip on their town-famous drink "Texas Fall". This mixture is snickerdoodle roasted coffee, homemade Mexican vanilla, and a splash of almond milk. This business is in touch with the town and university. Wow. Great place. Nicely constructed. Wood floors, good lighting. Many spots to sit and work or play. They have board games! Muffins and brownies available. I absolutely love mugs!! I've gone a few times and it's just great. It's a great spot for college kids to hang out and get a caffeine fix while doing work! They are responsible priced so you aren't breaking the bank if you want to get coffee and a snack! I've had their signature latte and it was delicious and I've had their regular blacked iced coffee and it's great! Plus they have cards for every 9 drinks you get the 10th one free. I looooooove my ladies at Mugs! Their drinks are just as good as their service. A lot of original homemade drinks are offered on their menu. It's always a warm and inviting atmosphere in the coffee shop. Students love it for studying, catching up or meetings. I love this coffee shop near school while away from home! The people who work there are sweet and the coffee drinks are amazing! I have been there six times in the last couple of months and I have to say that I enjoy coming there whenever I want to get a cup of coffee. The coffee shop itself is actually a very nice facility as well. Commerce saw a need for a coffee shop in the small town and that need has indeed been met! My two daughters and I love Mugs. The people are friendly and the coffee is great, the best I've had. The vintage downtown area and shop are so charming. We make the 35-minute drive just to hang out, play cards, or write. We even bought their T-shirts, and we love their chocolate chip cookies. read more

The plain cake donut, ate early in the morning, was a revelation. It's hard to find a perfectly executed cake donut- subtly crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside. Her plain cake donut checked these boxes. Phenomenal. The mini-cinnamon roll donut was delicious. Quality cinnamon, pleasantly sweet, just amazing. The apple fritter was good, as were the donut holes. The others, I shared with my wife and son, who both heartily enjoyed their donuts. This is our second trip to camp at Cooper Lake SP Doctors Creek Unit (first time July 2021). One of the attractions for us is the town itself. We were told of the new business by some locals we meet at the camp grounds and we were not disappointed. The young lady working behind the counter was fantastic she answered all our questions with joy and a smile. She embodied the greatness of small town TX. The store is a mix of coffee shop, expresso, hot chocolates and smoothies. along with several home made /grown items from soaps, oils, jewelry, too grass fed beef, pork & lamb from a local rancher. Re-usable straws and some awesome looking colorful wrapped tervise's and water bottles. It is not possible for me to capture everything, the best thing I can tell ya is drop in and say hi. We purchased some Spicy Picked Eggs, Serrano, Raspberry jams, Spicy Garlic pickles. While the spicy Pickled Eggs look a little strange add a little salt and if you like hard boiled eggs you will not be disappointed. We also purchased some of the house blend coffee. We purchased some Americano coffee, nothing fancy there but we also had a coffee/hot chocolate sorta mix called a "Bunch O' Crunch." It wasn't a Mocha or anything like that but something much much better.
