I took my 2006 Toyota Prius here to install a new catalytic converter since the original was stolen. I called and went to many places however either they would not make an offer to replace it, or there offer was very high $3500 and higher. Finally my son called some places for me and found Muffler Express. Not only would they do the work but at almost half the price of my lowest quote. I went there concerned about how it would play out. These guys were legit!!!!! They showed me the parts they were going to use. I asked if they were the ones I needed because the smog check folks check the serial or model numbers to make sure they match the acceptable models. They got the work done in a couple of hours as they stated they would. They then before I paid and left ran a test to make sure there were no more engine codes. None were found paid and left very happy. Now the moment of truth! I took it to the smog shop to find out the results.... Passed no problems! I have been using the vehical constantly and it runs like a champ!! :) If you need muffler services, or other work they do I highly recommend these guys because on top of the quality of work the team is also friendly and helpful ready to answer any question or concern you have, They know there stuff!! Worst service I've ever experienced. If you don't speak Spanish, they basically ignore you. The owner told me to wait 40 minutes and come back. When I returned, he told me to wait another 20 minutes. After that, he suddenly said the workers needed a break and I had to wait another 30 minutes. Meanwhile he was just standing around talking with his friends and doing absolutely nothing. Completely disrespectful of customers' time. All I needed was a simple fix -- tightening a bolt on my exhaust so it wouldn't move. He said it would take 30 minutes and then charged me $60 for it, which is ridiculous for such a basic job. The whole situation was just weird and extremely unprofessional. No organization, no respect for customers, and a complete waste of time. I would highly recommend avoiding this place. read more

I had a leak in the Center Exhaust Pipe on my 1989 Toyota Camry Wagon; the Toyota dealer found this leak. I got a new pipe, which the dealer said was the correct part number for my car but it was too long, and the dealer couldn't cut it. Took my car back, because of squeaking noise. I told them that it sounded like a metal contact. They didn't listen, but re-welded that they thought could of be causing a leak. The owner wanted me to pay more, but it was under warranty (bring your receipt.. the son was cool to deal with) Finally took it to Kiwik-Way Muffler. I Had 2 mufflers I had bought installed and was quoted $110 to weld them on my car . Guess $110 was ok for labor and disposal of old mufflers . It took less than 30mins and as they gave me the keys they said it would be $220 total . I hesitated at first , but told them I only had the quoted $110 . Then they asked if I had a credit card and I said my wallet is at home nearby , it would take 5mins . They refused to give the keys to my car until I paid the rest of my balance . They then suggested I leave my cell phone then I can go get my wallet . So with no other choice besides having someone come to me and pay $ 110 . They held phone and I was back in 5mins paid $220 for them just to weld 2 mufflers I had brought . Would you go to a business again if this happened to you . read more

My friends VW Beetle catalytic converter was stolen. They changed catalytic converter and O2 sensor for $900 which is very good price. It was fast, they could speak spanish and very friendly, flexible, guided us well. I could remove a star, becuase they asked me to go out and buy a O2 sensor in autozone, which is a hazzle in last moment - but they cannot be prepared for it since they were not aware of that in advance. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! I called and they said it was $80 for a muffler delete on my 2018 Ford Focus. Then I show up and they said that the hangers had to be longer and the pipe had to be bent. Now price was $110. I said ok since it's $30 over. Now after cutting off my muffler they ask if I'm keeping my stock tip, which I had said since the beginning I'm keeping it, they said they need to pipe a Y-Pipe that's $120. I said no and to put my muffler back on and they said it will be $110 still. So now I'm stuck with either no muffler and horrible service for $110 or $230 for horrible service. P.S. I've been standing here for 30 mins already and at minute 20 they stopped working on my car after angrily agreeing to $230. Too late to fine another muffler shop at 4:30pm read more

These guys can't weld for shit. I just had them do a simple resonator and muffler delete, and they left pin holes from welding the straight pipe so now I have an exhaust leak. How do you fuck that up? Seriously. On top of that, I had to get my secondary cats replaced, and the ones I bought were a little bigger than the OEM ones, so they welded the cats sideways instead of taking an extra couple minutes to weld some elbows to make space. I'm on stock suspension and my cats scrape when I go up a driveway. Now I gotta get the pipe cut and welded again to pass smog. Please save yourself the nightmare and don't cheap out, go to a legit muffler shop. Came because of pricing from a recommended customer. Called in first to ask for a muffler and resonator delete for my cousins ST and just add the straight pipe up to the stock tips and was told $80. I arrive and they give us a new pricing for $110 because of custom tubing ok price was still fair. After 10min they had everything layed out and ask my cousin if we were keeping the exhaust tips he said "yeah". They come back with a nice pricing of $230 because just the piping was $110 and now with a custom Y-pipe and stock tips came to $230. Like wtf how do you go for $80 to $110 to $230 in a matter of minutes instead of analyzing exactly the work they doing on the car. Worst customer experience and work so far. Israel was very knowledgeable, he asked me year make model and I told him that I wanted a good sounding muffler that didn't sound crappy that sounded like a manly lol it's for my 03 expedition and he recommended the super 44 from Flowmaster. Wow that muffler sounds so good on my expedition I love the rumble of it I must say ford doesn't have the loudest engines according to Flowmaster themselves. I'm very happy they helped me as soon as I pulled in they have good prices I recommend them to my friends and family. So i went here, had my aftermarket exhaust installed. Note : its just some bolts and hangers no welding no nothin. They spent like 10 mins max. They quoted me 100 bucks so i was like okay. Then i went home seeing the exhaust is like not aligned prolly just rhe way it was bolted. So i came back and ask them to adjust it for me like unbolt it then align it. And they said just come back tomorrow coz theyre doin something. Then i came back the next day. I talked to the other guy inside he keep on insisting that aftermarket exhaust are all like that. Like dude youre just gonna lift it up unbolt it then align and bolt it again. If i just have the toold i wouldve done it myself. So yeah they lifted it and tried to unbolt hell i even heled the guy align my own exhaust even though im the customer wtf. Then i asked him how much and he said 40 bucks??? For what? For helping u fix the wrong alignment you made for my exhaust. Dlnt comeback here theyre a bunch of lazy ass mofos. They charge a lot. And they dont do a good job.
