This review is long pass due. I've been using Jon's services for over 20 years now. I have recommended him to many friends and family who also love his work. He is honest, does quality work and he is quick. His pipe bending skills are awesome with the least amount of back pressure. I have nothing bad to say about his business nothing but the best is all your gonna receive. Plus he guarantees his work and will always have the best advice and solution. 5stars by far the best work I've seen. Thank you so much I hope to see you continue your business- Brian read more

Great service! Highly recommended! Kyle is awesome and does great welds! highly recommended.. thank you!

Today, my pipe detached from my muffler and was dragging under (not sure how or why) but I needed a tow and needed a location to get my car towed to. I called John to see if he would be able to fit me in. He calmly said likely yes today but also please send photos to him so he can be ready and confirm so my tow would be helpful. Thankfully He was able to take my car today!! He was so nice and honest of what possibilities there were and once the car came, he quickly inspected it and told me what would be needed. Reasonable quote (I was thinking it would be much more) and he showed me his work after as well. Thank you John for your kindness, calm voice and help me alleviate my stress today! I definitely recommend anyone going to Speedee Mufflers! read more

Came in not knowing what to do with my car specifically and he was able to provide me a consult without judging me. Excellent service here and work! He was running a bit behind on my appointment time but he was able to finish my muffler delete and tip in a short time with good quality and got out on time. read more

My truck didn't pass the smog test. I called SpeeDee and with good fortune, they were able to fit me in on same day. They picked up the parts in advance, and had me in and out in about 45 minutes. To top it, it was the most reasonable price I found. Thank you! read more

I called in to get a resonator welded as my exhaust system was droning at certain speeds. SpeeDee Mufflers was able to fit me in with an appointment the following day and did an excellent job. The employee who helped me also informed me that a portion of my exhaust was rubbing on the crossbar and fixed that for me free of charge. I had previously attributed the clanging noise to my sway bars but this solved the issue! Excellent service and pricing, quality welding work. read more

I came in because I was smelling exhaust Inside my car and it was running loud. John took a look and identified a leak in my catalytic converter. Unfortunately it wasn't something he could fix at the shop, but he let me know exactly what to ask for from the dealership and how to go about getting it taken care of. He was very friendly and didn't even charge me for the work. Great place. I would recommend it to anyone. read more

Their price was not bad and he even give me a discount. Basically I called to tell them about my converter that got cut and they give me a quote. Showed up late but the guy still took me in even though it close to closing time and he still have another customer coming. Very good customer services. He even have another guy cleaned the chair for me before I sat down. read more

Although this is the first time I've needed work done on my muffler, John has made the experience amazing. He was very accommodating to both my girlfriend and I and didn't try to upsell us on replacing our Cadillac converter when we inquired about it and insisted that we wait until it was needed. Originally, I had planned to go to Classic Muffler Service Center but the owner, Andy had asked us to come next week because it was too hot for him. I'm glad that I didn't go there because I would never had experience the service John provided us. He even gave us two cold waters! read more

Catalytic converter taken from car. Started looking for replacement on Monday. I didn't want to drive far from home, possibly illegal and a very loud drive without a catalytic converter. Fortunately, SpeeDee Mufflers is very close to my house and very highly rated. We discussed different aftermarket options to be smog legal and reminded me to pickup an O2 sensor. The quote was within my price range and was able to schedule the install the same day. The install was done quickly and my Monday was looking a whole lot better. Appreciate the great service, thanks. read more

I goggle this shop it had great reviews the days of operations are Monday- Saturday. I stopped by Saturday and the shop was closed.

What nice folks. I called around noon and had an appointment for 2:30 to have a new Cat I purchased on Amazon installed. Got there 15 minutes early and rolled straight in. John was done in under 30 minutes and even welded up the muffler all for the same price he quoted for the Cat only. They have a great lift, all the right equipment and a clean shop (for a muffler shop). read more

John is awesome and I was referred by Ken from Tech3. Their almost like neighbor shops. I had a crack on my car flange on my 02 Mazda Miata. I might if damaged it because of the speed bumpers. The car is slightly lowered so it was my fault for driving too fast. He quoted for the patch at $35 dollars. I accepted his estimate and love his attitude. He is honest and helpful. He is also concern about the old gaskets but I didn't bring any extra. I will come back in the future. read more

Okay, so I went with my cousin to get an estimate for a straight pipe on his car. John estimated it to be $220 with tips and made an "appointment" for Tuesday at 9am. When my cousin got there, John had no idea about the appointment, raised the quoted price to $320, and did not even have the tips in stock and sent an employee to go pick them up from Hayward. What the heck? How do you do business like this? My cousin just took his keys back and left. We got the straight pipe done at another shop for $120 with tips (way cheaper than this piece of shit place). I no longer recommend this muffler shop. read more

John is the man! He's a pro at what he does. Business aside he is also a friendly guy. He's always smiling and cheerful. Some mechanics are very intimidating, dealing with John makes it easier if you are not familiar with automotive jargon. Unfortunately the garage is small, so if they are busy, be prepared to wait. But estimates on time frame and price is spot on. No hidden surprises. Anything with exhaust stuff this is definitely the place to check out. read more

I'm glad I went to Speedee Mufflers highly recommend! Super friendly and welcoming. He installed my Corsa Sports exhaust on my Mustang in less than an hour and lowered price for me. He does a great job and does it in a caring way. Love how my car sounds now. Thanks! read more

Was looking for a local muffler shop! And John shop was around the corner from my house. Had asked him can he muffler delete our BMW X3 213 muffler and sure enough made a appointment. 5 star all the way! Great guy and great service very honorable. Sound lovely much appreciated god bless! read more

John and team are fantastic and work at a fraction of the normal car restoration hourly cost. I went with an aggressive exhaust tone on my 75 bronco with a 5.0 mustang 302 engine in it with a single chamber exhaust -- and the prices are so reasonable--I actually told my wife--if its too loud we will just have them install a different one. I had enough confidence to tell the "boss" (aka my wife) that I would rip and replace it if I wasn't happy because the cost was not a factor. Too Loud -- who I am I kidding -- I love it and thanks to Kyle for directing me to the configuration. They also installed shorty headers on the 67 cuda project car and it was no easy install. Had to replace a starter with a mini starter and the fit was more than tight--it was near impossible. They put a magnaflow dual chamber exhaust on it -- made for the perfect exhaust note and the car launches off the line. We even went with a retro european chrome tip to match the style of 67 rear-end -- which John suggest and got for me. It looks awesome--its clear that its custom (replaced a pee shooter) but it looks so organic to the design -- its noticeable but not distracting. Could not be happier with John and Kyle. Strongly recommend. read more

John's a nice guy that's why I'm giving him a 5 star but I wasn't satisfied with his work. I had to take my car to another shop, Classic Muffler to have the muffler tips aligned. They aligned it perfectly in just 10-15mins where John could have done it the second time when I came back. read more

John and Kyle are a pleasure to work with. When I brought in my 09 Acura TL last week they both gave me their initial descriptions on what it would take to get the job done. I wanted to get the resonators from my muffler removed and turn my dual pipe into large quad-pipe mufflers, the bigger the better. Kyle built a custom Y-pipe out of each muffler in order to weld the two-muffler tips onto each side from a single output. The cost for the four 3.5" tips they had to order in addition to the custom work on the car came to $540. Which was great since the last time I got this done on a car was in 2006 for $300 and they didn't have to order 4 additional muffler tips which were around $200 total. My more memorable part of their service, as I waited impatiently at work for the call that it was finished, was that Kyle called me not to tell me it was ready, but to say that he had done the work as described, he then sent me an MMS picture of what he had put together, and asked me if okay to proceed, and then finished the job within the hour. My car was completed and they even let me take home my original OEM mufflers and said I could sell them on eBay to get some of the money back I paid for the job. They really went above and beyond to make sure my car was perfect. It feels like they were working on their own cars and give it the attention and care you would expect. John even asked me if I wanted the sound to be louder, because he could adjust it even more so, I told him it was loud enough. I didn't want it to be obnoxiously loud (the way you hear those 4-banger civic with the 5" cat-back that sound like pissed off bubble bees). My car now has a deep throaty grumble that isn't so loud that I can't hear my music in the car, but boy does it purr when I hit the accelerator. If you pay in cash you get a small, but noticeable discount. Adding my pictures to the comments. Cheers read more

Mine was a little difficult because I was putting my muffler back on to sell. The welds were a little tough and it was a pretty difficult job but John was able to work his way through it and get the job done much to my appreciation. They made sure I was comfortable by giving me a clean chair and some water while I waited and was super relaxed and chill the entire time. Honest work with great prices. Between here and Classic Muffler down in Blossom Hill, these two shops are the ones that you can always depend on to get whatever you need done! read more

Review is long over due. I had SpeeDee install an exhaust on my car about 10 years ago & their pricing is very fair and they did it in the same day. 10 years later, my car failed smog check on an un-related exhaust problem. My regular mechanic suggested I get my cal-converter changed & referred me to SpeeDee in the same plaze & I'm glad they were still there after all the years. John helped me & looked at the papers I provided him & he called up and ordered the part. Because it was late in the afternoon, John said he wouldn't be able to get to it until tomorrow. I asked if I could just leave my car overnight & he could get to it as soon as he could tomorrow. The price for the parts & labor was very fair & cheaper than what my mechanic thought it would be. John called me the next morning & said he was done and could pick it up anytime. I picked it up & John suggested I drive my car about 100 miles before taking it back to smog which was good because I was going to take it to get smogged right after. Week later I took it to smog & it passed! Thank you John & SpeeDee! read more

Second time at this shop and never fails! Super friendly and knowledgeable. I went to another shop first to get a quote on installing a titanium Greddy muffler on my Mazda and had bad vibes from that shop, quoted $180 and told me he had to cut and weld the muffler on. Came here to Speedee and he quoted me half that, great! I told him the last guy said he'd have to cut and weld it on but speedee (sorry forgot his name) informed me no because you can't weld on titanium and went right to work and finished in less than 30 minutes. Throughout the process he called me over a few times to show me what he was doing and if it was okay to do this or that. Made me comfortable and gave me some peace of mind knowing he really goes out of his way to please his customers. 10/10 would recommend read more

I had John install some MagnaFlo exhausts for my Mercedes CLK430 back in the days and they sound / work great until I sold the car. Recently, my new Audi SQ5 has some issue with a custom exhaust hitting a hitch and making very annoying sounds. He's a very cool guy and has very good service! - Calvin read more

I would really like to thank, John! I called SpeeDee Mufflers and John gave an estimate, but recommended for me to go by so he may look at the Vehicle. The next morning I was there with all my questions and concerns; which type of Muffler, Style, Noise Level, and of course the cost. (way cheaper from the other shop down the street that was recommending a softer sound.) John was very honest, knowledgeable, and hands on with checking the original muffler explaining the differences in Pipe Sizes and outlets. He made his recommendation, and I'm glad that I went with his choice. I made my appointment for the next morning, he had me in and out in 45 minutes! He even had time to help two other customers with their questions while keeping on task. My Truck sounds GREAT!!! Again, thanks John for helping me with picking my first Flowmaster! I'll be recommending your Shop to Family and Friends! read more

I've been to many muffler shops in the past and this is probably the worst job I've gotten on my car. I'm very picky with how my piping is done and my usual spot I go to, always does a good job. Since they were very busy, I decided to give this shop a try. After leaving the shop, I noticed a lot of vibration and loss of power. The worst part was my shift linkage made contact with the piping which made my daily driving so uncomfortable. Definitely do your research before trying out this shop. Chill dude, but quality of work isn't the greatest unfortunately. read more

I scheduled an appointment at this place to get my mufflers and exhaust system checked out. I spoke to some guy named John on the phone and he was very nice and seemed very knowledgeable about cars and exhaust and mufflers in particular. When I came in I was a couple minutes late but he seemed really cool about it. He racked car and showed me the problem. He explained which part was defected and told me its function in my car. In no time he welded my part and it was ready. But during my wait, this guy was answering phone call, translating for the shop next door and checking prices for other customers. This guy did everything. After he charged me $80 for the part and the world which is very cheap he even offered to check the code for the engine light in my car. Walking out of that place I can say I'm super satisfied with the work you did when I turned on my car I thought that I was driving a Prius. I can't even hear my car turn on. You don't run into a lot Oh people who who work hard and seem like they enjoy their work. No wonder John's been in business for over 25 years. I'm definitely recommending this place to friends and family sometimes you don't just pay for the work you pay for a trustworthy person who knows what they're doing and is honest about the job they do. read more

I purchased a Flowmaster 40 on Amazon, and was looking for a good muffler shop that could weld it into my Silverado for me. I was bracing myself for something that was outside of my price range. Called a few muffler shops, but they were either unprofessional over the phone or didn't even pick up. When I called SpeeDee Mufflers, they answered right away, and were polite and super professional. Ended up going with them, and was so pleased how quick and smooth the installation was. John had it done within 30 min. And the price was unbelievably lower than I expected. This is now my "go to" muffler shop! read more

I came here to get my catback exhaust fitment reworked. I was sent here from another shop nearby when they advised me to get my exhaust reworked. The mechanic at Tech3 scheduled an appointment for me with Speedee for 10:30am. I came in and they were ready for me. Before doing any work on my car, the workers asked me what I needed to have done and they gave me all the options that they offered. They wanted to do what I wanted to do, not what they wanted. Since all the options sounded good, I went with the one that would be best for my vehicle. I had them cut and re-weld my exhaust and had them weld on an adapter that would correct my fitment. They charged me $60 for the service. They gave me cheaper options but I went with the best one. I had a really good experience with these guys. John ROCKS. For the price you are getting pretty good quality. He does good work and his prices are cheap. My downpipe broke one time and he welded me a new exhaust for under 150. My buddy did a fresh engine swap and at the time there were no exhausts made for his setup yet. I told him to take it to John and in less than 2 hours we had the exhaust installed and ready to go. Best of all.. His work is lifetime warranty (as long as you have the receipt and own the vehicle I belive) but nonetheless he's fixed anything that wasn't right for free. This is how you're suppose to run a business.. good job John! read more
