Fast, not expensive, and the gentleman had a sense of humor too! So far, so good! Would recommend!

Mufflers4Less in Rogers park is amazing!! A princely $180 just now to fix a horrible-sounding muffler problem that the Midas chain shop in Evanston wrote me an estimate of $1433.32 for yesterday -- those gold thieves swore i needed muffler, all pipes. and a lot more, and their fine print reserved the right not to release the car without more work if it needed a cat converter too or if their parts fell off! The real problem? A couple of totally rusted-through pipes on either side of the resonator (fine btw) that Octavio walked me under before and after the work to verify. In and out in half an hour, and our little Mazda purrs not bangs. Can't praise Octavio the and the crew here at Mufflers4Less enough; or for that matter our lifelong mechanic too, Phet at G&G in Evanston, who steered me to Muffler4Less just an hour after that Midas s-show. read more

Long story short, I originally had my vehicle serviced (routine) by Toyota. When I received my Highlander back, the exhaust was significantly louder. Ended up being a broken flange bolt. Toyota wouldn't repair or accept responsibility. However, they referred me here. Called ahead of time and spoke to Luis. He said I could bring the Highlander in now. Brought it in and they were able to replace the bolt. Issue resolved in less than 30 minutes. Now I won't die from carbon monoxide poisoning. The price was a very small fraction of replacing pipes. Don't judge the shops appearance by the quality and service. read more

Armando helped us with getting our keys out of our locked car, and was so helpful! The service was fast, efficient, and free of charge! He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, would recommend to everyone. read more

In and out in 30 minutes. Fernando was fast and honest. Pointed out the problem, gave me a great quote and quick work. I'll be back for all muffler and brake needs. Thank you! read more

I drive an older car with not many years left on it. It was getting pretty loud and I was afraid some shop would want me to replace my entire exhaust system for a cost more than the car was worth. Took the car in at night and used the key drop. Had a call 1st thing next morning and they said they could repair my issues for under $200. They did the work, got the car later that day and it's great. Overall, fast, friendly and good workmanship. read more

These guys always do great work and are honest. Good pricing and even took care of my mother in laws rattle for free. Highly recommend read more

I had a minor issue with something in the undercarriage of my car. They took a look and got my issue resolved within minutes! I will certainly be back! read more

My Catalytic Converter was stolen. These guys had it replaced in about an hour. I needed to order an oxygen sensor because the autozone up the street didn't have it. He told me to come back after I get it and he'd put it in for free, which he did! Then he told me the Check Engine light may come on after 30-40 miles and if so, he'll fix it. It did come back on, and he reset it. He is a really funny guy too suggesting my next car should be a Lamborghini. read more

I thought it was my muffler that needed to be repaired instead it was my flex joint connector needed to be fixed. My truck sounded like a motor cycle when I would start it and when I drove. The nice (very) man there took very good care of me. He pulled my car in showed me what was wrong and how much it would cost ten minutes later I was ready to go. My truck was quiet again. The embarrassing noise was gone. I live in the Hyde Park neighborhood so this location up north was about a 30-45 minute drive from my home. Well worth it. Thank you Muffler 4 Less. read more

this place is ok bc it is cheap and quick. HOWEVER, the mufflers i got here lasted about 1 year, and I got several. they'd charge me 20 buck or something to install the free replacements so it wasnt terrible but the mufflers they were using must have been pretty low end bc they lasted only a year or sometimes two. then it's back to mufflers 4 less for a new one. also the pipes i got there lasted about 3 mufflers....so approx 4 yrs. ymmv read more

hands down best!!! got there at 545pm (they close at 6) and they figured out what was wrong with the muffler, yanked it out and replaced it, all within 20 minutes. It was $80. The team was super nice, straightforward and obliging. No more huge muffler sound, no more leaky exhaust. Gracias Amigos! read more

Seriously. 10 minutes to replace my (stolen) catalytic converter. Impressive. Polite and funny. Paid less than expected. Hopefully won't HAVE to go here again soon, but will if I have to, and would highly recommend. read more

I'm so fortunate that this place is a few blocks from my house. I had the pleasure once again of having my poor car get jacked up by treacherous city streets. This time it was an unpaved section of Ashland and carefully placed manhole cover that ripped off my muffler and half my bumper. I went to this place based on good reviews and with the hope that they'd be able to jerry-rig the bumper until I got to my mechanic. With all the speed bumps in my hood there's no way I'd make it to Evanston like that. Turns out I needed to replace the whole muffler system pipes (they were about five years old) and it was only $140 for everything! They not only completed this task in less than half an hour but sure enough one guy was able to bolt the the bumper on both sides for free. It doesn't look perfect but it did the job and my worries are over :) read more

Great Service! Super Fast! Paid less than expected. I brought in my Subaru this morning and they replaced only the section of pipe that had to be replaced and charged me $100. I was literally out of there in 25 minutes. Great job guys, you're my new muffler shop! read more

Unprofessional, rude staff. It appears they are NOT in their right mind.

Fixed my catalytic converter in 10 min with no appointment. Showed me that I needed a new gasket as well and threw that in for no extra charge. So kind, polite, and professional. Hopefully won't need to be back soon but I'll come straight here next time I have to! read more

Okay, second time going to this place. I had a scraping noise going on that only happened when the car was warm and I accelerated from low speed. Weird, eh? I did some internet theory-gathering, and the consensus was that such noises are usually exhaust-related. Long story short, it was a loose heat shield. Fifteen bucks, five minutes. That's it. I like these gentlemen. read more

I have been driving past this place for 10 years now wondering what the deal is. My Jetta with 150k on it needed some work - brakes, exhaust system, tie rod - which my regular mechanic with a full garage was going to do but would have set me back some big bucks. After reading the reviews of these guys as well as others, I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. In and out in a couple of hours and still enough left in my wallet to go over to Gastro Wagon for lunch. They will tell you what needs doing now and what can wait. For the brakes they looked at the front and rear rotors and only did the fronts - saved some bucks there. The VW dealer wanted BIG bucks for the exhaust system fix. These guys replaced less of the system (only what was broken) and charged me $100. Even though the sign says 'mufflers' I asked them about the tie rod which I knew was bad - no problem to fix it. On the way out the door, the owner was sure to tell me to come back at any time if I was not happy with how things turned out and they would take care of it. That is why they have been there for over 10 years - great service, competent mechanics, great prices. read more

After coming here for more than 10 years, and after highly recommending them to so many people I've had enough of this place, the owner is a rude hung over drunk that sleeps on his desk and lies about a price that he give me an estimate for the day before. Long story short he told me $90 the day before, he had started off at $120 , I told him I had no money I'm in a hurry I'll be back. he went all the way down to $90 when I didn't have money with me. I came back the next day in the morning sat in the waiting room and when I receive the bill it said $120 again he shook his head in Spanish and Cursed at me, no one wonder all the employees talk smack and left you. read more

Unbelievable deal. Needed a new exhaust resonator. Dealer quoted me $750 for Ford parts. $560 for after market OEM parts. This place did it for $60 cash out the door. read more

The two guys completed my job in an hour. Cost was reasonable and they fixed a couple of other problems that weren't apart of the original issue as an added bonus. Would recommend this location read more

I backed over a low curb and bent my muffler so that it was bouncing on the ground when going over bumps. I didn't want to lose my muffler, but I had no money to pay for a repair. I thought I should at least have it checked. You hammered it back in place, smiled, and didn't charge me. I am so grateful for your kindness and generosity, I will recommend Mufflers4Less to everyone. Thank you! read more

Incredibly fast and friendly service. They fixed a tailpipe that had snapped in half in about 10 mins and it only cost me $80. Highly recommended :-) read more

In 10 min I was in and out on a saturday w/a new muffler . $60. Super fast!

Very disappointed! Told 3 different quotes in 1 visit. Last time i come here. Especially paying so much for a muffler.

These guys are awesome. I pulled up with a noisy car just past closing time and they decided to work on the car anyway. I was in and out in 20 minutes with a car as quiet as a mouse, for $60 bucks. On top of that the mechanics are polite, friendly, and have a great sense of humor. You can tell they are hard working and happy guys. English and Espanol spoken. read more

Fixed my bent muffler pipe for $100 in 15 minutes. I asked for discount and they guy refused rudely. I did not have time otherwise I would have shop around. read more

This place is great. I came in with a car I just purchased with a break noise. Not only did they take the time to figure out what it was but we're honest that I didn't need new breaks. They could have easily told me I needed new ones and charged me an arm and a leg. I now know how to tell how much life is left on my breaks and know where to go when I finally need new ones. Finally an honest shop. read more

This is a fantastic place to get small things fixed ! They were fast , sufficient , friendly , and cheap ! I will for sure be going back

1994 Volvo 850 wagon The car has always been exhaust throaty type loud - since I bought it three years ago very used. Now for about 10 days it got way louder - and now in last few days there was some smoke under the car at stop lights and when I parked. Visited a few places - learned it was a breathing hose (metal honey comb type part) - about one foot long. Seems back in 94 it was probably part of the Catalytic -- as a picture in a catalogue showed that a 94 Volvo Catalytic most like the OEM would actually be about 5 feet long and have IMO about 5 parts all in one (Saw the full monster in a catalogue at mufflers 4 less) They did their "cut and paste replace thing" with a new universal type part - took them a while - nearly an hour - and for them that is long - and for 150 I was on my way - No smoke and less noise then ever. As context -- two other quotes - 400 and 550 dollars - at two other places (I had 200 cash in my pocket ready to say yes when that would cover it - cash usually gets one a better price) Receipt and warranty included (90 days) While there -- saw their speed and realized why they could make money and offer a solid price read more

Yep, They're fast and good. Walked me under my car before fixing and after to show what was needed and what was done. Pointed out some other issues that a mechanic should fix. $140.00 and 20 mins later I was on my way. read more

I'm a woman and I have been duped a lot at auto places.. These guys are honest! They are fast and cheap . I had them replace my muffler and went back to them the next day because of an exhaust-like small in my car and they found a completely different issue . I went in telling them I thought the muffler was bad because of the smell in the car- they could have easily sold me an unneccesary muffler pipe.. instead they found the problem and fixed it for free...They went above and beyond with me - including running down the street to a parts shop to find and replace a missing oil cap ( which was causing the bad smell- I forgot to put it back on after an oil fill and then lost the cap) and then they cleaned my engine of the oil spatters- all at no charge! Go there!! read more

Raul and Ruben are amazing. Professional, quality service at a price I can afford. As a queer person, I felt super respected. I wasn't called lady or ma'am and they just treated me with respect and talked me through the work that needed to be done. Bottom line, this shop is great. read more

Two months of getting ridiculous price quotes of $1500.00 plus to repair the exhaust system from Subaru, Midas Mufflers etc. and I was just about exhausted and upset until an old friend recommended this place. I took the time to read all of the good reviews that followed. I brought in my car, they put it on the lift, explained the problem, showed me the parts that needed to be replaced, let me see everything with my own eyes and gave a quote on the spot. 15 minutes and $180.00 later I was out the door with a car that purred like a cat. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! read more
