I was truly at my wits' end. Childhood-rooted issues had carried over into my adulthood, and a…read morerecent heartbreak left me drowning in self-loathing, depression, and a vicious repetitive cycle. Traditional Western medications and therapy offered some temporary relief, but the moment I walked out of the office, I was right back to square one--nothing seemed to stick. Desperate for something different, I stumbled across the idea of hypnotherapy. Honestly, I had nothing to lose, so I decided to give it a real chance. After an initial phone conversation, I met Elizabeth in person. I'll admit I was still pretty skeptical during that first week--especially as someone who works in a hospital providing direct patient care, where evidence-based approaches are the norm. But I committed to the process. I followed the program diligently, incorporating the holistic medications/supplements and listening to the hypnotherapy recordings twice a day as instructed. Slowly, almost imperceptibly at first, things began to shift. My mentality and self-perception started changing in ways I hadn't thought possible. By the end of the program, I was genuinely not the same person who first walked into Elizabeth's office. I'm so much more outgoing now. I willingly put myself in vulnerable situations with strangers--something social anxiety used to completely paralyze me from doing. I even reenrolled in school, not just for the education, but to be around others and embrace that environment, which previously would have triggered overwhelming anxiety. This experience was worth every single penny. If you're feeling stuck in a painful cycle--whether it's anxiety, depression, self-doubt, or something deeper--I can't recommend Elizabeth and her hypnotherapy approach enough. It truly helped me get unstuck and move forward. What stands out even more is Elizabeth's genuine care. Even after all my sessions were completed, she still reaches out periodically to check in and see how I'm doing. That level of follow-through shows someone who takes real pride in their work and truly cares about their clients' long-term outcomes. Thank you, Elizabeth--you don't know how profoundly you've changed my life. If you're on the fence, just take the leap. It could be the turning point you've been searching for.

For over a year, I didn't feel like myself--I was constantly in a state of panic. Simple things like nighttime, driving long distances, or even leaving my home felt overwhelming. Elizabeth helped me understand that what I was going through wasn't just about my current situation, but also connected to deeper childhood experiences I hadn't fully recognized. She guided me through those emotions with patience and care, helping me make sense of everything I was feeling. Through her support and the process she walked me through, I slowly began to feel like myself again. I'm now in a much more positive place, and I truly feel like I've regained my sense of normalcy. I was a little skeptical at first, but I'm so grateful I took that step. If you follow her guidance, it truly works. I highly recommend Elizabeth to anyone who is struggling, she made a life-changing difference for me.

But I guess, you get what you pay for! Further to this, I have been again a couple of times and have had some broken and irreparable teeth removed, and I am healing very well. The dentists in this office are super efficient, and as well as the teeth removed, I had some repaired, and they are looking and feeling really good now, and I look forward to being able to go back again when I have saved up some more funds to pay for the treatment.

For my birthday, my boyfriend surprised me with a day pass that included a yoga session, hot and…read morecold contrast therapy, a Quantum energy bed session, and a massage. Honestly, this was my ideal Sunday morning! The space has a no-outside-shoes policy past the lobby. You can go barefoot or they will provide shoe slides for you to walk around in. Definitely say yes to the slides, especially if you plan on using the sauna because the floor gets really hot! I would also recommend sizing up for the slides. They offer refreshments like electrolyte water and tea, which is a nice touch. We started with a yoga session with Lorraine in the Earth Room, which was already a great start as I love starting my day with yoga. I am not sure if the session is always private with the day pass, but it was for us. I do notice the later classes were much fuller. The instructor guided us through movement and breathwork at a slow, beginner-friendly pace. It was a relaxing way to ease into the day. Next was the hot and cold contrast therapy, which included a dry sauna with aromatherapy and a cold plunge. The staff thoroughly explained how to use the cold plunge. You start in the sauna, spend a few minutes in the cold plunge, and then return to the sauna. I enjoyed the sauna more, while my boyfriend preferred the cold plunge, so there was something for both of us to enjoy. After that came the Quantum energy bed, which was the most unique experience of the day. It was immersive, with sound and vibrations traveling through my body. They also provide the comfiest Bose headphones, which added to the experience. The last treatment was the massage with Maraki, which was hands down the highlight of the day. The massage was heavenly and the best I have ever had. She maintained a consistent pace and pressure throughout the session, making it incredibly relaxing from beginning to end. While I was waiting for my boyfriend, they even threw in a 10 min red light therapy session for me, which was a nice bonus! Aside from the treatments, I was impressed by how consistent the pacing was across all the treatments. Even when staff members switched between sessions, there was no disruption to the flow. I think I spoke to 6 staff members throughout the experience and none of them broke the flow. Each transition felt seamless, allowing me to stay relaxed and immersed in the experience from beginning to end. My only feedback would be to have thicker yoga mats or provide knee pads for extra cushioning during the yoga session. Some extra padding would make the experience more comfortable, especially for poses that put pressure on the knees. The spa is located on the first floor of the Skylar Buddha Building in DTLA. There is free parking in the Skylar parking structure, and the security staff will direct you where to go. The introductory promotion for the day pass was $275 per person, regularly $325. It definitely feels like a splurge, but the price is comparable to other luxury wellness experiences in the area, especially considering that it includes four different experiences in one visit. I would recommend it for a special occasion or a wellness day when you want to treat yourself. Overall, it was the perfect combination of movement, relaxation, and self-care. Exactly how I would want to spend my ideal Sunday morning, and I would especially come back for another massage with Maraki!
