She helped answer all of our questions and helped us create the right atmosphere and space to say goodbye. I loved that it didn't feel like there was a prescriptive way it had to happen. In case it helps others with mental imagery, our appointment took an hour. We had our sweet kitty comfortable on the couch- we had a heating pad with a pee pad and towel on top. She was relaxed with gabapentin the morning of to help her ease. Dr. Julie took time to pet Nikko and answer our questions and gave her churu to ease her into sedation via a needle syringe in the back. Nikko took her time to get cozy and fall asleep- we were able to pet her, kiss her head and talk to her. While sedated, we took her paw print and locks of fur- she was a calico so we were able to pick which beautiful spots to take locks from which was very meaningful. Once fully asleep and we were ready, we were able to lay next to her and talk to her as she received the final injection. I was then able to hold her in my arms until she was fully passed. Dr. Julie stepped out for five minutes while we said our goodbyes and brought out our other cat to say goodbye. She was then wrapped in a blanket and Dr. Julie helped us place her in a basket for transport. We were able to kiss her goodbye as she went on her next journey. Thank you Dr. Julie for helping us and helping her. It was calm and peaceful amidst the heartbreak. I hope I never have to see you again, but would recommend you to anyone.

The veterinarian arrived at the latest part of our arrival window. She was extremely rushed and the…read moreentire process was one hour after we had 13.5 years with our boy. She didn't wait for the numbing cream to take effect (waited one minute and numbing cream takes 10 mins) for the shots and he jerked so we knew he felt pain. She also had inaccurate records which I had to ask to be fixed. She did not allow us enough time and when I sent this info to the director they stated they allow for 1-2 hours for appointment tents but it may be quicker if the prior family runs over as they schedule appointments back to back. Not at all impressed and not happy with the service. It was actually very traumatic.

All they try to do is get your bill as high as they can. I've had two senior animals they've…read morediagnosed wrong, one had cancer but they said it was a mouth infection and made our poor girl go through ridiculous surgeries back to back for no reason. we had to go to a specialist and they immediately knew it was cancer... we had to put her to sleep not very long after. Now our other senior animal they've diagnosed wrong said she had a thyroid issue so she was on medication for that for years...turns out she doesn't have that issue she has stage 2 kidney disease. we had to go to another vet for them to run tests accurately and get that diagnoses. They only care about how much money they can get you to spend every time I've been there my bill has never been below $600 because they over sell you on everything and don't tell you the price till you get to the checkout. i highly recommend Martins veterinary hospital they're the best I wish I would've gone there sooner they actually care about your animals and try to help them.

When I asked for the cone he came in wearing back, I was told I had to pay $16 for the new cone he was wearing. (My punishment for requesting the cone he came in wearing back? I was not charged as part of my original bill.) Earlier, during my appointment, I was given two different price quotes for the exact same services (neither of which included a fee for a new cone) that I was supposed to sign. One was about $50 less than the other. I was told that was the one this vet offers when she feels nice. The more expensive one is the one she "should" charge. She did not feel confident in being able to provide an estimate for the services, unsure if the vet would feel nice or not. She tried calling the vet, but I was told the vet was on lunch from 1-4 pm, and they could not reach her. The receptionist was kind and listened to my complaint, but it truly did not seem like she cared nor would anything change. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience. The quality of care and professionalism of one of the tech's I dealt with did not match the exorbitant fees they were charging for those services. We are seeing a new vet on Friday. We're just not confident in the care he received.
