But the worst was the fact that they didn't inform me that I could put the tribute right away, and by the time I did, the tribute had been timed by the death date, so it had not been put with the new notices. I begged them to put it up, but Carol told me there was nothing that could be done. So my son, Gil, slipped the awareness of many. I will never forgive Hodroff-Epstien for that.

Was a comfortable venue... like most funeral homes...dated 80s vibe... but still comfortable and welcoming. I appreciated that there were different places to sit throughout... so everyone doesn't have to sit together; different rooms and seats along both sides of the halls. The memorial room(?) was comfortable, well lit and had plenty of seating; 12 pews on each side of the aisle. I didn't think to picture the pews as they did have interesting and comfortable padding. The room also had good acoustics, as a fellow played a drum. The sitting room(?) across the hall was comfortable and even had a tv that a slide show was streaming on. Parking was easy, not plentiful, about a dozen spots but there is street parking on Minnehaha and other surrounding streets. My only complaint, the one star deduction.... despite being a large human the bathroom stalls were so small. If you don't need to use the ladies room everything else is wonderful. Thank you for providing a comfortable environment for us to say goodbye to our friend.

We had the visitation at the Robbinsdale office the night prior to the funeral at her church and they were helpful in coordinating and paying the sign language interpreter, getting the obit into both major papers, honorarium to her pastor, just everything. I wrote one check to them for the money left over from my mothers prepaid account. And one thing that worries a lot of people of color is will they get our coloring right. They did such an excellent job on this, she truly looked at peace. Carrie and the rest of the staff were top notch through and through. RIP to my amazing and beautiful Mother...

Moving our child to LSELC was the best move ever! The the administrators at LSELC have decades of experience in working with children from infants-sixth grade, and there is very little staff turnover. They truly care about the children and families, and are supportive and direct in their communication. Our child has blossomed under their care, and has developed a lot of self-confidence and self-esteem in their program (especially the summer program). We were a little hesitant because we are not religious, but that has not been a problem, either. The pricing is reasonable, too. We are so grateful that we found this gem of a program. Also, for some reason it is showing that I am in California, but I am not. I was not signed in when I wrote the review, so that may be why? I am in Minneapolis, and our child is open-enrolled in the Hopkins school district.

They had an opening and a good rating online, so we decided to go with them. This March (3/2026) as I was freshening up my hot tub for spring, I noticed that only half the jets were working on only one side of the tub. I started troubleshooting what might be the issue and eventually made my way to the electrical box for the hot tub unit. I opened it up and noticed what looked like corrosion on the key/plug. When I pulled it out and gave it a closer look, I noticed that 3/4 main wires were completely fried or corroded. Yikes, that is probably the issue. When I called Mr. Electric's service center, I was met with no concern (Oh my, that doesn't sound good - yeah, you think?) and no offer to come out and inspect the work and then repair the issue (past the warranty period), just that another technician could come out and do the repair work for us. Why would I pay for your techs to come out when I'm experiencing shoddy work from you guys already? I pay a professional to do the job right, the first time around, so that I don't have to get things re-done and spend more money. With the track record I already had with them, I opted to not re-hire. I instead went with my main HVAC/electrical/plumbing company who came out and repaired and cleaned everything up (and stands by their work every time). When talking to the electrician who came out, he mentioned the reason this whole thing happened was because the wires were not tightened correctly during the initial install, one of the wires became loose overtime, overheated and then fried the other ones. The box that housed the electrical unit was closed and always locked with a padlock (so that my kids wouldn't open it up and messed around with it). When I mentioned that to the electrician, he said it was probably a poor install from the get-go. I'm so glad I caught it when I did, I hate to think the harm this incompetent install could have caused to my house and family. Not sure if those loose & overheated wires could have caused a house fire but I wouldn't want to risk it regardless. I will never hire this company again.
