I was completely satisfied with the results and the looks of my "new" patio. I called Matt (the owner) back to rebuild a retainer wall that I had collapsing into my backyard and it was a real eyesore. He sent his crew out within just a few days and they did a great job of rebuilding the retainer wall. I recommend this company for anyone that is looking for any type of paver block work, whether it is for a new patio, driveway, walkway, etc. or a repair job. You will be satisfied with the price and the work that is done. You would be glad you hired them!

He and his crew, Sam and Manuel found more than they bargained for and it required more than we anticipated. Hidden rotten wood was subsequently torn out and replaced, aluminum siding was refitted, the entire structure has been shored up and will easily last another 24 yrs!! They did a great job! Vince has all of the windows working great once again and adjusted all my screens as well. I am very happy with the work they did and the price I paid. I plan to call on him again. Highly recommend !!

We had Vince and his crew create a stamped patio at our last home in Shelby many years ago and I am…read moresure that patio helped sell our house after many years of family gatherings on it. I was so glad to find him again to create an elevated custom patio, walkways and driveway at our new home in Washington township. Again, Vince's crew came through. Hired to power wash out old polymeric sand and replace with new at my elderly parents' home. The…read morenew sand washed out of most of the joints and flowed over onto the tops of the pavers, staining them and covering them with the sand they hired his company to put in the joints. Since the bonding sand is all over the tops of the pavers and not in between the pavers to hold them together, we now have stained pavers with variable amounts of sand joining the pavers, some overflowing and some with none at all. "The Brick Paver Dr" owner claimed it was a water flow issue and requested videos showing water draining cleanly from the roof and down the downspouts. We took all the videos requested showing water flowing smoothly down the downspout. Would not respond to repeated attempts for communication until legal action began. I see the word "Integrity" all over his website, but I don't see it in his business practices. His last text message from October 1st states that he "will get back to me, but not this week". After several further one-way text messages to get this repaired, we got radio silence unto May 19th, seven and a half months later and now he has a different excuse for why his craftsmanship is not his problem. I will add photos and update this review after court. Currently getting competitive bids to fix this mess. ***I even found this gem on his website in the FAQ's page "Q: Does The Brick Paver Dr. warranty their work? A: Definitely! We go above and beyond to ensure our customers are always satisfied because it's the right thing to do, and referrals are a significant part of our business." ***

If you've ever worked with contractors, you'll find an entire spectrum of personalities and workmanship. It is always a risk to take that leap of faith, and we're grateful we found Michigan's Best Deck Builders. Our story: Aaron came over to give us an estimate and scope of work. He was incredibly meticulous and methodical with his quote and sketch from the start. He answered all of our questions with confidence and he was very calm (not salesy/pushy). We continued to take several weeks to obtain 5 additional quotes from other deck builders in the area. There are some great ones out there with big names, flashy marketing, and superstar type-A personalities, and competitive "we'll beat any quote" pricing, and they all made us feel very comfortable, no complaints. Here's where Michigan's Best Deck Builders stood out: Aaron runs a tight ship and doesn't outsource his work to a 3rd party team. He was on our job every day and built our deck himself, with his own dedicated crew. There was never a time that he didn't return a text or a phone call within a few hours and was on top of the schedule. We never had to ask or question anything. That said, his quote was not the cheapest, but we unanimously chose him as he was incredibly reliable and the service quality was meticulous from quote to finish. That's not something we found to be common these days; and if you've had to deal with chasing contractors, you'll value reliability and quality over all. The deck is beautiful and the experience was absolutely stellar. -Highly recommended!
