First of all, I didn't park in the parking lot because I guess I'm stupid. I plugged the mountain into the GPS and it took me to the nearest trailhead (not the parking lot associated with it). GIS data am I right? It's brilliant, but not intuitive.... Typically engineer stuff. It's like having Spock as your right hand man. Anyway, I park by these beautiful houses, I take my beasts out to roam.. with the intent of throwing rocks into the, "H" that overlooks our town as a gesture of solidarity. Meanwhile, Jacksie (my little baby girl) she's hormonal because she's about to start... SHE DISAPPEARED. I guess you could say I got, gone girl'd. Me and Djinn submitted, and did our civic duty, and then we hoofed it looking for, Jacksnthebox. Didn't find her. Where is she? I got a text shortly thereafter saying, "hey is your white dog missing?". Yes. "She's at XYZ address, you should scoop her." Me and Djinnyrd Skynyrd went grab the original beast; got there, picked her up, and started looking for my car... which at this point I realized, I had lost. Finally found the car, and quickly learned that I had lost my keys during the hike. (Fell out of my pocket.). Happy 4th of July, Marcus. "May Zeus strike you with lightning, and your tears fall on the feet of Aphrodite." Anyway... a 2 day ordeal, 30 miles worth of walking, blisters on my feet, AAA, and a locksmith turned it out alright. Happy 4th, Holmes. :) ..but truly though... can your worst day be that bad with these views? It's so beautiful here.

Friendly & Welcoming staff. LOVED it…read more Very clean bathrooms, showers, GREAT water pressure!! Laundry was fair priced and a very clean space. Kamp K9 had two large open pens, little side trails, sidewalks, and quiet neighborhoods to walk dogs and go for a morning run. Even has the entertainment area with horseshoes, giant chess/checkers, hangout area with shade. Feels like it was once upon a time an average RV park that they're bringing lots of KOA love to. Would stay again. Gas station, Ace Hardware, coffee & pizza shop just down the road. Location was easy to get to on the outskirts of town, but also close to Helena city attractions.

Sites are nice, all have grass - which the little white fluff loves. Yes campsites are a little close together but you're most likely going to be out and about anyway. The gathering area is really nice with a gas fire pit, enclosed sand area - perfect for little John Deere tractor excavators of the world, canopy covered dining table, horse shoes, corn hole and other family games. Like morning walks? You will walk for miles. Great street side walking trails that go for what looks like miles into the hills or jump across the street to walk the canal through meandering through crop fields. Bathrooms are clean, laundry area clean. You can walk to a stellar convenience store, grab a pizza at a new little plaza, or get your morning latte as you head out for a walk. Camp hosts are serious about being the hosts with the mosts.

He had an amazing knowledge of the caves and their history. We also enjoyed the gift shop and the restaurant after. We were starving from our cave exploration so the Bison burger hit just right!! Yum! We both expressed that we think our kids would also love the caves!! This is a gorgeous hour drive from Bozeman that I also thoroughly enjoyed.

They do not sell tickets at the site, and most tours are sold out by the date of the tours. There are two tours, both requiring a mile of walking round-trip to the cave entrance and back. The gravel road is wide and flat, and I do not understand why they don't have a shuttle, since the groups are fairly small. Also, we arrived early, but they refused to let us go on an earlier tour, even though there were several no-shows. So, we had to sit around for an extra hour, for no reason. They have a nice little visitor center with a good video, which our guide basically repeated on the tour. There is also a cafe and ample parking. We took the easier Paradise tour. From the cave entrance, we walked an additional 300 yards round-trip to the first of the two rooms on the tour. They say the other tour has a few additional, small rooms, and requires climbing up and down hundreds of steps, and squeezing through tight, slippery pathways. On our tour, the first room was small, but nice. The second room is the largest on either tour, and was quite beautiful. Even so, it was a lot of driving and walking for a couple of rooms. I've been to several, much more extensive caverns. I wouldn't put this at the top of my to do list in Montana, but the main cavern room is beautiful and the park is very scenic.

The other boys father and brother were both watching them, well the guy that mows the lawn, came out of the bathroom and yelled at my son so much that when my son came home he couldn't even talk to tell me what happened. He was sobbing! I went outside and yelled at the guy that if he has a problem with my son come talk to me don't ever yell at him again! Both the other boys father and brother said my kid didn't do anything wrong. The next morning I printed a formal complaint and left it at the office for when they opened at 9am, was headed over at 9:30 to discuss the complaint when a police officer shower up at my door. They said they called about the gun incident, apparently the gun triggered the guys PTSD, well my kid also has PTSD and no man needs to be yelling at him! We ended up leaving because I was due to pay that day anyway and refused to give them ANY more of my money! No apology from any of the staff or owners! And since this incident I have seen 3 men in different stores with real guns oh their waists, if an orange fake gun is going so triggering for the worker's PTSD perhaps Montana one of the most gun friendly states isn't the place for him! I'd stay far far away from this campground you have kids! Below is the fake gun that was so scary!
