    Station

Another subway in downtown Brooklyn. It's right in the middle of everything. The station is pretty clean. It's not pretty but there's nice things about it. This is a good connection between a Brooklyn and Manhattan. Even though it's not the biggest, it still has room on the platform area. It serves the A, C, and F Trains. The most useful thing about this station is the ability to transfer. It's a popular stop for those visiting downtown. This also serves students at MetroTech, a career school. Convenient for access to downtown Brooklyn. It's a fairly busy station. The Manhattan Bridge isn't too far from this.

So raggedy for a remodeled location

This station is where the A, C, F, and R trains meet. They recently did some upgrades on the station, particularly in the main entrance on Jay Street by the elevators. The machines look a bit newer but they still seem to be only partially functional. The escalator and the elevator usually works, but the restrooms are always locked.

After watching wonder women at a near movie theater I decided to take the 2 train in this station. I was amazed with the art designs on the wall this most have taken months to complete. I would of love if we had most trains stations like this instead of having movie ads or commercials. U would say I did get a bit lost looking for the 2 train size the station is so big underground. I always wonder how technology was back then how they perfectly designs all these stations and now that technology has taken so much of a higher path what they will do if they was to reconstruct the train lines. Just somethings I think about on my bored times ;)

I swiped my metro card and proceeded to go through the barrier. As I was pushing it suddenly wouldn't go any further. A fellow passenger tried to help by pushing with me but to no avail. I left the turnstile and walked around in a circle on the spot, obviously looking lost, when I spotted a sign that said "call for assistance". I quickly went over and pushed the red button. After a series of strange tones I heard a (phone) ringing sound, then a female voice asking what my problem was. I explained my calamity to the pleasant sounding voice and she told me to take the elevator to the main area. Tragedy! What elevator? ?? Which (other) main area??? Wasn't I standing in it?!? Just then, a gate opened up to let passengers with bulk packages out and I slipped through and in. Heaven! Well I didn't really slip through as the gentleman coming out grandly held the gate open for me. My euphoria was short lived. As I proceeded down the stairs I saw a policemam whom I stupidly thought was loitering. He asked "is their any reason why you came through that gate?" Yelpers I will not lie, think of all the bad feelings you've ever experienced, × 100 and you'll get exactly how I felt. Queasy, like I was at a job interview, like my water bag just broke, like I was about to go on stage, toothache, heart attack, amnesia because I honestly forgot why I did what I did. I fumbled my response, it went something like this: Me: Lady on wall elevator Police: excuse me? Me: voice said go down elevator Police: what voice? Me: in the wall the wall lady in the wall Police: *Looks confused* Me: ticket not work check it *shoved it at him* Police: no no go ahead Me: *continues down the steps trembling* It took a while for my stomach acids to settle. I would like to say I learnt a lesson but what lesson? I still don't know where the elevator and main area is! I'm just disappointed that I'm not that much of a bad a** as I originally thought I was. *hangs head* The End.

Formerly Jay Street -- Borough Hall. As of December 2010 a new transfer underground passageway connects A, C, R, N, and F trains to unify Lawrence and Willoughby Streets station, which makes Straphangers transfer between A train to R or N train for more opportunity of conveyance traveling between Queens to/from Brooklyn.

Exiting this station will lead passengers intersecting Fulton Street between Clinton Avenue and Washington Avenue. Platform walls have a light green trim line with a dark green border, and ceramic plaques and tile mosaic name tablets reading "CLINTON - WASHINGTON AV." in white sans-serif lettering broken into two lines on a dark green background and light green border. There is small tile captions alternating between "CLINTON" and "WASHINGTON" in white lettering on a black background below the trim line and background directional arrow street-level caption signage. I am always enamored with MTA's original mosaic name tablets and other original mosaic art for the charm and old world craft. This subway station contains a human operated MTA token 24/7 booth located at the Clinton Avenue and Fulton Street exit/entrance. There are no transfers at this station. Platform style is two side against the wall narrow. As I waited for a Manhattan bound C train, with great dismal and appalling disgust, I observed a large rat scurrying the platform behind a garbage can. All in all, err on the side of caution or "constant vigilance" as per Mad-Eye Moody in "Harry Potter." It is not ADA accessible. Nota bene: This subway station's entrance above ground exterior was very briefly featured in The Notorious B.I.G.'s music video "Juicy."

We received timely confirmations and updates, which made the entire process stress-free. The driver arrived right on schedule--actually a few minutes early (at 2:15 AM!)--and was friendly, courteous, and ready to help with luggage. The shuttle itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The ride to the airport was smooth and efficient, with excellent time management that ensured we arrived with plenty of time to spare. This was a 14 person van as well! What really stood out was the overall reliability and attention to detail. Traveling can be hectic, but this service made getting to the airport one of the easiest parts of the trip. I will absolutely be using this shuttle service again and would recommend it to anyone looking for dependable, high-quality airport transportation.

They were clear, kind and helpful in their communication when we initially approached them and set us up with two large shuttles. Their prices were also very reasonable. We had a last minute request to add an additional shuttle to take myself, my wife, our photographer and our dog to our ceremony location at Prospect Park, which they were quick to accommodate without any question. The morning of the wedding, the shuttle arrived early, the driver Austin (who is an awesome guy and deserves a raise) called to let me know he was there, and that he would circle the block until we were ready. He was very patient and kind as we took photos walking up to, and exiting the shuttle. There was a street sweeper blocking the street ahead of us, and to make sure we weren't late to the ceremony, Austin started impressively backing down the one way street, maneuvering around cars to get us back on the road. Luckily the street sweeper moved and we could go forward, but the fact that he was willing to do that was amazing. He got us to our location on time, and was kind the entire way. The shuttles picked all our guests up promptly later in the day, and got everyone to the after party safely and comfortably. Both shuttles seemed brand new and incredibly clean. I can't recommend Brooklyn Shuttle enough. If you have any doubts, don't. Just book them and you won't be sorry.
