We kept her home for a week, and her first day back she was bit by another classmate. Please read my full review. My daughter had been at Providence since she was 6 months old. It was the hardest decision I have ever made to decide who to trust my first born child to care for. In infant care, there was stability and regular teachers there, and it was great. When our daughter became a toddler (she is 2 now) there was a lot of instability in the teachers in the class and level of care. Our daughter was bit repeatedly. On one occassion, it drew blood and she had a scar. We also tried to give a margin of grace as things do happen and we were never irate or punishing, we just sought to come to a solution. Recently, an older kid dropped a piece of PVC pipe down the slide resulting in an open head wound on my 2-year-old. The staff did not transport her to the hospital despite acknowledging that "she probably needed stitches." Her father and I immediately take to the ER where she gets two staples in her head and we monitor her for signs of concussion. This happened on a Friday and the director and school officials never emailed, called, or checked on her. I had to seek out the daycare director, Lisa, on Monday to ask her what happened and what they were doing about it. A conversation I shouldn't have had to prompt in my opinion. At the time, I calmly talked to Lisa and she seemed apologetic and receptive of feedback, which made me feel like it was an honest mistake. We keep her home for a week until her staples were removed. Her first day back was today, and she got bit by another classmate. I go into the daycare admittedly livid, but this time the director just spouts off statistics says "these things happen" and she hasn't had a hospitalization incident in x amount of years and her record speaks for itself. She just told me how Providence is a top notch facility and everything else. She was very condescending. It became clear to me that they see kids here as statistics. I don't care if this was the first time a hospitalization incident has happened, as a parent, whose kid was hurt stats are not comforting. I removed her from Providence, and I won't be bringing her back. I care about protecting my kiddo and other parents being able to protect their kiddos, so I wanted to share my story.

I recall being loud and talkative in the past, but now I barely speak due to the way the teachers and several students treated me. The effects of that bullying still linger to this day. The bullies were once my friends, but they turned on me, and the teachers failed to intervene or hold them accountable. The group was led by one student whose parent worked at the school, creating a toxic environment where the teacher selectively disciplined the class. I was sent to the principal's office or the back of the room multiple times a day for things other students were doing without consequence. Notably, the teacher acted differently whenever another adult was in the classroom, showing she was aware her behavior was inappropriate. I attended this school for two years when I was 10 and 11; I am now about to turn 15, and hopefully, that puts into perspective how long this has affected me. This school silenced me. I was bullied almost every single day, and even after I left, some students continued the harassment. Another review mentions that the founder/principal knows everyone by name, but knowing a name is not the same as knowing a student's heart or ensuring their safety. Leadership failed to act when I was drowning in a toxic environment. I could say a lot more, but I've already given this school enough of my time and my silence. I am sharing this because I don't want anyone else to feel this way. Do not waste your money on this school; protect your child's mental health. The tuition does not provide safety in this 'Christian' environment."

I'm a foster parent and my kiddos started at Whiz Kidz a little over a month ago after attending a…read moresmaller, more expensive daycare. My children are not special needs but do sometimes require a little extra patience and understanding, something the old daycare never seemed to grasp. We moved to Whiz Kidz due to transportation issues for the older boys' elementary school. Whiz Kidz is more affordable (we no longer have a copay or extra balance after what the state covers for childcare) with the same if not better level of care. I say it might be better because all the teachers and the director are so sweet and understanding. They are engaging at pickup and dropoff, they learned my kids' names immediately, they recognize that sometimes kids from difficult backgrounds adapt and fit in at their own pace....I love it. They also followed up immediately when we noticed an odd bruise on one of our kids, whereas the other daycare (our only other childcare experience) doubted our story and never even told us what happened after their investigation. We only figured it out when they worked a lesson in bullying in on short notice in the middle of the week. Lastly, I'd just like to point out the excellent job the preschool area teachers are doing. Our kids love to learn, and the youngest has really been flourishing. Most of her previous curriculum seemed organized around art projects and playtime (with no clear educational goal.) She has made so much progress between daycare and home that a recent evaluation had her new psychologist thinking she was older than she was and that she'd been in our home much longer than she had been. She came home the other day talking about hexagons and octagons! And she's three! We love Whiz Kidz. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it can be a little noisy and chaotic, particularly in the school aged room after school. : )

Very responsive to messages on brightwheel. I also get THE CUTEST PHOTOS EVER, I literally look forward to them every day. They are always doing fun and educational activities, and I love to get artwork tucked into her backpack nearly weekly.
