I was completely shocked. Needless to say I told the team the representative never followed up with an estimate or called me. Very bad!

In particular, we had two large 50 foot trees on our property that were encroaching onto our roof, hanging over the neighbors' yards and pressing up against some power lines. Realizing that this was more than I could take on by myself, I began to look around for help. After soliciting some other bids, I gave Lumberjack Tree Services a call, and am glad I did. Andrew arrived at my house promptly for the free inspection. I pointed out to him that in addition to the two large trees, there were numerous smaller trees and shrubs that were in need of maintenence. Andrew admitted that this would be a large job, but instead of attempting to overcharge me for his services due to the scope of the work, the price he offered was less than I had expected to pay. His reasonable quote and can-do attitude was impressive, and so I hired him. Andrew and Lumberjack did not let us down during this very trying job. He and his team expertly took down the two large trees, both of which were quite challenging due to all the man-made obsticles in their path, in just a few days. Additionally, not only were the smaller trees and brush quickly addressed, but Andrew and his team meticulously raked our yard, hauled off some additional brush that we had cut down previously, removed some heavy stones that had been left behind by the old owners and even mowed our grass for us, leaving our yard looking pristine! They did not charge us a penny extra for any of this. Andrew told me numerous times that he believes that if a job needs to be done that it should be done the right way, and I applaud him for his effort in doing so. He is a man of his word, and he and his team truly delivered for us. I would not hesitate to recommend Lumberjack Tree Services to any home owner.

Based on a referral, I contracted Warrior Landscaping to do a small job. All I wanted them to do…read morewas remulch, install some edging, and trim a few trees and bushes. They estimated that it would take 2-3 days. It ended up taking over two months and cost about twice what they estimated. They underestimated the amount of materials (mulch and edging), as well as the labor. Granted, it rained a lot during the period of performance, but it still shouldn't have taken over two months! There was very little attention to detail (could be because the owner wasn't around because his wife was due to give birth). They left mulch directly on the lawn (not on a tarp) prior to transferring it to the beds. What resulted was a lot of mulch left on the grass which ended up killing portions of it. They were supposed to lay the fabric on the beds and then put the mulch on top. They evidently didn't have enough fabric, because there were a lot of gaps that allowed the weeds to poke through. I could have overlooked a lot of this, but about a month after they finished, I got a big surprise. I had been out of town and working odd hours, so I didn't pay much attention to my sprinkler system. One morning I noticed that one of the sprinkler heads was not working. I discovered that they had installed the edging directly on top of a sprinkler head - and that wasn't the only one. I had my sprinkler service company come out and check the entire system - there were several broken heads located next to the edging. The system had been serviced about a month before the landscaping, so the only plausible explanation was that they were broken during the landscaping job. I was still in for another surprise when I got my water bill. It was about $100 more than expected and then I received a notice from the water company that I might have a leak. I spoke with them and they said the high reading was probably attributable to the broken sprinkler heads. I contacted Warrior Landscaping to tell them about the broken sprinkler heads and the water issue. They apologized but said that I should have notifed them when I discovered the issue so they could have addressed and/or rectified the matter. Unfortunately, I didn't trust them to handle the matter quickly or resolve it to my satisfaction, so it ended up costing me more. I'm a military veteran and liked the fact that the company is veteran owned and operated. I really wanted to be happy with their work but, unfortunately, I cannot recommend them.

I had a massive job of removing over 300 pine trees, many of which were infested with pine bark beetle. I contacted five or six other companies for estimates, and every one of them planned to use heavy equipment that would have left deep ruts in the ground or large amounts of debris on the property. Nick took an entirely different approach--using low-impact methods that protected the landscape while still handling the sheer size of the project efficiently. Not only did he remove the trees, but he also hauled off every bit of wood chipping and infested material. He even went the extra mile by removing old stumps that had been left behind from the Black Forest fire. When the job was complete, my property was immaculate--better than I imagined possible given the scale of the work. Nick exceeded my expectations in every respect. His professionalism, attention to detail, and pride in his work really stand out. If you need tree removal services, especially for a large or difficult project, A Cut Above Tree Solutions is the company you want. I would not hesitate to hire Nick again and will recommend him to anyone who asks.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer that indicated horrible people skills and management. I…read morewould put it as lack of customer service and professionalism. We played phone tag with each other for more than a month to try to negotiate and quote what needed to be done. This was after my husband talked to the crew while they were working at a neighbor's. We advanced and had a plan. The last word we received in voicemail was that it would be about 2 weeks, as we were on a waiting list, and they would let us know when we were getting closer. Over a month later, while I was on a work call from home, I get a voicemail that they'll be there shortly. This was with no prior notice. I still hadn't heard the voicemail at the time when less than 15 minutes later, trucks and crew show up and start unloading equipment - right at naptime for my two littles. When I go out to let them know that we had no notice, that it was not a good time and my husband wasn't home, John was rude and argumentative. He said that he knew exactly what needed to be done and that most clients aren't home when they do their work. I let him know that is not how we would do business and we would find someone else to help us. They all left in a huff and sped out of our neighborhood. Oh, and I should note they showed up smoking on a windy and higher fire danger day - after John had said in voicemail that the two week (one month) wait was due in part to weather, as they couldn't work with high winds. I definitely don't recommend them.
