I highly recommend this little museum. They have exhibits on trains, history of the area, cloud formation, fire fighters, fish hatchery, water flow and more. you can touch and play with all the exhibits. my kids initially didn't want to go in, but we ended up spending 3hrs inside! And the volunteers are the sweetest people!!

We had a great time. There were 3 generations in our group and there was something for everyone. We stayed about 2 hours and we could easily return. The history in this area is both fascinating and disturbing with the displacement and mixers of the rightful land owners the indigenous people. There are many artifacts to give you reference points to life here previously. The woven baskets have to be seen to be belie. There are excellent exhibits on our current water challenges.

This is an interesting well maintained little museum. It covers a lot, from how Mount Shasta formed, to the native Americans who lived in the area, to the history of the city and more. Because of its small size it really doesn't take very long to go through, but it was both educational and interesting. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area, and have interest in the area's history and or Mount Shasta.

What a wonderful place to spend a few hours. Very kid friendly, air conditioned and lots of interactive things to do for adults and kids. My 4 year old loved it!

The museum was a great addition to our vacation. The curators were very knowledgeable and the hatchery was interesting

It's a relatively small space that consists of 2 large gallery spaces, plus a little bit within the entrance area, and all situated within SOU's Art School campus. There's some nice less formal displays within those buildings as well. A voluntary donation of $5 is requested at a "free will" box at the entrance to the museum. We happened upon the "Fighting Men: Golub, Voulkos, Kirby" Exhibition. Most interesting were the various comic book displays by Jack Kirby and Leon Golub's cautionary paintings that depict the violence stemming from political power gone awry. Bridging this gap are Peter Voulkos' powerful ceramic pieces. You can easily (and slowly) spend up to ~30 minutes here. I would also recommend entering and leaving the Museum on the University side, just so you can enjoy wandering around this pretty campus.

It's a great stop and it doesn't matter what time of the year you visit Ashland. It is especially great on a day when it is 100 degrees F. It will definitely not break your budget to cool down while looking at some cool art because admission is free. We enjoyed looking at and comparing how each artist has their own style and that was so great for kids to understand that it's important to be yourself and that it's great that no two people or artists are the same. We came in the summer so it was very empty and parking was easy to find. I'm not sure how it is when it's school season.

Children's Museums have become popular stopping point and we were very excited to find out that there was one in Klamath Falls. While this place isn't much to look at on the outside, inside are some great exhibuts, an area for young kiddos and plenty of stuff to stimulate curiosity while also burning off some energy! The place is located in an older part of town in what we found out was an old Dental Building. The place was donated about 15 years ago and they've been making continual improvements to it ever since. Upon walking in you're greeted by one of the employees at the counter. It was $5 per person to get in and that included access to everything that was available there. As well as tea and coffee Upstairs! The membership price was something like $10 per month for a family membership and $100 per month for a corporate membership. If we lived here this would be a go-to place! Downstairs just across from the entrance is an area for toddlers with a couple couches for moms needing to rest with little ones. Upstairs there are a ton of great exhibits for kids ages 2+. The exhibits included a decomissioned airplane that had been donated by a local gentleman, a great wooden fire truck that the kids could climb on that had working lights and sirens, a play town with rooms dedicated to a grocery store, a doctor's office, a hair salon at a dentist office. These were all a lot of fun and had phones that worked to call the other rooms - big news for 2 and 4 year olds! One of the more unique things they had here was a shadow room, with a phosphorescent wall that the kids could pose in front of and then the shadow was captured on it. One of the more creative things we've seen at a children's museum and it made for a very good time for everyone involved! Our favorite thing here though was the wall with the magnetic ramps and blower. All the pieces were set up to complete a circuit that then allowed a ping pong ball to go from one end to the other. Most of these that we've seen other places involve clear pipes and puff balls, but this one actually allowed the kids to change out pieces. It was pretty simple and really, really cool. The places mentioned we're definitely the highlights, and there were plenty of other areas 2 explore including one with model trains and another with a bunch of musical instruments. The folks here have done a pretty amazing job of setting up a really neat children's museum in a pretty small space. The space is utilized really well, and the folks that work here were very nice, interactive and helpful to all the kids. This is definitely a place that should be utilized by folks in town and anyone passing through!
