He accommodated all of our requests and treated our family with dignity and respect throughout the entire process. In such a difficult time, he truly made things easier for us. Ringa has been a longtime neighbor to our family in Long Lake, but I have no doubt they provide the same level of care and professionalism to every family they serve. Highly recommend without hesitation.

There are so many moving pieces and details that need to be coordinated in a very short amount of time and Andrew handled everything with exceptional class and care. He was also a few steps ahead of us at all times, anticipating our needs. When the pastor did not come to the cemetery with us, and we were left without a final reading before laying our loved one to rest, Andrew stepped in seamlessly. He had already chosen a reading based on a meeting he had with our loved one before she passed. His choice was perfect and deeply meaningful. Additionally, her hair and makeup were done in a very natural way that captured her essence, bringing comfort to our family. Ringa went way above and beyond by accommodating our loved one's last wishes and it made the farewell special and memorable for our family. It was truly a privilege working with Andrew and his Team.

Strang Funeral Home

Seems strange to be writing a yelp review for a funeral home but here we are. Strang in Antioch…read moreexceeded all of our expectations during the worst moment of our lives losing my Grandmother and during a pandemic. Funeral director David Moore, his father, Bethany and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing. My grandmother had indicated Strang in Antioch is where she liked for her eventual service. My grandmother was on hospice and we went to confirm we liked Strang in Antioch and upon seeing the entire place and sitting down with David, we knew this was the right place to have her service. David was compassionate and easy going and understanding and made the entire process as easy as it could be considering the circumstances. The night my grandmother passed, Bethany and another gentleman arrived at our home to gather my grandmother and take her to the funeral home and they were so nice and patient and respectful with us and my grandma. All the planning was easy with David from their beautiful casket selection to the prayer cards and obituary and handling life insurance to the day of planning. The day of the service although limited to immediate family due to covid-19, we felt comfortable and taken care of at Strang. My grandmother did not look very good when she passed and they did an amazing job with ho they prepared her and reversed some of the appearance changes brought on from the dying process. She looked beautiful. Granted, people never look exactly like they did but they definitely did the best job I've ever seen. They were relaxed and understanding and never made us feel rushed with her service and even at the cemetery when things didn't go as planned because of the excessive amount of water from the previous days bad weather and a mock setup for the burial had to happen beyond David's control, was still made to be made the best of the situation. My whole family was so happy with this funeral home and David and his staff and any of our family that ever may pass in the very distant future would use this funeral home. Their pricing was also very reasonable. Highly recommend this funeral home should you ever find needing their services. Thank you to David and staff at Antioch Strang!

Strang Funeral Home - Antioch, IL…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. My family just experienced the worst possible treatment from this funeral home during one of the most devastating nights of our lives. When my wife's father passed away, Strang Funeral Home was contacted. Instead of compassion, respect, or professionalism, the director, David, spoke to my wife in an unprofessional, condescending, and extremely insensitive manner. Not to mention he sounded extremely drunk and calling her back multiple times just to be an asshole. Rather than offering comfort or guidance, he insulted the other crematory we had chosen, belittled their services, and made unnecessary, arrogant remarks that no grieving family should ever have to hear. He came across as careless, dismissive, and completely lacking in compassion at a time when compassion matters most. No family should have to endure this kind of treatment in their most vulnerable moments. Funerals are about dignity, respect, and care for both the deceased and their loved ones. Strang Funeral Home, and David in particular, demonstrated none of these values. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a funeral home to look elsewhere. There are plenty of professionals in this industry who understand empathy and compassion. Sadly, Strang Funeral Home is not one of them.

Cathy is the owner and Carol is her right hand woman/manager. Like alot of us, we're not prepared for the end of our life or our loved ones. You might feel lost, confused and even befuddled. Cathy and Carol will 100% guide you properly and patiently. Saying "goodbye" to a loved one who's passed, is one of the hardest things humans have to go thru. Im still healing from the loss of my grandfather. It's been almost a year since l've been here and this is a long overdue review. One of the downfalls of loving someone so much is when they leave us, it's so much more painful and heartbreaking. Grief is love with nowhere to go. Drowning is an art of learning how to survive, be it in water or emotions. Northern Illinois Funeral Services helps you start the healing process. That's extremely invaluable for me. They say you get what you pay for, but here, they go above and beyond what's expected. Grateful for the two earth angels at Northern Illinois Funeral Service
