I worked the phones and found these folks and they figured out the insurance side and part number in short order. They booked a same day slot and finished the work almost as soon as my Uber got me home. It was a giant pain in the ass to take a personal day to deal with this mess and Mt. I was not optimistic after what I had been through already. Unfortunately, the windshield was not correct (3 strikes for me searching). However!...instead of telling me sorry, we can't help you, 4 of their employees worked together to find me a windshield. They spent time to make it right for me. My car had been broken into. Smashed my front passenger window. I stopped by and they immediately came to my aid. They had to order the glass and told me two -five days. Two days later they called me and said my glass was here. I went after work and in less than 30 minutes my window was fixed and they vacuumed the broken glass out of the car. They got the job done, but quite unprofessional service. Got a quote, left car at the shop and was told it would be done the next day. Well, after the shop ordered the wrong window AND another window broke on transit, my window fix was delayed several more days. I told them it was a two door car, and they ordered the 4 door window. When I asked for a discount, Russell became defensive and angry, explaining I should be grateful for them getting it done on a Friday afternoon. No smile, no remorse, only defense mechanisms. Quite hurtful, it was an honest question, as the car should have been done several days earlier. Would be a 5 star review with a simple apology, not some egotistical response for your own wrongdoings. Don't expect any compassion with their customer service. read more

I was a bit apprensive of getting anything done at 1st - but these folks came and picked my van up - wore gloves and mask and covered steering wheel for some protections. Highly recommended. After my back windshield was smashed in late Friday afternoon, my insurance called around to multiple shops. GREAT ETHICS at this place, I highly recommend them!! I called in and they told me that I could come in at quarter of the hour and get windshield chips repaired while I wait. I thought what a cool concept. Didn't really pan out tho- - it only works when you are the ONLY one who dropped in at that particular quarter of the hour. So they told me to swing back in an hour. There's plenty of shopping nearby so I did. The tech was busy servicing another vehicle but still came out and I showed him my RAV sporting a single rock impact with twin 1/8" cracks. He ran his finger across it and shocked the crap out of me when he said that the crack had already been repaired. (I'm the 3rd owner of the vehicle, but I had never noticed it!) he looked at some other 'hen peck' marks from smaller pebbles but since they hadn't cracked the underlying glass there wasn't a problem. I left, but before I did I assured him that with all the construction trucks and 18 wheelers slinging rocks on the highways, I would be back, probably more sooner than later. I'm half tempted to shop my windshield around at other shops and see how many of them want to take my money for a job that doesn't need to be done. read more

Don't use them! When they replaced 8 large floor-to-ceiling windows at our office, they decided not to replace the old rubber seals. So imagine, brand new windows, 10+year old rubber seals. Very unprofessional and dishonest! Needless to say within a year, we had leaks, they came by and rather that apologize or just replace the seals and caulked the area, which is minimal cost and time, they blamed it on our contractor. Very unprofessional and dishonest! Of course, we're having to have our contractor clean-up their mess. They refuse to admit it is their fault, and just simply replace the rubber seals and in areas where it has eroded, where they clearly didn't even seal in the first place. Unbelievable! Unprofessional and dishonest! I strongly advise against using them! They are very unprofessional and dishonest! read more

I had one of my back windows completely smashed out on a Friday night. On Saturday, I tried to schedule an appointment with a large, well-known glass company (you know the jingle) only to find out they wouldn't be able to fit me in for a month! Make that 2-2.5 months if I wanted to take advantage of their mobile service. Who can drive around for that long without a window?! So I called Mt Hood Glass on Monday - "we could come out today." Wait, what? I ended up scheduling an appointment for the next day, their quote was exactly what I was charged, they vacuumed most of the glass out of my back seat and they were done in about a half an hour. They were wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to call on them again. read more

I waited almost a month for Gerber glass to get my windshield in, every time I called them they said they'd call me back and never once did. When I called them, they were mad I was following up. Another company said they couldn't even order glass for me. Finally, I saw this company online and figured it couldn't hurt to try them out. Needless to say they called me not even 24 hours later with my windshield asking me when I can come in to get it replaced. I will never go anywhere but here ever again! We hear today about how there is so much wrong with everything, but there is so much right with one thing; Mt. Hood Glass. Had a gnarly crack in my windshield, I was referred to MHG by my insurance agent (remember those?). I scheduled my appt. for 7am. When I arrived, the receptionist confirmed my appt. The technition took my car keys got to work right away. Literally within 35 minutes was finished! Paid the invoice (lowest bid out of 6 gotten; $225!) No surprises. Boom done. Expediant, professional and courteous. I wanted to wait until it rained to check the seal on the windshield for leakage before writing a review but no leaks, nothing. Tight and right! Of course everyone's experience is different, but speaking for myself, my experience with MHG was very positive. Should the situation call for it, I will go back and refer them to others, the ultimate goal of any business, the repeat customer! 5 stars. read more

I took my wife car to get a new windshield. Initially everything was great, it looked good, and the service was fast. While driving on the road the rubber trim around the windshield flew off, luckily I was able to grab it before it flew away. I called in, and made an appointment to have it repaired. The initial repair job consisted of black adhesive to secure the trim to the vehicle, it had blue painters tape holding it on, I was instructed to remove it once the adhesive cured, in a few hours. I removed it that evening and was less than impressed with the repair. There was adhesive visible in a few spots, and it just didn't look like a professional job. This is my wife's car, just a plain minivan, nothing fancy, but still, I expected a good clean job. We called in, told the shop that we were not pleased with the repair, and to their credit, they did say to bring it back. A second, new windshield was installed. I wish I could say this was the end, and everything was fine. But it isn't. The rubber gasket does not form a neat seal at the corners of the window (top of the windshield), I even went back and asked about it, and was told since it is an aftermarket part, the quality will vary, and this is what it is. I decided not to make a big deal about it at that point. Then, a few nights ago my wife told me her windshield wipers were not working. I went out to have a look, and after checking a few things, I noticed the nuts holding the wiper arms in place were barely finger tight. I removed the wiper arms and found the insides had been stripped, because they were not tightened down properly, and I also found that the small caps that cover the screws (that hold the trim in place) looked like they were pried off with a screw driver, instead of the proper tool. So, now I have windshield, that while functional, has the ill fitting seal on the outer top corners, screw caps that are scratched and damaged, and 2 stripped windshield wiper arms. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt with the wonky seal, but add in the other things that were damaged and I can only say that this was a truly disappointing experience. I hope the people that run the shop take a moment to review this comment, and discuss it with their employees. This may not have been a high end vehicle that you were working on, but you should still respect peoples property. read more

Had my window replaced due to another crack in the windshield. I was informed and shown by this technician that the last company ( Mt. Hood Glass) to replace my windshield did an awful job. There is rust now on my truck due to Mt. Hood technician unable to properly seal the windshield. There was a lack in customer friendly service when I was there. Terrible place to get your vehicle serviced. I am appalled at company's lack of attention to detail. read more
