I enrolled in a review center the summer before my Senior year in High School because I was scared of college admission tests. The schedule I chose was two weekday afternoons, and a whole day Saturday class. I found myself becoming lazier and lazier halfway through the review sessions, but the classes were informative and helpful. I feel demotivated sometimes when I score low on check-up quizzes, but I'm thinking it's normal to feel dumb at review centers.
I love the facility, actually. It's clean and chilly, and they supply you with booklets to help you throughout your review. It's also within proximity to restaurants and a Ministop.
They also make you take an exam at the end, and the results are given to you maybe weeks after.
The teachers though aren't so amiable and approachable. They can be quite intimidating and demotivating.
They say review centers don't help, but I think it helped me somewhat. I was able to refresh my memory of old science topics, afterall! read more
