Integrative Veterinary Hospital - one of our client getting laser treatment

    Integrative Veterinary Hospital

My 9 year old female Cane Corso was experiencing major joint issues that caused her mobility to…read morealmost fully shut down. My dog was not mobile without the help of pain killers. Since my dog is 9 years old, surgery is really not an option. My vet suggested acupuncture. Since I never had acupuncture or knew anyone who had acupuncture, I was not sure this was going to work. However, I was desperate and wanted to bring relief to my little fur baby so I was willing to try anything. After googling, I discovered Integrative Vet Hospital. I selected this location solely due on the location and pricing and nothing more. My first appointment was with Dr. Lucas who preformed laser on her joints as my sweet girl had a skin infection. We repeated the laser again the following week. Surprisingly, the laser did appear to give her relief as she was walking around more and being her old sassy self but I could tell that she was still uncomfortable but could cope with the pain a little more. On week 3, (Thursday) she had her acupuncture. The following 3 days it appeared that this did not help at all and I thought I had bought into something that wasn't going to work. About the 5th day, I noticed her moving around alot more and looking more comfortable. I then realized later in the day that I had forgot to give her another pain pill and could not believe she was so comfortable with any meds. On week 4, (Friday), her 2nd acupuncture, WOW! She is going up the stairs alot faster, her pain meds are now reduced to 2x per day when previously they were 3x per day. We see Dr. Lucas who is amazing! My girl, Bella, is one of those dogs who cannot wait to enter into the office so she can see everyone. Bella loves the staff and she LOVES Dr. Lucas. Dr. Lucas actually gets on the floor to say hello to her. I can truly tell Dr. Lucas loves animals as he has an energy that my sweet old girl loves. I truly recommend this vet. They can typically get you in super fast and their rates are reasonable. Plus, if you see Dr. Lucas you are so lucky as he is incredible. Highly recommend them for regular care and for laser and acupuncture.

Wonderful with my dog they showed no judgement for his reactive behavior and by time we left he was best friends with the whole office staff. The Dr Jace listened to all my concerns and was willing to do what was best for my pup. Prices were great. I've been to veterinarians all over town and this will be our new office.

I really appreciated how much time she took to carefully clean his eye and make sure everything looked good instead of rushing through the appointment. You can truly tell she cares deeply about animals and their comfort. She was also very honest, compassionate, and explained everything in a way that made me feel reassured and informed. It's hard to find a vet you genuinely trust with your pet and I absolutely trust Dr. Miller with Sunset's care. I'm so grateful for her kindness and dedication. Highly recommend!

I brought my dog, Scarlet, to West Flamingo Animal Hospital for a nail trim on Dec 20 and…read morespecifically requested Stephanie, who has been trimming Scarlet's nails for more than two years and is someone we trust. Despite this request, someone else took my dog to the back. I asked for Stephanie and she assured me that Stephanie was in the back and that she was just there to assist. While Scarlet was in the back, I could hear her crying. When she was brought out, I saw that her nails had been clipped and were bleeding, which was very upsetting. When I calmly asked for clarification or simply the opportunity to speak with Stephanie. Stacie, the receptionist, gave me the run around that Stephanie was too busy to come out and talk to me. She told me to just leave a note for her or call management. I said that I would wait no matter how long it will take. A few minutes passed and Stacie told me that Stephanie refused to talk to me regarding Scarlet and she doesn't want to be requested to always take Scarlet back since they have other technicians who could. If that was the case, I could've ask for another person that Scarlet was familiar with. Given that Stephanie has worked with Scarlet for years, this response made no sense and felt intentionally deflective. If Stephanie was present, I strongly believe she would have been willing to speak with me, especially under these circumstances. Being denied a basic conversation after a pet was injured is unacceptable, and front desk staff should not act as a barrier when a client is seeking answers. I do want to note that Dr. Ghuman is an excellent doctor, and we truly trust and appreciate her. Our issue is not with her or the other receptionist that works there, Julieann and Elisha are awesome, but with Stacie and how Stacie handled this situation, which showed a lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic customer care. I strongly encourage management to review front desk protocols, communication standards, and how client concerns are escalated, so situations like this are handled appropriately in the future. I'm sharing this so other pet owners are aware and can make informed decisions about who is handling their pet and how concerns are addressed at this facility.
