We switched to TOK because of a biting issue @ another daycare. From the time we contacted the center and let them know the situation, everyone was upfront and honest and let us know that children (some but not all) under the age of 2 tend have a tendency to bite other children, but they do everything possible to prevent these incidents from happening. We joined the TOK family in May of 2015 with enrolling our then 21 month old. From the beginning the staff was all very welcoming and friendly. We, of course, were nervous to leave her because of past experiences with other facilities. We were given numbers to call and to speak to the teacher directly to check on her @ any point of the day. Which of course we called for the first few days and each time we were able to speak with her teacher, in the classroom and get realtime updates. After the first week no more calls were needed. We felt comfortable enough that we were part of the family and they would take care of her like we would @ home. After our first month we decided to switch our 3 year old to TOK and make her an official part of the TOK family also. We love and appreciate this extended family. They are all generous women who clearly love what they do and it shows. I wish I would have chosen them from the beginning with our 2 older girls. If you are looking for a family (not just a daycare) that you can trust to take care of your child(ren) TOK is most definitely the place for you.

I stood around waiting to start signing up for a membership and it took 10 minutes for someone to actually get to the front desk! I'm very upset by the amount of times I have seen dogs in the building without service animals vests, it's sad to see a place I value doesn't value everyone like they say! My sister has a service animals and I don't feel safe having her come to the ymca knowing they allow other aggressive dogs in the building without service animals no issues. And frankly I've left 3 voicemails trying to contact a supervisor and have yet to hear back from them.
