Let's start with the fact Ms Beasley is the most humble and sweetest lady I've come across in a while. She's so sincere about honestly just wanting everyone to eat better and be as healthy as possible. You can taste the love in her meals. Now to the meat of the review. Or should I say the lack there of. She doesn't serve any meat. That alone had me almost running to her truck for seconds. (Yes, I literally went back and ordered another meal after I finished my first to save for dinner that evening.) I stood there in shock when viewed the menu for the first time. I texted my partner in excitement that I found another food truck I could obsess over. I finally decided on the veggie burger plate. It came with a side salad and sweet potato/ quinoa chips. I sat there in my car and figured I better get something for dinner too because I hadn't seen her out there regularly and I didn't know when she would be back. For my "dinner" I ordered the quinoa bowl. It was just as amazing as the burger. I'm not sure how she does it but if you are a regular to the black bean patty life you know all too well how good burgers are hard to come by. She has it figured out though. It wasn't over cooked and she used hummus as the condiment on her thin bun. The quinoa was also perfectly prepared. I can't compare it to any other dish I've ever had. She mixed all the right ingredients to create her art. Another visits I also had the kale smoothie. It was just like you were making a smoothie at home. No crazy fillers or grainy stuff like you would find in commercial smoothies. I would highly recommend her food truck to anyone. Regardless of if you are an omnivore or herbivore. Check her out!

Calling all Vegans and Vegetarians finally a food truck for us! Well I'm a pescatarian but we all fam. Ms. Beasley will even turn some of you meat eaters into believers. Do not pass this truck up. Even if you don't get food grab a smoothie they're amazing. Today I had a black bean burger so good that when I offered my partner a second bite I almost lost my thumb. Her food is so well seasoned. Which lets just be honest can be confused with salty a lot in New Orleans. However that's not the chase with her. She going for getting the good stuff in you. One thing I loved in addition to the actual burger is the garden fresh sides. Literally garden fresh from her garden!

Kale Salad with yam pie- that poppyseed dressing is so good!

Love Ms. Beasley as much as I love the food!! She is always exceedingly kind and friendly, happy to talk about her menu items and recipes, and if you're lucky she'll stash a few freebies in your order too. Her veggie burger with hummus and avocado on that little wheat bun may not look like much, but it's fantastic and flavorful. She also does this sweet poppyseed dressing for her salads that is to die for. The food is healthy and flavorful, and the portions are generous. The shakes are a little pricey, but they're very refreshing and delicious- the kale smoothie tastes like a green piña colada. I can definitely see why Ellen Degeneres gave Ms. Beasley her stamp of approval!

The mighty plate and the veggie burger are both delicious! Highly recommend Ms Beasleys. In a place with so many unhealthy options her choices are amazingly nutritious and yummy!

Kale salad looks very similar to the Costco premade salad...

I love the idea of a healthy, vegetarian food truck in New Orleans, however, I was extremely disappointed when I came here for lunch. I ordered the kale salad with Brussels sprouts and pumpkin seeds described enthusiastically by the owner. I was incredibly surprised when I opened my styrofoam container to find that I had just paid $8 for my favorite premade salad from costco. I showed my friends and without even telling them my own conclusion they commented that it looked just like the premade Costco salad. My friend ordered a quesadilla, which she said tasted good but the texture was very runny inside the tortilla. After seeing the other positive experiences listed on Yelp, I believe the other items may be worth trying, but I would steer any friend away from the 'homemade' kale salad and tell them to just go to Costco for a better price on the same meal.

The coolest way to get a slider in NOLA!…read more Streetcars are part of the history and essence of New Orleans. Not only are they a great way to get around, they are also a great way apparently to get a meal. Yes, its actually a truck of some sort that has been converted to a street car. But they serve delightful small portions like cheese fries, donuts, and sliders. It can be difficult to find this little rolling food delivery system. There is no fixed location. So don't trust the location indicated on any static page online. They move around. Customer service is always fantastic. Food is always great. What more could you want??

Yes this business is a spin-off/branch/non-profit venture from the District Donuts folks. And it is…read morea non-profit: http://www.districtstreetcar.com/about The Streatcar (that purposeful typo is hard to type) was near my work today so I my coworker and scarfed down some tasty treats. I had the tofu slider and she had the cheeseburger & fries (waffle style!). The service was fast and my tofu slider was delicious...check my photo. My coworker's waffle fries were super tasty and well-fried because you know I had to help her with those. She said her burger was super tasty but was perhaps a little pink for her. And, of course, I had to get a cinnamon sugar donut which is yummy. The streetcar is the sort that I remember as a tourist conveyance in the 80s so it's cool to see that style back on the street.

Saigon Slim's food truck brethren should take note of what SS is doing…read more Low carb and salad offerings are not common amongst the area food truck scene and SS hits it out of the park. Damn, this place was good…read more Yelp reviewers were showing love for this place, and I was starving after cramming for an Accounting final last night. I checked out the NOLA Food Truck app (if you don't have this app already, get it!) and this place popped as being parked at Kingpin, which I honestly never knew existed even though I'm in this area all the time. Damn, NOLA's got a lot of hidden bars. Anyways, $11 for a bahn mi seemed a little ridiculous, but I got one of their signatures: the Pig Shrimpin, which has pulled pork and shrimp along with all the standard bahn mi stuff. Y'all, this was amazing and hit the spot after a long day of studying. The pork had the most perfect flavor, it wasn't too sweet and had a kick but not too much of one. The shrimp were nicely sized and plentiful. Whatever sauce they used was awesome as well, I'm not a fan of overly saucy bahn mi's where the bread gets soggy and they nailed it here. I also got a side of kimchi; I was gonna get it on the sandwich but the girl who took my order advised me to get it on the side. It doesn't look like much in the picture but it was awesome and packed some serious heat. Nothing is worse than weak kimchi and they got it spot on. They're often parked near Ms. Maes as well which definitely helps elevate the awesomeness. Definitely a standout in the NOLA food truck scene.
