The shower is okay. Hard to clean. But my big complaint the 2 day guarantee…read more The project will not take more than 2 days....it took them a week for mine. Not the installers fault it was the project managers fault. That guarantee was promised and again not followed thru with. So all is not as it seems with 5 star. I give them a 2 star. My fault for believing what they said. Bottom line, I believe I could have done the job at 25% of the price. Just hope there's no need for me to need the lifetime guarantee. I'm not confident that's valid either. Good luck you're going to need it. Adam Hollister Carleton MI

We had a great experience with this company…read more Our master closet,(before kitchen and bath company), was literally just a pole hanging on each side of the closet space. We decided to reached out to K&B for some closet organization. Eric was the one in charge of our project and he did everything from the quote to final install. We were very happy with the planning, design, communication, and install that Eric with K&B was able to provide for us. He was prompt with replys, clear when communicating, and thural when installing. I do not see us going anywhere else for future projects.

He took the time to understand the space available, as well as what our desires were for a new design. Clark spent time developing our ideas, merging them with his own, and ended up designing the perfect kitchen for us. The cabinets are high quality, the fit and finish is superb, and the communication was exceptional. I would recommend this company (and Clark Anliker) unreservedly.

Before there was a Wiliams Sonoma store in the state of Iowa Cooks Emporium has been selling high-quality cooking gear and offering classes in downtown Ames. While the location isn't huge you'll find the well-established brands (All-Clad, Le Creuset, Wusthof) that you trust right here. As someone who enjoys cooking, I can spend a lot of time browsing in here for kitchen gadgets. I do the majority of my business here around the holidays and they do a really nice job of wrapping gifts. They are very helpful in answering questions and guiding you toward the right purchase for your task or gift idea. As I write this review I can see many items that we've purchased from the Cooks Emporium. They are local, offer high-quality merchandise, and offer competitive prices on par with even online-retailers.

I love this store, but the employees are hit and miss…read more I am heavily tattooed (at least for Ames, Iowa) and sometimes there is a lady that is just rude and doesn't help me. I can tell it's because I'm young and tattooed by the look on the lady's face. Good thing she doesn't work on commission. If only she knew I graduated from culinary school four years ago and have been baking professionally since then, including wedding cakes. I'm not just some punk kid who can't afford your over-priced stuff. I usually buy my stuff on the internet - so much cheaper. But I love looking here and it's great for small buys (rubber scrapers) and "crap I need this right now and no one else in town is going to have it" impulse buys (mandoline). Great for seeing an item in person so you know what you want to order online.

Don't let the name limit you -- WoodHarbor Kitchen & Bath does whole house remodels. We worked…read morewith owners Cheryl and Greg Arganbright on an extensive remodel of a house in Windsor Heights, and the construction was done while we were living in California. It worked beautifully, because everyone at the company does high quality work, and the Arganbrights have great integrity and years of experience. They write very detailed construction proposals, with each element priced out, so there are no hidden costs or surprises. (Their prices are more than fair, by the way.) They sent photos and kept in regular phone and email contact, so we completely felt in the loop while work was being done. The Iowa-made WoodHarbor cabinets they feature are high quality, and the Arganbrights have good relationships with suppliers such as Cambria (quartz countertops) that result in savings to the homeowner. When we arrived from CA, the house was very thoroughly cleaned, all appliances checked and it was ready for move in. We recommend WoodHarbor highly. Remodeling and construction are usually stress-filled endeavors, but not so this time. We would work with the Arganbrights again, happily.
