We focused on organizing some core areas organized so I could start settling in! We did several follow up sections focusing on the kitchen, medicine cabinet, scary downstairs storage area, and garage. Sam can work mostly independently which is great if you are juggling work at the same time and can only pop in occasionally to edit piles for donation or keep. Just being in her presence inspired me to purge! Not only does she leave you with a practical and organized space, she takes your donations so they don't sit stashed away for weeks until you get the time or motivation to take them yourself. The I presume owner greeted us and struck up a conversation and I had mentioned we basically were in town to try the new-ish soft serve ice cream food truck that has opened. She said we made a great decision. She had asked where we were from and some questions. Honestly she nailed it on the head for being so welcoming and friendly. It's that extra thing that will make you remember a place even more! This is a place that has a great variety of items that just about everyone could find something that appreciate or want. Plenty of beautiful pieces of art, home goods, and even some food/chocolates. Some particular favorites my wife and I enjoyed seeing were the moose painting, a beautiful coffee table with a painting of a boat. Also if you are in search of any type of handle for drawers or anything related this would be your local spot to check out. A kind of back room had about an endless amount of variety of handles available. While we did not buy anything this visit, I will remember this shop. An absolute wonderful example of customer service to make you feel welcome even if you are visiting from afar. I had second thoughts, not sure about her talents, skill set, whether I needed someone to help me pack up all our personal items, it just seemed " too personal", but sprang for the decision after injuring my foot. This was the best decision I could have made. Not only did she help me pack, carry, make boxes, sort, organize, and help me decide what to take, and how to store it, make multiple trips to the storage unit and thrift shop,she literally took charge of the entire move with the movers! She then came and stayed with us in the new home to help organize, sort, lessen the burden, see clearly, and get boxes unpacked. Deidra was our angel. She swooped in, fixed and guided, what could have been an unfortunate, ugly shituation. Two days turned into 8. I am having her back in a few weeks for round two, because I'm still deciding what stays , what goes, organizing, and finding homes for all our things in the new home. Deidra is a magical house elf! Now looking forward I see how lucky we were!! Keep reading. After that it was quite difficult to get in her schedule for a regular bimonthly cleaning. She wouldn't pick up the phone or answer to texts for two weeks or so. When she finally did, she explained that she had had some health issues. The day she was supposed to finally start, she didn't come as she had committed too, only her other employee who was 1 hour late and left half way due to a personal emergency. We were expecting an apology and being communicated when the work would be resumed and finished, but we instead received an invoice. I finally learnt she had more health issues after ME contacting HER via text. I just wish she would have been more communicative upfront so we could plan around. She finally canceled the invoice.
