I was not particularly interested in their more traditional kitchens and furniture, what caught my eye was these amazing hand made sculptures/ functional furniture pieces they have on the window display. From far away one of them is a wooden sac perfectly sculpted with a rope tied around the top, when you come closer it is a chest of drawers, nine drawers to be exact. Designers always manage to amaze me when they can create something that is not only functional but it is also aesthetically beautiful.

But a beautiful furniture shop at that. On countless occasions I have fallen in love with an unusual ceramic chandelier or a hide covered chest. I cannot tell you what their interior design services are like, but if the shop is anything to go by, expect exquisite taste and quality but to pay the price.

We got good discounts (20-25%) for larger quantities and always a very helpful service. Definitely a place to go if you need lighting for decorating a room or for a full flat/house renovation.

With a little bit of money, I could go wild in here and come back with a copper owl statue (40 pounds), a few angels, and a marble column. Also, there is an amazing deal on the basic value lamp - the kind that stands vertical and has a frosted cone shape with lightbulb at the top - less than £6 will get you this lamp, and you can even choose from black, red, or chrome finish for the base part. I was really pleased as this helped me bring light into my new room and didn't break my bank as some lamps will do. Of course there is a huge selection of lamps so you can pay more if you like, but the basic value lamp is working great for me. I also got an £20 Studio Desk lamp in black, which is cute. They have all the lightbulbs you'll need as well, including eco varieties.

Its a jungle in there. The furniture is built up in the countryside and then sold in London. The services have been featured on a number of occassions in the top design magazines. However they do not provide a transport facility, though they can put you in touch with someone who does the job. Very friendly staff and its not such a busy place. Which I think is good; I'm not so sure if the owners feel the same!

I found a treasure house of antique furniture inside. There seemed to be countless mirrors in ornate settings in various parts of a maze comprised of any and all sorts of antique furniture. I was really impressed by some of the bath units, with marble and bronze fittings and set in a carved wooden unit. There were some complete sets, lovely dressing tables and bedside units with wooden panels of carved motifs. Also some very modern looking bookshelf units and a large bright pink display unit (that had already sold!!!). Its a fun place to shop for some classic and quality furniture for your house. The people here are happy to help as well if you need help in choosing the right pieces to go with your interiors.
