I'm no sash expert but it looks good to me!…read more They guys were on time (15 mins early in fact) and were fun, pleasant people to have in the house. It's double glazed and they also used some special filler round the edge (apparently more rogue builders just use concrete which isn't as good) so now it lasts longer and keeps in warmth/dry (Again I'm no expert!) Apart from a few scuffs on wall and ceiling (but nothing major) and he did drop a smidge of paint on the carpet, it looks like a very good job!!really pleased.

After noting them down I checked them online and emailed them some images of the windows we needed replacing. I received a quote a few days later. I had a few questions and wanted to see some examples so I was invited to have look around their workshop in Leyton. I was very impressed and after a few tweaks to the design of the windows and french doors the order was placed. There was an onsite measure and we had an issue - we had a built in cabinet that could be a potential problem for the installation. I contacted the carpenter who made it and he assured me that he made it with replacing the window in mind. After assuring Ward we would take responsibility for any damage that occurred to the cabinet during the job we went ahead with the order. 6 weeks later I get a call and were good to go for installation. The chaps that came over were very polite and very considerate with working tidily. Apart from making a few cups of tea and occasional nail gun action I barely noticed them beavering away. After 8 hours of hard graft the job was done and we have fantastic french doors at the back of the house and we've had the glazing replaced around our front door. It's been a real pleasure dealing with a local company and we will definitely recommend them and use them again!

Everyone needs a good handyman…read more And my fleet of "green" handymen ride bikes. And park them in Hoxton Square. And are great. We walk our dog often around Hoxton Square and see these bikes parked all about: "Green Workforce!" Sounds good to me, so I rang up and made an appointment. Easy to schedule, and they've been on time for both slots we've had. So far, we've had the following projects completed: *Hung shelves in our kitchen with brackets (and this is a VERY sloped room!) *Extended our shower hose and mounted a plant for it to the wall so that it can actually serve as a shower, and not a poorly-designed bathing situation for any plausible human. *Bits and bobs: tightened doorknobs, sealed doors and windows. The rates are hourly, but reasonable. Cash preferred upon completion. We've had two different guys out, and both were very friendly and professional. We call them now for anything we might need! Nice to have them as a resource for all those home projects you either can't get to, or shouldn't do yourself!

They were contracted to replace a door handle and a tap, simple jobs. Very clear instructions were given in writing via email and also on the phone. Unfortunately the tap they fitted was loose and a completely inappropriate handle was fitted, despite detailed conversation about what would be correct. One could see this as an honest mistake had they not try to get me to pay to make the poor job good! I ended up replacing the door handle myself to a good standard but the tap botch seems so bad that a new unit will have to be fitted. So be warned even if you are clear as crystal and have everything in writing you still may be expected to pay for bad work to be made good.
