OK I was suspect about this place but I am in town shooting a movie and one of my co-stars who is from China said that Mr. Wong's was legit. So I had to see what it was all about. My girlfriend had just flown from the US to spend the week with me and I decided this was a greta place to go. We did have to wait 90 minutes for a table-for-two. They put us in the back corner which was very private and nice.
We went to another bar for a drink to kill time then came back and had a delicious cocktail while our table was being set. OK so for the food, I ordered a half-duck, lamp chops, green beans and crab fried rice. And lemme tell you normally Chinese food is pretty inexpensive so the prices here are probably the highest have ever paid for Chinese food BUT...if money is not an issue I have to admit it was probably some of the best Chinese food I have ever had (and I am Chinese born in Taiwan).
The lamb chops were crispy, probably the best I have ever had. The green beans cooked perfectly, the crab fried rice was excellent. The roast duck is well roast duck but very good. Oh and we also got the dim sum sampler which was excellent. As good as I have ever had. Xie Xie! If I can find someone to come with me I would certainly come back. read more
