I can run my credit card machine, even if my POS system goes out, which it will a few times a year. Martin is LOCAL and services most of our little town. When the internet goes down, and it does often, those businesses who don't have a stand alone terminal..have to cease operating. Ridiculous! I love that I can call or text Martin, or anyone else at the Merchant Store for support. So thank you Merchant Store, for making it super easy to operate my store, worry free. P.S. I USED to use Quickbooks Credit Card Processing when I first took over the store..because the Gift Card processing required it. They were SOOOO expensive, I got RID of the Gift Cards! But I also liked the idea of keeping it local, so they were my first and only stop. The first woman who assisted me didn't think it could be done as she was concerned about some of the decorations on the sides being impacted as well as an inscription on the inside by the sizing. Since I had just returned from the funeral and my emotions were all over the place, I accidentally burst out into tears. She gently handed me tissues and consulted with the jeweler to see what could be done. He looked at it closely and let me know that he'd find a way to make it work. The ring was done within a week and I received a text letting me know it was ready. Unfortunately, I wasn't ready to pick it up yet and they were so sweet about letting me pick the ring up on my own time. I picked it up today and it's perfect. Everything on the sides and the inscription were preserved perfectly. I'm so entirely happy with I didn't read reviews or shop around, so I have no idea if the price I paid for the sizing is astronomical. I just know my mind wasn't in the space to bargain shop and they customer service made it worth every penny I paid.

In addition there is a busy billiards room that hosts tournaments, poker games, bunco, bingo and various other games. They have a very active theater group which produces two full length plays a tear in addition to sponsoring improv theater, trivia night and others performances. The social committee hosts cocktail hours, food trucks, and special community events. There is an active volunteer community that supports all of these endeavors. Like any community, there is a small group who are never satisfied and are highly vocal. But it is easy to tune them out through selective use of community education and update outlets. At HCR you can be as active or as chill as you like. Head to the clubhouse and join in or stop by the library and pick up a book or a puzzle to take home. It is wonderful to get in the golf cart in the evening and to go for a drive, enjoy the sunset, the neighborhood landscaping and everyone out for an evening stroll with their dogs. Come check it out. My dad very firmly told me to leave them in my grandfather's care. But they were pretty good fireworks. So I decided to sneak the homemade street vendor gunpowder-fuse-paper things home, in my carry-on. I got as far as Singapore before an alert customs official confiscated them and low-key interrogated my dad. Fun times, that. -- In any case, Liberty is nothing like the shady third-world stand featured in this story. I ordered the "Liberty Assortment" - a $140 variety pack - from their website and picked her up two hours later. I was expecting a line, but they had about ten employees fielding online orders and I was in and out in about 23 seconds. Excepting a Twister Fountain that separated into two pieces and was unusable - my order was exactly as described and a provided suburb bang for the buck. Though lacking in gunpowder-fuse-paper balls, the assortment did include all sorts of stuff that had no business being set off in the middle of a city street, so that was nice.
