We discovered Amigos a couple years ago, when seating was very limited, but they recently expanded and the decor is more inviting and authentic. We've tried a lot of things on this menu and have never been disappointed. Our food has always been fresh and plentiful, served with a smile. Two things I can ecstatically recommend: their house guacamole and their margaritas. Their hearty and bold guacamole is made fresh to order right at your table and it's become our favorite guacamole. We love their mango margaritas. We have found chunks of mango in ours, and make certain to always get the rims coated with tajin because they use tamarind to get the spice to stick to the rim--so tasty! This is a really enjoyable restaurant we always look forward to visiting!

The food was incredibly authentic - I tried the birria burrito, a menu item I've never come across before. It was phenomenal, the consommé was to die for. I was drinking it like soup; it was perfect. Washed down with a ice cold glass of draft Modelo, I couldn't ask for more. For dessert, a tres leches cake topped with Oreo crumbles. This fell short, as it seems it was prepared days ahead of time - lacked in freshness. Still good though, just not the best. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was like any authentic Mexican restaurant, nothing unexpected. Overall this place definitely satisfied the craving for some Mexican food, and I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

The thing about the greater Akron area and their Mexican food is that it's really not that good. All of these restaurants serve the same 'mexican'. I ordered a Dos Equis on tap but the waitress said they don't have beer on tap despite there being a whole selection in the menu... I picked a bottled drink and moved on. The food was dropped off and we never saw our waitress again. By the time our food came there were no open tables, it filled up really fast, but we were disappointed that none of us ever got refills on any of our drinks. We were also charged for 2 sodas when only 1 was ordered, but we never saw our waitress to ask for it to be corrected so just paid it. My food was pretty disappointing. The chicken and rice inside the burrito were dry as the Sahara. It sounded good and looked good in the menu but unfortunately it didn't come together at all. Also quite expensive considering it came with no sides like rice and beans.
