It is not big by any means but they have had the products needed on site for everything we've needed done, apart from one large toolbox, which I ordered for pick-up the next day. You can order you anything you need from an endless stack of DIY catalogs for pick up at their shop next day. I am new to DIY and the best part of going to Force is the professional advice the owner is happy to provide. He is very honest (even if it means selling you a cheaper, more appropriate product than an expensive one you may have been planning to buy from him). His advice is also clear, simple, and optimistic that you can easily achieve your DIY goals. So far he has never said he couldn't help us or something couldn't be done. He has always had a simple easy solution and the products to support it. In case you have a specific DIY need, some of the items he has helped with and provided the perfect products for include: 1) a new rubber liner for our shower splash guard (by the way, Home Base told us we had to contact the splash guard's maker, but Force had the perfect universal liner for all splash guards in stock) 2) fixing a shower head issue 3) replacing the Swiss plugs of our appliances with British plugs (we just came from Switzerland and have about 10 appliances that needed it) 4) relocating a light switch 5) Painting a built in shelf 6) Filling some wall damage in with the right filler 7) Finding the right drill and drilling to fix some items to the wall 8) Fighting a slug infestation 9) Reconstructing the inside of a fixed wardrobe with new clothes hanging poles Also, the shop seems to be well stocked with paints, bathroom equipment, yard tools, and, of course, your various DIY odds and ends. I have also been amazed at how cheap many of his products are. Additionally, he has often given me free small items to accompany my jobs when I make a purchase or he has offered to exchange a few of my smaller purchases for the better, more expensive version free of change when I am checking out. The owner of Force is simply a nice guy who's standing by to help you with anything you need. It's so nice, having just bought a house to have such a great shop around the corner to encourage and help with our DIY endeavors and I hope to use his shop alot as we make changes to our home. P.S. If you're concerned about parking, Force is right next to a massive Sainsbury's parking lot.

I couldn't have been more grateful or pleased with the kind help of the owner. He was very generous with his time and advice on each occasion and even though I didn't need any big ticket items, he worked with me until my needs were sorted. If there is something that you need that is not available in store, it can be ordered right away. I would highly recommend this homecare store.

Yes, yes I'm writing a review for a building supplies store... I do lend my hand to the odd bit of…read moreDIY every, erm, 5 years or so. Yes, I felt like a bit of an outsider walking in, dodging the palettes of timber and pipe and bags of cement. For one thing, I didn't know what half the stuff Wickes sells is - bathroom fittings, kitchen wotsits, flooring... But anyway, it was easy to see where all that stuff was, so the signage is good. But five stars go to the man who told me very helpfully about how to go about stripping and wallpapering a room. 3 hours later, with 3 walls out of 4 done completely in record time, it was clear his advice was good. He even told me not to buy some things I wouldn't use, which is very generous since presumably, Wickes wants to sell them to me regardless. They have a new range of paint out - very nice it is too, and cheaper than Dulux - which for me actually meant I could get a load of their old paint on 70% off. Bonus! Parking's easy even on a Saturday afternoon, but they lose a star because of the debacle at the tills. The tills broke - fair enough, annoying but not their fault - but the crazy woman who apparently worked there stomping around screaming about it didn't make me feel any better about being in a building supplies store on a Saturday afternoon. Although it does have the bonus that I eventually looked forward to stripping wallpaper after 15 minutes in a queue to pay....

Marvelous, marvelous, marvelous!…read more I've recently gotten really into windowsill gardening and have been filling all available spaces with tiny green loveliness. I was looking for a good garden shop that offered real variety (unlike the chain stores which seem to offer not much and a lot of it), and learned about Neal's. I'm so glad I did. While it is awkwardly located just across from a prison, the place is just great. Pots galore; a beautiful selection of bedding plants and other outdoor selections; and a great indoor shop featuring a greenhouse of houseplants, a wealth of garden tools, indoor pots and planters, and gifts for gardeners. While I've come to expect independent shops to be a touch more expensive than the chain stores (and am ok with this as I like supporting the little guy), I was pleasantly surprised at the super reasonable pricing at Neal's! I ended up bringing home more and larger plants than I would have anywhere else as they were so well priced. I kept going on about this to my husband, who very kindly didn't say too much as I added plant after plant to our basket! Definitely a place I'll be visiting on a semi-regular basis!

Pots! Freaking LOADS of pots!…read more That's what greats you as you enter Neal's Nurseries. It's a pot fest. Little ones, round ones, glass ones, square ones, silver ones... You get the picture. If you want something to put your plant's in that isn't the ground, you'll do well here. So, that's your pots sorted. Inside you've got your regular garden centre type stuff - a good selection of tools, seeds, other ...err...things you need for your garden. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and are happy to offer up advice - but don't expect help to come to you - you gotta go and seek help on your garden related conundrums. It's in a bit of a weird location though - right opposite Wandsworth Prison. Not sure if that matters, but it's probably best to avoid picking up a spade when you hear about an escape on the news.
