I'd never been there until today. may 3rd, 2026 because we thought it was a fast food place Well the food came out fast, but it was individually prepared and awesome. I had a shrimp cocktail. It came out in a large glass orb (maybe 20 ounces) that was filled with a delicious sauce and about 20 medium sized cooked and shelled shrimp. Very worth the price! I got carne asada. It was thin. By far the worst torta I have had in my whole life. Was so flavorless and the bread tasted stale and dry. It was cold and I can tell they made it 10 seconds. The cheese was a solid white block of nothingness. The chicken was bland. None of the ingredients worked well together. It was ridiculously overpriced at 15 bucks came with no sides or sauces. I just smashed my TV in front of 30 guests at my party because of the food being so dry and nasty. My wife just took our crying kids and said they're all spending the week at a hotel. I went today and was no good at all. I got food poisoning and I told them I wanted no tomatoes and they added tomatoes. The restaurant was very colorful I guess, but the food was just straight slop, and I did not enjoy my experience at all. And my uncle Fleming came and he told them he wanted no toppings on his quesadilla except steak and cheese and they gave him nothing but steak we are very disappointed and he said he is never coming to visit me again. Loved the vibes of this place! I love their giant salsa bar that has so many different salsas to choose from! Although I will say even their "very spicy" salsa wasn't even a little bit spicy so that was a little bit of a disappointment... My friend and I both got their queso birria taco! It wasn't on the menu though, the menu shows birria quesadilla so we had to ask for the tacos. It comes with three large tacos STUFFED with juicy beef barbacoa that was so tender and juicy and flavorful! The tortillas were fried and crispy and the cheese was super melty. I'm not sure why it's so hard to find birria tacos in Atlanta, but this place did such a good job! The consomme was also delicious and flavorful, although a little too salty in my opinion. They give more than enough though, I didn't even finish it all. If I had extra tortillas, I totally would've dipped them in the broth. Best Mexican restaurant in North Metro Atlanta! I have been a frequent loyal customer of Mr. Taco since 2012. Stubbled upon them when out walking one day. The food and service could not be any more consistent over the 14 years I have eaten at the Holcomb Bridge location. And now that they have expanded and added a bar this place will go viral! Don't know what took me so long to write this review. Guess I wanted to keep this a secret for me and my friends but, I think the word has spread. I think this is the best Mexican food in Atlanta. Of course I do not have many to compare to so maybe best in Roswell, Sandy Springs to start !!! I have now gotten take out 3 times and done in 2 times. Every time food is so good. Unique taste, great ingredients, excellent price for the food quality and dine in location in Roswell is really nice atmosphere. If you have not tried it I think it deserves a try and hopefully you will be pleased. If not let me know in my review. I've ordered from this place several times and really dig it. I've been in to pick up orders and had them delivered but never dined in. One of the times I stopped in to order to go. It was my second time and wasn't familiar with the menu. The cashier wasn't helpful at all. If you see someone staring at the menu for quite a while, you some use the very minimum of customer service skills and ask how you could help. Not the case here. I finally decided on the taco salad. Bad choice as it was like a pile of mush in a taco salad shell. Not sure if that's the norm for that dish or a one time instance. Other than that experience, I really like the place. Burrito Bowl - Rice, black beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and cheese. You can pick a meat to add. I've had both chicken and steak. Chicken wasn't all that memorable but the steak was really tasty! This is my go-to dish! Tlalpeño Soup - (pronounced like jalapeño with a T) Per the beau, "This is the best soup I've ever had in my life!" He definitely orders it every time. I finally tasted it and I must admit, it is quite delicious! It has shredded chicken, avocados, rice, cilantro, cheese, onions and chipotle peppers. Thus soup is jam packed with flavor!! Definitely taste buds approved. The small portion is very generous so now I'm curious as to big the large is. Guacamole- Good flavor. Pretty traditional. The chips are always fresh. Not the best tasting the next day though. Mixed Seafood Ceviche - This was my first experience with ceviche and I really wasn't a fan. The beau loved it. I came here on a Wednesday night and it was fairly crowded. We had drinks nearby and wanted something to eat. There is something here for every price point and is an "order at the counter and get a number" type of place. The interior is big and the large room to the right was not even being used. Parking is easy out front in the shared lot, although it is small so I don't know what it is like during peak times (we were there around 8pm). I ordered a couple of carne asada tacos as I wasn't too hungry. They came within 5 minutes and there was a large salsa bar where I was able to dress them up with lime and green salsa. They came with cilantro and onions. They were a decent size for the price and 2 hit the spot nicely. You bus your own table and there was no pressure to leave. Service was great! read more

I have always wanted to try Mr. Taco in Roswell, because I had heard good things. Today Moe's messed up my order, so I decided to drive a little out of my way to try Mr. Taco. Tonya, the cashier, was friendly but not extremely helpful. I told her that this was my first visit, and I wanted to know what she recommended that I try. She simply said that everything was good. I studied the menu for a minute. I wanted to try the tacos, but the prices appeared a little high for tacos. I ended up ordering the steak and cheese burrito. The burrito was good. The steak was fairly tender and very flavorful. There was a white cheese sauce on top of the entire burrito. It came with Mexican rice on the side. The rice was moist. I will most likely go back to try other things on their menu. The menu was fairly extensive and appeared to have a lot to choose from. read more

The food was quite good, BUT the packaging was so abysmal it ruined my whole dinner. They pack their to-go food in foil bowls with cardboard lids crimped in, but in my case it wasn't sealed properly so I wound up with black bean juice all over myself and my car. It was also cold; not room temperature but actually had a slight chill on the meat and the beans. So when I got it home and cleaned myself off, I had to repackage it to heat it up in the microwave. When I dumped it in the new dish, out came a fully sodden paper napkin that had been balled up inside my food. I had no way of knowing if it was a used napkin or not, but it kind of looked like it, so I had to just throw it away. Decided to try it out, thought it was connected to another place by the same name that I like. The inside was nice, clean, nice people. I ordered chorizo nachos as is customary, I didn't really want pepper and onion for some reason they added it and charged me extra, then decided to ration out their chips, and charge me extra when I asked for more. Food wasn't bad, I just found it to be ridiculous to charge for chips when I basically had half a plate of meat cheese and beans. Wtf. Chorizo was a little under cooked as well, it was more like chili. Probably not going back. read more

You really cannot beat Mr Taco. The looks are deceiving because the actual food is some of the best food you can ever have, Mexican or otherwise. I used to go here years ago when I worked in the area but have since changed jobs. I found myself in the area last week again and decided to stop in for lunch. It was good or better than I remembered. I got the burrito smothered in melted cheese with a side of rice and Mexican salad. The cheese dip here is out of this world. It is so flavorful and creamy. It makes all other cheese dips seem bland. The richness of the sauce really comes through and I love the viscosity of it that it's not too thin but perfect to stick onto every bite. I was equally impressed with the steak in the burrito. Each bite was perfectly tender with slight firmness. No fatty or tough parts in the entire burrito and the seasoning was so well I could have just eaten the steak alone. The produce in the Mexican salad was so fresh, except for the tomato which was slightly watery and had no sweetness to it. Obviously a gas ripened tomato from a vendor, but it was fine and least seemed fresh as it could be for the selection. What was really impressive was the salsa they give you with each meal. So phenomenal that you know they make it in house and with great care. They don't skimp on any ingredients as you can see chunks of tomatoes, cilantro, peppers, and more in the sauce. I wish they would bottle it so I could take more home! As great as the entire meal was, I can't stop thinking about the salsa! For a small restaurant in a strip mall hidden on a side street with little curb appeal or really appeal once inside either, it is for sure one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. First visit to this little joint and I wanted to start simple. It's located on a side road next to CVS and across from Olive Garden. The entire staff seemed very nice and helpful. All we're wearing masks except for one. Some booths were worn and at least one had a torn seat. Great menu selection and a lot of options. The hard taco was good and probably a little better when adding some type of sauce. Enchiladas was decent and the bowl with chicken was delicious. The prices for all was very attractive. The joy downside I experienced was not being able to place an order online for this location, however you can with the Alpharetta location. read more
