I have a colic. And told him you need to cut my bangs dry. He didn't and then as he weed my hair again I told him again. And it was too late at that point. All I can say folks you're better off letting your kids cut your hair. Because these people you better make sure they have a license.

Marie's been doing this for years, and her experience truly shows. She's friendly, detailed, and has some reference photos posted to help guide your vision. She'll always give you a realistic, clean cut that suits you. I brought both my husband and son in--my son's hair was getting long and covering his eyes, and my husband needed a haircut rescue. He had gone to his usual shop, tried a new barber and a slick-back style to surprise me, but his hair wasn't long enough and his natural waves made it stick up awkwardly like a pompadour. It completely turned me off, and he knew it too. So we headed to Marie's. She took both of our feedback seriously and somehow worked her magic--by the time she was done, my husband looked great again and even joked that she saved our marriage because his wife finally loved him again. She also gave my son a fresh, styled cut that he really liked too. To top it all off, the prices were shockingly affordable--only around $30 for both haircuts, when most places charge $40 for just one men's haircut. Marie is also very prompt and books in 30-minute increments, so if you're more than 5-10 minutes late, you'll need to reschedule--but she is absolutely worth it!

The chains get the job done, I suppose... but I've never really had a chance to get to know my stylist - they typically have high turnover and a sizable pool of employees with varying schedule so it's hard to consistently get the same person time after time. I feel I've got a much better shot at that here. Get to know my barber - let her get to know me - make it a bit of a personal experience instead of just being a number in the computer... make sense? I mean, if someone's going to be running their fingers through your hair, shouldn't you at least know her name without having to look at a name tag or the name scribbled on the mirror with dry-erase? The stylist running her fingers through my hair was Sammy... sassy Sammy as her incredibly well-behaved (and cute) dog Sweetie supervised. I prefer to have the bulk of my hair done with scissors, because I think it gives more of a textured look than clippers do. Just my personal preference, but that's the way I like it and Sammy was happy to oblige. A lot of barbers just want to get it done in a hurry. Sammy took her time to get it the way I wanted it - much appreciated! And...
