But I Love this place, been going here for the last few months. The owner is a solid guy. And man, he can cut some hair!! Also, the price is amazing! I think I paid 18$ plus 8$ for my beard?? And this one of the best haircuts I have had in years. Seriously this place is legit. And it's somewhere you can go, and not feel like you have to be cool, or a hipster... not hating, just hate when I go somewhere and they have an attitude...

Asked for a very light mullet with a low taper fade, Showed the guy some pictures as reference. My hair did not turn out anything like the pictures. She's the only barber in her shop, works her own hours, and takes appointments only (via walk-in, call, or text), and just a heads up--it's cash only. Marie's been doing this for years, and her experience truly shows. She's friendly, detailed, and has some reference photos posted to help guide your vision. She'll always give you a realistic, clean cut that suits you. I brought both my husband and son in--my son's hair was getting long and covering his eyes, and my husband needed a haircut rescue. He had gone to his usual shop, tried a new barber and a slick-back style to surprise me, but his hair wasn't long enough and his natural waves made it stick up awkwardly like a pompadour. It completely turned me off, and he knew it too. So we headed to Marie's. She took both of our feedback seriously and somehow worked her magic--by the time she was done, my husband looked great again and even joked that she saved our marriage because his wife finally loved him again. She also gave my son a fresh, styled cut that he really liked too. To top it all off, the prices were shockingly affordable--only around $30 for both haircuts, when most places charge $40 for just one men's haircut. Marie is also very prompt and books in 30-minute increments, so if you're more than 5-10 minutes late, you'll need to reschedule--but she is absolutely worth it!

Hubby said that I either needed a haircut or a dog license. I searched Yelp and although Super Barbers is 30+ minutes from the house, I decided to give it a try. There were reviews specific to good flattops, and that is a rarity. Flattops are notorious for showing the true skill of a master barber. Song (sp?) fits the bill. She took her time finding out what I wanted it a cut, studied the photo I showed her then went to town giving me a brilliant cut. Very impressive and I can guarantee I will be back.

Nice, small, locally owned shop! A very pleasant experience after going larger well-known chains…read moreperhaps a bit too much for my own good. The chains get the job done, I suppose... but I've never really had a chance to get to know my stylist - they typically have high turnover and a sizable pool of employees with varying schedule so it's hard to consistently get the same person time after time. I feel I've got a much better shot at that here. Get to know my barber - let her get to know me - make it a bit of a personal experience instead of just being a number in the computer... make sense? I mean, if someone's going to be running their fingers through your hair, shouldn't you at least know her name without having to look at a name tag or the name scribbled on the mirror with dry-erase? The stylist running her fingers through my hair was Sammy... sassy Sammy as her incredibly well-behaved (and cute) dog Sweetie supervised. I prefer to have the bulk of my hair done with scissors, because I think it gives more of a textured look than clippers do. Just my personal preference, but that's the way I like it and Sammy was happy to oblige. A lot of barbers just want to get it done in a hurry. Sammy took her time to get it the way I wanted it - much appreciated! And... I learned something brand new to me, which honestly doesn't happen very often these days - not for lack of trying, but I guess I've been around the block a few times. Always happy to learn new things and expand my horizons!
