I brought an antique brass floor lamp to Zito's to repair threads holding the arm on which the…read morelight fixture was attached, and to restore the brass finish. I asked the owner's wife if the threads could be repaired and she said "so easy a girl can do it." When I picked up the light many weeks later I asked her about the thread repair and she replied that there were no threads. LIE NO. 1! There were threads. Instead of repairing the threads, Zito's soldered the arm and fixture together. Of course in a very short time, the weight of the fixture caused the poor solder job to fail. If the threads had been repaired as I had been promised, that failure would not have occurred. I returned the lamp to Zito's and after it set there for many weeks, the owner's wife called me and said it would cost me an additional $140.00 to repair the light, even though I had already paid $600.00 for the repair that failed. I was also told that the second repair would simply be more solder. When I voiced my discontent and pointed out that Zito's website stated "SATISFACTION GUARANTED" the owner's wife said it did not. LIE NO. 2. Zito's website did expressly state "SATISFACTION GUARANTEED." Zito's then refused to repair the lamp. I should have sued Zito's, but an engineer friend of mine was able to help me repair the threads. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. THEY WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE , THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK AND THEIR CHARGES ARE OUTRAGEOUS. An expression of opinion based on my personal experience with Zito's in 2026. J. Mac Morgan, Esq.

The small divot had become a crater with a crack running away from it. AND then there was rust stain at the drain where they allowed water to drip. I hunted around Yelp and the internet and the BBB for a tub refinisher. And then I thought to call the general contractor who redid the bathroom in the other half of my double and she highly recommended Southern Refinishing. I called them and booked an appointment two weeks later and I wasn't really sure...was the guy just coming out to look at it or what. He arrived said he could take care of the problem right then or come back but that the bathtub would be unusable for 48 hours. They were done in less than an hour and it looks amazing (see my pictures). They were really professional and neat. *warning* the smell is potent. So you might want to complete this sort of project when you do NOT need to sleep in the next room. I think this would be the case for any company used.

Fell through a rotten floor board, so got them to replace that and support some other weak boards. They showed up late nearly every day and did a very lazy/terrible job. Had to call them back out to sand down the new wood more because it was substantially higher than the existing wood. They also did a pretty terrible job at matching the stain. This company just seems to sub out the work, so yeah, I'd look for a different contractor unless you are looking at a specific sub.

I trusted his expertise so we had him give us quote for replacement vs screening that room. We went with screening the existing floors and it looks much better. The rooms they sanded look prefect! I was really impressed with the two areas where we had them remove old floor furnaces and patch with new wood, it looks great and they staggered birds so you really can't tell any difference. The team was very professional and worked hard to get job done quickly. Only downside is the strong smell of the polyurethane. I'm really sensitive to chemical smells, so I tried to air out house by opening windows/doors. It has faded, but I still notice it when I come home. If you're trying to keep your home air quality safe, consider asking about low or zero VOC polyurethane, I wish I had.
