0 Stars. A floor job for removal of subfloor, floors, as well as install of subfloor and pine wood…read morefloors was started by 2 Spanish speaking workers from Classic Hardwood Floors for 2 rooms in our home. The first day Steven, the supervisor did not come to the site till 11:30am. At the end of 1st day we reported that trash was left all over the jobsite, nails sticking out of wood, damage to joists, walls, and baseboards. Steven said that the 2 workers were "his best team." The next day, 3 different Spanish speaking workers installed the subfloor, which had terrible cuts that left gaps where you could see the ground through the cracks and/or 1/2" or greater gaps between subfloor boards. When we showed this to Steven, only 1 bad subfloor cut was corrected; the remaining cracks and gaps were sealed with canned foam. For the floors, single boards were cut with 1/2" or greater spaces from the walls where the shoe molding barely coverd. After the install, Steven said "we had to move out of our house for 5 days because of the chemicals from the stains." We were not told this in the beginning. When we asked if there was another product with less VOC chemicals, Steven said there was "a Bona water-based product with 1/2 the VOCs"; but that "product was not available in LA." We called Bona and was told you could order their product and receive it in 2 days. Overall, the job took about 2 months for 2 rooms. The whole job was completed by "untrained and unskilled workers" with very little if any supervision. We paid the total bid; however, we are COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED and would NOT recommend Classic Hardwood Floors or hire them again. See photos.

I was going to pull it up and put vinyl down in there too but someone suggested I sand and stain it. Mario and his crew were great! I was so impressed with the match they did. It was unbelievable. They did 4 samples before they stained and I think he still "tweaked" the sample I picked when it was done because it was so impressive.

Bennie came out the next day to take measurements and submitted a bid that evening. It was reasonably priced and awarded the job to them. The installers were here every morning at 8AM until the work was completed. They were friendly and always checked with us before putting fixtures in. The floors were protected while the project was ongoing and cleaned the work area every day before leaving. We recommend them as quality workers and would definitely use again on any projects we may have. Sent from D Laurent

We finally found Acadian Remodeling and Benny agreed to help us out. It took a little longer than expected but the time was waiting for tile, not at all their fault. The pricing was in line for what we expected given the quality of work we received. Highly Recommend!

Eventually he was hired to repair damage to siding, reinforce the deck underneath the central A/C unit, replace rotting deck boards, and repair the railing that came loose on my deck. The results were adequate at best, but unbeknown to me when a couple of months later I had to demolish the deck he was suppose to advise me on fixing to discover what you will see in the attached photo - that his workers were so lazy when replacing the siding and reinforcing the railing they didn't even bother to move the railing to replace the siding behind it. Also they didn't bother to tell me the extent of the damage under the A/C where the deck attaches to the house. The finishing strips on the porch have come loose and there were other defects concerning the A/C unit, etc... will not hire again.

The job-site was kept clean, neat, and safe during the project. Minor errors were made right immediately with no argument from the team. After everything we went through due to Hurricane Ida damage (2 years of travails!), this was the final project and we are so gratified that we were able to find Quillen Construction to finish the job. It was certainly the smoothest project of the whole ordeal. Shout out to Davis for being so available and helpful during the process!
