We had lost power in half our house. I called a few electricians and Alan the owner of AM Electrical was available and came right over. I was worried I might have to throw out everything from the fridge, but he figured out the problem and had it fixed quickly. The cost was very reasonable. Since he was there I asked if he does recessed lighting (our kitchen and nook don't have enough light). He said yes, his price was lower than what I had previously gotten quoted from a couple other electricians, and he actually installed them right then! He even offered and installed smart dimmers for the lights, which are great. He had everything in his work van and was very efficient. He worked quickly and cleanly and the results came out amazing. He suggested adding smart under-cabinet LED strips if we want more light for the kitchen counters, showed some example pictures of those, and I'll probably ask him to come back to install those. I don't write many reviews, but he did such a great job I had to leave a review. This is a small business with all the work done by one very knowledgeable professional, so I know they won't be sending another worker with unknown experience. I'm happy to have found my go-to guy for anything electrical or lighting related.

He also checked out an outlet that was warm to the touch and found out that it was due to the extension cord that we had plugged in next to the garage door opener that was charging our car initially. They came out on time, figured out the issue pretty quickly, and got everything working again. I had such a good experience that I decided to bring them back for a bigger project. They installed eight recessed lights in my living room and dining area, added a ceiling fan, installed an additional light in the bathroom, and retrofitted some of the older lighting in my kitchen. Everything came out great and really made a difference in the house. What I appreciated most was how professional and respectful they were of my home. They cleaned up after the work and even came back to patch the holes and take care of a few things on the walls that they really didn't have to fix. That extra effort definitely stood out to me. When I asked to start the job, they completely ghosted me. I have absolutely no idea why an electrician who is getting quite a bit of business would treat a past customer so unprofessionally and rudely and not even say why! I will find another electrician but when I hear of people requesting referrals for an electrician, I will make sure to tell them to STAY AWAY from this company and why.
