I have the bad habit of just running my stuff down to the ground and really have little concept of maintenance, so it's usually that when a bag or a shoe of mine is really ratty and beyond hope, that's when I get something new.
It does happen though that I fall in love with a bag, (like this versatile black bag I had that I got from my sister, which is a Manhattan Portage and a big deal apparently), or that I have something that's just too hard to replace (like my viola case), so when the zipper breaks on either I'd want to have it fixed than get something else. Luckily there's a Mister Quickie nearby at Magnolia.
The space is along the row stores outside the mall, which is fine, since it's the kind of place you just go into and go and there's nothing really noteworthy about their store. I've brought my bags there and it was an okay transaction, though I'm not really super impressed with the work. They had to replace the whole zipper for both, and they got the messenger bag done fine, but the zipper on the viola case was a little wonky. It's a good thing I wasn't too attached to it (it's just a viola case) or else I would've just given it back and had it corrected. I expected a little more since it's a big franchise, but oh well. It was fine otherwise. read more
