We ended up ordering two types of pastry, a croissant with apples on top and something whose name I've forgotten, but it starts with a V and came in two varieties, apple and cherry. It was essentially a dense, heavy sweet bread with custard and fruit on top. The custard was very nice but the dense blandness of the pastry was a disappointment. The croissant was also very heavy and chewy; it appeared shortcuts were taken in its making by using fewer and thicker layers of dough. I ordered a coffee and was told they were out of brewed coffee--again, one hour after opening. As an alternative I opted for an Americano with cream and sugar, which was presented to me warm rather than hot. My overall experience was disappointing and for folks wanting substance over surface appearances, I recommend looking elsewhere.
