Painted right over nail marks, Some of the issues were roller marks on the walls and not smoothed out a nothing was really finished. Also he added to the job and painted on the back side of my TV, windows frames. I know they have lots of good reviews but NOT really finished like a professional contractor should. Real cheep job. Luis would not come back to the home because he said he was afraid of us. All we did was call and call and text. Luis thought we were being sneaky since my husband was upset and called him on his phone, Luis was afraid for this. I could have a police officer come by and make sure Luis was safe in my home, but Luis had his worker do a quick job get the money and gone. I have a disability and when I went to see the room after it was done, I did not see anything because of my ADA I have vision issues. I feel sorry for someone that they do something for. PLEASE RECHECK EVERY BIT BEFORE YOU HAD OVER THAT CHECK, he did offer to come back a couple of times but he was scared and never showed up. Look at some of my pictures of the walls they painted, finished look, this was after they did the job.

We had our house renovated during the summer of 2023 and hired Step Above Painting & Decorating to…read morepaint our walls, wood trim, and all the doors in our house white. We also had him put canned lighting in our kitchen.....BIG MISTAKE!!! The owner said he could handle the job and had the manpower. BIG LIE! First, they lost the hardware that opens 10 of our windows. Secondly, around our windows upper & lower levels the white paint is chipping off. Lastly, paint is chipping off on quite a few of our baseboards throughout the house and they forgot to number the doors and the door openings so they knew which door went in the correct location. This company does not even deserve 1 star. The owner of this company I heard skipped town and went back to Mississippi. But, just in case he is back in Illinois doing business again this is the reason I'm writing this review. Buyer be ware!
