He's very willing to help hash out the details/placement or steer you away from something you might regret or something with poor longevity. As a (very) novice tattoo enthusiast, I appreciated the time that was taken to make sure I was comfortable, feeling okay throughout, and equipped with what I needed to know as far as aftercare. I'm sure I'll be back! Update: dropped a star because I've talked to some folks and have since realized Acme has a lot - I mean, a LOT - of rules. Phones and children are expressly prohibited. Don't even think about reaching for your phone until you are safely in the parking lot or they'll think you're trying to steal their designs. Also, my boyfriend had to stay all the way up front and was not allowed to sit with me/comfort me/keep me company. This was my first tattoo in 10 years so I figured this was normal but apparently that is not the case. Still great quality and decent service but just know that they are STRICT

I can not say enough wonderful things in this one review, to even begin to represent all the praise…read morethat is rightfully due to Morgan Gibson, owner of Blades & Bevels!! First I want to comment on her customer friendly website, which is very easy to navigate thru, and packed full of education and information! You could not leave her website and feel uninformed, it is beyond adequate about procedures, cost, who may or may not be a good candidate for her services! It is one of the best I have ever been on, for a company that offers professional services! That being said, I booked my apt online and was able to get in within ten days! Again all the info that you would ever need is on her website with do's and dont's prior to your apt, for a successful procedure! I have wanted to have permanent makeup on my eyebrows for awhile, to say I was anxious is an understatement! With the amazing reviews and pictures of her work, along with individuals I personally know that had been very pleased with her work, is what gave me the courage to book this apt. At my first meeting with Morgan, she is so calm, so professional, so full of knowledge and education within her practice, you can't but feel safe and comfortable in her hands! I honestly answered majority of her questions about what I wanted with, You decide, I feel very confident in your recommendations!!! With Morgan's knowledge and talent, she knew far better than I what would look best! Everything about her studio was beautiful, super clean, organized, professional and calming! By the time she said we were ready to start, I was so relaxed and confident with her, I literally fell asleep during the process! To the point she had to wake me more than once, for moving in my sleep. The final time she did so, was to say we were finished, and she was handing me a mirror. My first thought was, oh my gosh, she has taken me back 15 years (so near to how my brows used to look, only better!) I can't say my whole face looked that much younger, oh how I wish, but my brows definitely were much more youthful and beautiful! I have to say at this point, I am 59 yrs old, I state this because of a review left on here warning anyone over 50 should beware of getting services by Morgan! That warning I wholeheartedly disagree with! When you leave her studio you are fully equipped with product, and written material on how to care for your brows and fully what to expect day by day! There were no surprises whatsoever, a few times I looked back over the info and even pictures she supplied preparing you on what to expect, I had not one question for it is ALL given to you! I have just completed my perfecting session a few days ago, and I can't wait for my whole healing process to be finished. For I want to see the final full beautiful brows I know I have now!! I can not begin to fully describe the level of professionalism Morgan has, her amazing natural talents, the superior skill in her trade, and top notch customer service with remarkable bedside manner!! I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone, no matter your age! If someone states they were not handed a mirror, or had questions unanswered, I find that very very hard to believe actually! Possibly they are not recalling all the details accurately, idk. For myself, I can not comprehend any of this happening truthfully, it is so far off from any of the experiences I have had with her.

I am very saddened that I wasted over $1000 on this, when I was left with absolutely nothing that I wanted and nothing even remotely close to what she portrays on her social media. I only knew that I couldn't style my hair every day, but didn't want to cut my hair. Oh, and I was tired of it looking funky. After spending time talking with me, we decided on a perm, but I definitely didn't want a super curly one. I wanted loose curls - more towards a wave. Rebecca scoured the salon and managed to find the right size rods from other stylists to make sure I got what I needed. After she'd worked me into her day, I really appreciated the time she spent making sure I was satisfied. I absolutely recommend this salon - which is now Pure Art Salon Studios - and especially Rebecca.

I have been going to Omar's for the past two years or so since my freshman year at JMU and strongly…read morebelieve this is one of, if not THE best barber shop in Harrisonburg! Before coming to college, I had long hair and had been going to a hair salon in my hometown for years and was nervous about getting my hair cut any shorter; however, after coming in as a walk-in one day, talking with the barber I now see regularly, Ali, and seeing the vibe of the place I was confident in cutting my hair short here. After that haircut, my confidence was considerably higher and was definitely more comfortable with my hair. Since then, I have been getting my haircut with Ali who has consistently done a stellar job (my hair grows pretty rapidly so I get it cut on a monthly basis). Haircuts aside, the establishment itself is beautifully kept and always provides outstanding customer service, even calling or emailing to confirm appointments a day in advance. I have been and will continue to go to Omar's to get my haircuts with Ali and I strongly recommend for you to check them out as well!!

I visited this barbershop with my 5 years old boy for a haircut today 10/3/26, and unfortunately…read moredid not have a positive experience. The haircut was not done correctly, and I had to step in to guide the barber through the process. This raised concerns that the barber may still be a student or in training, which is something customers should be made aware of. Especially if they are allowing trainees to cut the hair of both adults and children. Another issue was the pricing. The website clearly displays a price of $28 for a kid's haircut, yet I was charged $34 at checkout. This lack of consistency is frustrating and should be corrected to avoid misleading customers. Additionally, customers should be informed that extra services may be added to the bill, even if they were not requested during the booking process. Transparency is important, and people deserve to know exactly what they will be charged for before the appointment begins. Overall, clearer communication, accurate pricing, and proper supervision of trainees would greatly improve customer experience.
