super knowledgeable and informative, educated me on service intervals and different levels of things, technicians were very helpful and kind and attentive. a bit pricey but the service was excellent, and no pressure sales at all. read more

Removed a damaged tire from the rim - it took all of 5 minutes and they charged me $69 -I said "Now I know where NOT to buy tires ". He told his manager and came back and said "If you keep your receipt-will deduct it from the purchase of tires " I told him "You ripped me off once- what makes you think I'ld come back to give you a second chance to rip me off again! read more

1311 Henderson Location - Monkey business here. Upsold my vulnerable senior father on rad flush, transmission fluid, cabin filters - and his Toyota made it 113 km before engine quit - coolant and oil leak. THEY DESTROYED A PERFECTLY GOOD TOYOTA. Absolute incompetence, do NOT let them near your car. MR. LUBE AND TIRE IS THE WORST CAR EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN 40+ YEARS OF DRIVING. THEY ****ED UP A WELL LOOKED AFTER CAR. read more

Previously I had bought tires here and was not satisfied but now my tires need changing and I decided begrudgingly to give this place one more try and then I met the person who changed everything and my views his name is Karan and he saved the day listened to my concerns and went above and beyond great service read more

McPhillips St location. Something fishy here, I went in for a foreign object in my front tire, probably a small nail. Tires are Pirelli cintauratos with 18,000 kms. They told me that it was unfixable because it was on the side wall. It was no where near the side wall, it was about an inch from the edge, well onto the tread. They wanted $530 plus tax plus installation for a new tire. I paid the $45 dollar inspection fee and ran for my life. read more

Oil changed on Saturday morning. Upon leaving the parking lot, oil pressure dropped below 200. Increases to 400 under throttle. Drips down in idle. Took the truck back on Wednesda. Manager advised that nothing is wrong and to take it to a mechanic for diagnosis. There were no oil pressure issues prior to service. The wrong oil was used as the pressure is normal after the truck sits overnight. after about 10 minutes, the pressure drops, clearly a viscosity issue. I've been taking my truck to this location due 15yrs. No more trust. read more

Sterling Lyon location. The service attendant was deceptive with the information he gave me. In addition to my oil, lube & filter he kept "strongly recommending" more and more services that needed to be done. New cabin air filter, new engine air filter and then a $299 transmission service. But wait, on my vehicle, this transmission service comes with a mandatory rear differential specialty service for another $189. That's an extra $500 for 5 minutes of "service", which is unbelievably ridiculous. My bill started at $115 and ended at close to $800. I am never going back to Mr Lube again. read more

I went for an oil change today and I got the premium package that includes all my fluids topped up. Well they refused to top up my differentials on my 4wheel drive saying I would have to purchase a service package for 79 dollars more per axle. It is just ridiculous how bad they try to upsell. I've never had this happen anywhere else. And I will never go back !!! read more

I wishI would have read the reviews before I went. The group on St Annes sounds the same. I told them I just want an oil change. Before even starting to change oil one of the fellas had my diff plug out. I have been hearing some new noises in my vehicle and will be taking it to my mechanic right away. DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY. read more

They put wrong oil in our car and damaged it ,it cost us a lot to repair it. They never accepted the cost and even did not apologize, although they knew that it was their fault. I will never go back to Mr. Lube. read more

today I went to Mr. lube on St James Street in Winnipeg. I watched as the technician pulled out my dipstick. I could see that it needed oil cause there was a little bit of oil on the stick about 3/4 to an inch. A few minutes later, a technician showed up at my side window and showed me a dipstick that was completely clean. It almost looked brand new and he said your car doesn't have any oil. I told him " I literally watched as you pulled the dipstick out of my car and there was oil on it". I then told him I really am regretting coming here to which he answered-We've already drained the car of oil so you really can't do anything but get more oil. go there again. read more

On July 15, 2024 I went to Mr.Lube for an oil change. They recommended I do a complete flush as my oil was black and burnt, he hasn't seen any that bad before. I was only 2k over my scheduled oil change and he did not show me the stick. He then said I needed to replace my cabin filter because there was a few things in it and was told it would be good for a year. I reminded him that I was there in January and he already replaced it and flushed everything. My oil change at that time ended up costing over $400 because I agreed to services I apparently didn't need. As a woman, we usually take the advice of the "experts" because we don't know as much about cars. This time I said no to anything extra. However, he also tells me I have a flat tire. That I was driving on it completely flat. I was on the highway and felt nothing strange, and my tire pressure warning was not on. They said there was an old patch on it that must be leaking and that old patches cannot be fixed. Then they tell me I need all new tires because mine are old, from 2018. They printed a couple of quotes, both around $2000. They were offering discounts, free oil change, etc and even verified that it would be covered by autopac if I didn't have the money to pay right away. All the special discounts were for "today only". I almost went for it but decided to go check with Kal-Tire. I explained the situation to the person at Kal-Tire and he actually guessed that I came from Mr.Lube. He laughed and said they get it all the time because the employees there are required to upsell. No customer should go out paying less than $200. He checked my tires and they all looked fine. My treads were all around 7 so nowhere near needing to be replaced and he advised me that you don't need to replace your cabin filter until you can't see through it. You can just blow the dirt out. So happy I didn't let them scam me again!!! However, when I was driving home my tire pressure light went on (wasn't on before I went to Mr. Lube) and I can't help but wonder it they put a small hole in my tire. read more

I had an incident at MrLube on mcPhillips across from FreshCo on Leila I'm an old guy. I took my old pick up truck into Mr. lube for an oil change. Everything seemed fine. The boys were running around the truck, cleaning the window and chatting with the service man in the space under the truck then all of a sudden the guy comes up to me And says you have a major oil leak and we shouldn't change the oil until the oil leak is fixed I was amazed since my truck is parked in the garage and there is no evidence of any oil on the floor so then I asked if all fluid levels were OK he said yeah all levels are OK so then I said change oil anyway He talks to the guy underneath the truck and comes back to me with the response. We can't get the drain plug out of your truck because it's stripped so you need to go to Seven oaks transmission immediately and they will fix it for you and say that someone sent you. ( I forgot the name.) I made an appointment at the garage that I normally take my vehicle to for an oil change and a complete check up oil change was done and check up said no visible oil leaks I think this is a scam to try and suck people into paying for repairs that are not necessary I tried calling Mr. lube management, and they totally ignore everything that I say read more

so and so bad, the oil change costed me more than 500 and it's leaking after I got home; I will bring my car to other places to check, never go to Mr. Lube read more

My daughter realized there was a slow leak in my tire so when we couldn't get into our regular mechanic we foolishly brought our vehicle to Mr. Lube. I was desperate obviously because I avoid these establishments like the plague. We get there and they hoist up my car remove the tire and discover a nail in the "side wall". He shows me.... I don't know much about tires but this was NOWEHERE near the side wall. But I'm not a tire expert so I wasn't going to dipute it. He says they can patch it but it won't hold long and, because I had to make my way back to outside of the city where we live, that seemed very risky to me. He says he can just put the donut on OR if I wanted they would give me a quote for a new tire but it won't be a Michelin to match my current winter tires because "you can't find those ANYWHERE." Gives me two quotes one for over $700 and another for over $900. In the meantime, I call my husband and tell him what's up and he calls our tire place in Blumenort and they say they can get me the exact tire for around $500. A Michelin.... So at this point, with little options I tell them to put the spare on and that we will trek back to the country on the highways on the spare because our tire place magically had the tire they said NOBODY could find and we will get it there since it was not repairable. It was not ideal but I had no other options. I wasn't going to get their over priced junk tire. This was also days before Christmas. Not the best time to have a $900 expense I didn't actually need. A few days later, I was able to finally get my vehicle to our tire shop in Blumenort. The attendant looks at it and immediately says this isn't even near a side wall. We can patch this no problem. Mr. Lube put the spare on for me and charged me $55 and put on the receipt "customer refused to have patched". Um no you told me it wouldn't hold. Why would I pay for that? The fact that MR LUBE would be completely okay sending my daughter and I on a spare 45 minutes back to our home on the highways in the winter when they very well knew they could fix it but didn't want to because it was not profitable for them is deplorable. I will never go to any Mr. Lube locations ever again no matter how desperate I am. I knew better but I really hoped maybe they would do the right thing and help someone out in a time of need. WRONG.... greed only for Mr. Lube. Tech was Yeasir and Advisor was Mani. read more

DO NOT USE THESE SHITTY PEOPLE! Multiple attempts to have them resolve issues. Made complaints to head office and BBB, no responsibility taken on their part. Put wrong diff oil in car and made a terrible rubbing noise. Made a complaint on this website and they replied "we want to resolve issue contact us" ...... well I did and no one did a damn thing. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND WILL BE SURE TO HAVE EVERYONE I KNOW TO NEVER GO HERE!!!! read more

I went in for a quick oil change and got the usual recommendations, which I politely denied. Because of the refusal I clearly noticed the change in attitude from the technician. I wasn't shown the itemized invoice and was presented with the card machine when the service was going on. When I asked about the itemization they conveniently told me that the screen was in my face and I should have been attentive enough to see it. Well I'm never going to "THIS" location for sure. I usually go to the one at Sterling Lion (IKEA) and they're super nice. Customer service sucks here and they're really pushy and aggressive with their sales pitches. read more

I was charged a more then I was told the bill would be ! And it's very shady people working there . They kept telling me that buying new tires was my only option! I had the rims and tires with me . But they we're pretty set on selling me new ones for almost $900! But eventually they agreed to change and balance my tires. They told me $49 for balancing and installation each tire. So I thought that was ok . But it came time to pay and he hands me a bill for $124.98 plus taxes so the total was $139.98. I think that's a lot more then $49 each tire! read more

Mr Lube - Gas Stations Near Me - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Went in for an oil change. They suggested new spark plugs and to sweeten the deal, offered to rotate the tires. Shortly afterward (about a week) I got a flat tire and couldn't get the wheel off to change the tire. Had to call a towing company to help. Wheel nuts tightened way too tight. Not Impressed at all. read more

I've been to this Mr Lube a few times now for different reasons and they're always really transparent about things and will gladly explain how things work if you don't understand it. keep your vehicle away from this place as it will be worse off after than when you bring it in. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change. After their upselling, the bill was $500. I thought, at least I have all this maintenance done, that was until I started driving home and my vehicle was running very poorly. I brought the vehicle to my mechanic, who informed me it was misfiring. Upon further investigation he noted that oil had been spilled into the cylinder head, all the spark plugs were soaked and the coil pack was damaged. I ended up having to replace the spark plugs, the coil pack and incurred additional labour costs totalling nearly $500. I contacted Mr. Lube asking only that they cover the cost of the coil pack ($250). After giving me the run around for Weeks now, they are alleging my mechanic must have done the damage, and they will not cover any of my additional costs. When I replied saying that was unacceptable they stopped replying to my email. I plan to contact the Better Budiness Bureau. read more

My sister had an oil change at the Mr. LUBE in st Anne's Winnipeg and they talked her into changing 4 spark plugs and charged her 249.00 for the plugs plus 59.99 for the oil change. They used their intimidating sales tactics to convince her and she agreed to have the spark plugs changed. This ordeal only took 25 to 30 mins and they charged her 330.00 total. Taking advantage of customers like my siblings fears is the worst customer service any business can provide. Don't be fooled and I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more
