After being hit with two polar vortices, my 7-year-old OEM car battery decided to call it quits. I researched different types of batteries on Consumer Reports and identified a recommended brand that is carried by Walmart. With enough research, especially in today's digital age, I could have installed the battery myself but I decided to give Mr Lube my business since they could get it done faster. This particular Mr Lube is attached to Walmart. The garage doors are located right behind the Garden Center. You drive out back and enter through a door, which leads you to a sectioned-off portion of the work area and a door to the service counter. For battery installations, you first have to choose and purchase a battery from Walmart, then bring it back to the service counter. It's unfortunate that you can't purchase the battery at the service counter, since it's a long walk to the checkout counters and car batteries are heavy! After a nice arm workout, I came back to the service counter and was told that car battery installation takes 10-15 minutes and costs $40 plus tax. I walked around for 20 minutes, came back, and was told by the tech that he dropped a nut inside the car, so it would take another 10 minutes. I come back and he hadn't retrieved the missing nut, so he told me he wouldn't charge for the installation. My car was ready to go within an hour after drop off. I would have been fine with an hour wait since other places like Canadian Tire make you wait several hours. But it goes to show you how amazing the customer obsession is here. Of the four different car maintenance shops that I have used in the GTA, Mr Lube is at the top of my list in terms of price, convenience, and customer service. They could have left the nut rattle around the car, but the tech was very diligent and honest, which I value highly especially for auto maintenance shops. For regular maintenance, I wouldn't mind coming back to this particular Mr Lube location. read more

If I could rate this place 0 star, I definitely would!! So save yourself time and money and avoid this place at all cost!! Thank me when you finish reading my review. I had a flat tire around X'mas 2018 and decided to go there because it's not too far from home and close to shops. They charged me for diagnostic and told me it's not fixable. So I bought a new tire from Walmart which took them 30 min to actually find it. It took them almost another hour to put on the new tire charging me the installation of course. But wait, it gets way worse!! The mechanic told me the stamp on the tire pressure sensor is somehow broken. (I'm pretty sure they messed it up while changing the tire coz it was fine before, but I didn't have evidence so did not bother to argue) They told me they will place an order for the part and will call me when it's ready. Part will cost me around $20. I followed up at least 5 times to get them actually placing the order which was actually $40. But the order never arrived the store. So whether they did order or not is questionable. During the course of 2 months, either no one was there to answer or they told me to keep waiting. Finally gave up and had it fixed somewhere else. Took my 2016 Prius in this evening for a simple oil change. The attendant was polite, had a good sense of humour and promised the car within an hour, as there were 2 cars ahead of me. When I returned just over an hour later (after dinner at a nearby fast-food, and walking around the adjacent shopping centre), the car was waiting for me outside the garage door. I was delightfully surprised that the technician made no attempt to up-sell me with services that I didn't need or want. I would definitely return here the next time I need an oil change. read more

Would avoid at all costs! Horrible service, took my wife's 2018 Mazda CX-5 in last week and it was just brutal, not sure how anyone can make a mess of a simple oil change, considering that's literally what they do... First issue was that they some how lost the clip to hold the oil cover on the bottom of my car, and replaced it with some cheap knock off that wasent even made for it. Then they tell me my car is done, but they didn't fill the oil to the proper level.. then the best part I get the car back and the inside is just covered in oil/grease stains.. just disgusting, and when I complain to the manger he rushes over with literally a roll of toilet paper... I kid you not a shop that does oil changes and all he had to "clean" the mess was toilet paper.. what a joke, it didn't clean anything and just left white debris all over, and he tells me to just wipe it down with a cloth and water and should be fine, even though it should be them that cleans this mess. So yeah would avoid and go ANYWHERE else but here or mr. Lube in general, because I called and left a message to just tell my situation and they completely ignored me, so any company that doesn't seem to care even a little bit about customer service cannot be trusted ever read more
