The noise was caused by vibrations in the outdoor mounts, it was suggested by the technician that first he could tighten the mounts and if that fixed the problem it wouldn't cost anything additional, should the noise comeback within a reasonable time later they could come back without an additional service charge and and go into the unit and determine what additional work the unit required and only bill for the additional work and parts. A few years ago, they came to inspect my home unit and told me it needed to be completely replaced. Thankfully, my brother (an HVAC professional from out of state) happened to visit that week, took a look, and had it running again within an hour. That unit is still functioning over seven years later. After that, I stopped using Creel. Recently, I decided to give them one more chance when I noticed a drip coming from a ceiling AC vent at one of my rental properties. A Creel technician came out and said the issue was torn tape on a return duct. He resealed it with mastic and tape. The next day, the drip continued. He came out again and applied even more mastic throughout the vent area. The leak didn't stop. Ultimately, a plumber discovered the true issue: a small leak in a water pipe, which was fixed within minutes. However, after Creel's second visit, the AC system, which had been working fine--began leaking from the emergency line. I contacted Creel and spoke to the tech who tried to convince me this "leaking" was exactly how the system was designed to work. After this conversation, I contacted another HVAC company and discovered that the condensate lines were COMPLETELY clogged with mastic, which had been carelessly applied by the Creel technician. To be clear: there was never an AC issue to begin with. But Creel's inability to correctly diagnose the problem not only failed to fix the real issue, it created a serious one, costing me hundreds of dollars in additional repairs and property damage. Creel did refund me the initial service fee after I sent photos and videos--but they sent the refund in the wrong company name. When I tried to contact them about this, they stopped responding to my calls, texts, and messages. Fortunately, my bank was able to deposit the check after verifying the details. I want to note that Angelina in the front office was helpful at first, but once problems arose, her tone shifted significantly and she was very rude and flat out refused to allow me to speak with the owner Gene. In my experience, if Creel can't find the real issue, they'll invent one--and it may result in unnecessary and expensive work. This is not just a mistake; it's a pattern. I've now given this company multiple chances, and their errors have cost me hundreds of dollars and stress. Thank God I had video & pictures bc they were not going to work with me at all on this. I got burned bc of all the additional costs created by Creel but at least I got back what I paid them. Beware before calling them. They may very well "find" a problem--and it might be your entire unit.
