Yet another West-Midlands go-karting which is difficult to rate. I went to Mr Karting for a 2.5 hour Team Endurance race with work colleagues. Here are the positives: 1. Excellent and well-maintained Karts. The Karts appeared to have equal performance (a major bug-bear when one Kart is inherently better than another!) 2. The Track Marshalls are excellent. Really friendly, provided a fantastic safety briefing as well as a run-down of how the Team Enduro would work. They also cleared track incidents swiftly meaning that people weren't stuck on red flags for too long. 3. The facilities are all clean. 4. On-site catering is good for a track. We were served a chilli con carne and a chicken curry. The chilli was good but not enough rice was cooked for 40+ people (who had booked and placed food orders in advance). You'll notice that I haven't mentioned the track at all.... this is because this is Mr Karting's biggest let-down. The track is tiny and simply not that fun to drive. Any track that you can drive around in sub-20 second laps isn't big enough in my opinion. So whilst the facilities et al. are brilliant, it is let down but not having enough space for a good track. read more
