It's tucked away in a shopping center and inside there is a small table to sit at and dine in - but we took our food to go. My wife ordered the vegan Philly cheesesteak with sweet potato fries and I ordered the 5 wing combo with sauces fries. While the establishment didn't seem the nicest - we were warmly greeted by the owner and she was very kind in directing us to what food to try and have us some options from the menu. The food - the presentation and portions were definitely fairs. I sampled the fries from both before grabbing a photo - whoops. Sweet potato fries with powdered sugar and caramel sauce on the side was like having dessert first. The batter on the fries was crisp and full of flavor. Almost couldn't stop after one. The sauced fries were great as well - just prepare to get "sticky fingers." Now on to the entrees. The vegan Philly cheesesteak was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were well sautéed and flavor able while delivering a little heat to keep your destructive taste buds from devouring the sandwhich too quickly. The vegan meat itself was almost indistinguishable from real meat per my wife - and I would have to agree. The wings were crisped nicely and the sticky sauce was very delicious. It did not need a dip to go with - and it was eaten all the way down to the bone. We will definitely be back to try out some other delicious foods- both vegan and non vegan. You can't go wrong either way!

Their website allows you to order online for pickup/delivery past their opening hours, "confirms" that your order's been placed, but since the restaurant is closed, your food won't actually be made... They do provide refunds the next day though! My boyfriend and I still decided to give their food a try despite the order mishap, and I'm really glad we did. The chicken sandwiches are expensive, but have HUGE portions and are very tasty! I love the Korean Fried Chicken sandwich and their mac and cheese, which has an amazing consistency and taste (although it's expensive for portion size). If you're craving a good chicken sandwich - with crispy chicken and full of flavor - this is the place to get it!! Just make sure you pay attention to their hours.

I pulled up the Chicken Ranch menu online and decided I would try them. It is a small establishment. Tables were clean. There is seating inside and two small tables outside for diners. The manager was explaining they make everything fresh and offered to answer any questions I had. I took a look at the specials then decided on a two piece crispy tenders meal. It came with a jalapeño corn muffin. It was 10 dollars and I chose a chocolate chip cookie with caramel and pecans in it because, why not. My chicken was delicious. I chose hot honey sauce because I was curious. It was so spicy and cleaned my sinuses right up. The sauce came on the side, thank goodness for that. The muffin was OK. It would have been better warmed. The cookie: sooooo good. Because I was being nice, I gave my kid a piece, but next time I will eat it in the car before I get home, like the pros do.

Since I've eaten from every other Jamaican takeout joint in Cleveland I figured I would try this…read moreone. First, a quick disclaimer. I continue to suffer residual side effects from dental work I had done at the beginning of August. My taste buds have been severely affected and I don't feel things taste right many times, nor do I get the nuances of spice. I'm hoping this resolves over time, but it has been quite upsetting for the last several months. Unfortunately, both the dentist and the specialist I went to told me that it may take a very long time to resolve, if it resolves completely at all. Now, back to Irie. I arrived precisely at 11 and a very friendly gentleman unlocked the door and ushered me in. Food was ready and prepared in the serving trays. I was getting food for myself and my buddy at work so I ordered a jerk chicken bowl with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains for him and half-and-half bowl of jerk chicken and curry chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, and macaroni and cheese for me. I also got one of the small rum cake cakes. I think the total was $35 which is fairly reasonable for a hearty lunch for two these days. The interior is clean and unremarkable and they have no seating. It is purely takeout. I didn't get the gentleman's name, but I told him I'd tried every other Jamaican place around and he said I would like like his the best. He was either the manager or the owner, I'm not sure. The food was still nice and warm when we dug in a little while later. Everything seemed tasty to me, considering my aforementioned condition. I did taste the chicken curry, but the jerk chicken I didn't get the flavors of although I did get the heat. My buddy said it was very good. The standard chicken dishes are chopped chicken, but they are also available on the bone at the same price. The mac & cheese was creamy. The rice and peas were well prepared and not some of the lower quality stuff I've had in the past. The cabbage seemed a little on the bland side with just cabbage in the mix, although my buddy liked it so it could've just been my messed up taste buds. I am used to having bits of carrot and thyme in the stewed cabbage from other places, and that is typically the way I make it at home. I also tried one of my buddy's plantains, and it did seem sweet from what I could tell. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to gather much flavor from the rum cake. My buddy said it was good and almost like a butter rum muffin. All in all, it was a hearty meal, and I will definitely go back in the future, hopefully with my ability to taste properly restored at some point.

Best Jamaican in Cleveland, baby!!!…read more Now I already wrote a detailed review on the original Irie Jamaican location so I'll keep my review of this newest location in Shaker Heights brief. I was feeling extra hungry so my bf and I indulged and each got ourselves the BIG and hefty portion size of food after seeing a movie at a nearby theater a few weeks ago. So per usual, I over ate! But boy, the food was incredible and so comforting! I got jerk beef box with mac and cheese and cabbage for 18 bucks. Irie was sadly out of bone in jerk chicken the night we went. My bf got curry chicken, with mac and cheese and cabbage as well for 14 bucks. As usual, everything was delicious and the portions were large but this was the first time we had their mac and cheese. This ain't yo basic goopy cheesy noodle dish! Their mac and cheese was dense and creamy but not goopy! And absolutely NOT healthy! We also shared a rum cake for dessert. For 5 bucks, it was a little pricey, but it tasted so good, and unlike other desserts I've had at other Jamaican restaurants in the past, this tasted fresh! As for the restaurant itself, it is small and clean and designed for takeout. Service was fast and friendly as well. Parking is street parking but you can park in the big Heinens lot across the street and walk over. Overall, a 9.5/10 dinner. We will be back!!
